I booked this hotel mainly because of it's proximity to Fort Jackson. It was a simple, 13 minute drive (without traffic) to the post from the hotel. We got to the hotel late ( after midnight) but the desk was staffed and we didn't have to search for anyone to assist us. The individual at the desk was extremely friendly and informative. He got us checked in quickly which was reassuring as all I wanted was to go to bed. The room was spacious and clean. The shower was my favorite though as the water pressure was excellent, the water hot and the shower roomy. Breakfast included eggs, sausage and potatoes with the standard waffles, cereal, and muffins. There was a little fresh fruit, juices and other items. Overall, good.

Glad we found a nice place to stay on our trip from Pennsylvania to Orlando. Everyone was extremely friendly and profession. The hotel is under renovations which did not bother us at all. We arrived in the evening and had no problems checking in. As a Hilton Honors member we were given an opportunity to select our room on a map a few days before our stay. The room was cool and fresh smelling. We went down to the small pool before it closed. We had a very quiet room but our mattresses were not the most comfortable, so hope part of the renovations will include comfortable mattresses. The room was clean but a bit worn. I always find a hotel that is near a train and surely enough, two trains came through in the night honking their horns. Breakfast was wonderful. The hostess wecolmed us and we enjoyed chatting with her. I would certainly stay again and look forward to the upcoming renovations.

This is one of the best hotels that I have stayed in EVER! Rooms are clean and staff is very helpful. I stay here at least three nights per month on business travel. I always feel safe here; the parking lot is well-lit. I plan to return soon!

The problem that hotels today is that when a lady (Shanetta) called me and say she was going to charge my card for 200.00 each room because she says that was a mess. The only thing in the room was a lot of trash in a trash bag. It was not all over the room. The housekeeping did not clean the room on Saturday morning so that means the trash did not go out that day. That's how we got a lot of trash. Also when I was on the phone with Ms. Shanetta she becomes will loud and unprofessional and say that if I'm that nasty I need to stay at home. Then she says I need to teach my children how to clean up. She had no business saying any of that to me. Then when I ask her to see the room she pulled her phone out and started to show me pictures that weren't even our room and how it looked. I feel that I should not have to pay 400.00 for this because she didn't let me go back to the room to clean it when she says it was dirty and it wasn't time for check out. When I say I will clean the room she called housekeeping and say closed the room so they can't get in. She would even let me go look at what she was talking about. I have been staying at Hampton inn and Hilton hotels and this has never happened to me. I have been staying at Hampton inn for over a year this has never happened. I never had this happen long as I been staying at Hampton inn and she just wanted to make me upset after my wedding was yesterday. She took my honeymoon money and I would like it back. I am not nasty and the room was not that dirty. Please feel free to contact me about this and my phone number is 803-728-9120. And you also can roll you camera back at the front desk on how she was talking to my sister and cousin. Sje is very unprofessional.

Very clean and comfortable. Only concern was the construction that was going on, hindered a late morning sleep in. It was a bit loud. The room was a little musty and hot when first arrived, but nothing adjusting the air and some Lysol did not take care of. Would stay again, if no construction is being done.

This was just a quick overnight break on our drive down to Orlando from New Jersey so value was more important to us than a stunning looking property. That being said we almost turned around when we saw the extent of construction going on at the hotel. To enter through the front door you must negotiate a route around equipment and under scaffolding. Need to be warned beforehand about construction at that scale. Staff was wonderful, breakfast was good. Beds are lumpy.

I stayed here because my friend was graduating from boot camp. It is an easy drive of less than 10 minutes from the hotel to Fort Jackson, gate 4. I was a little concerned about the area just prior to arriving, but this hotel was clean and comfortable with a friendly and helpful staff.

We were traveling back home from Fl and traveled through storms all day when we finally arrived it was around 10 pm & the gentleman at check in was very pleasant. We had booked thru Hampton Inn and needed a room with 2 beds and a pullout sofa. We had prev. stayed at Southeast Hampton last yr and had no problem with this. The guy that booked us told us they didn't have rooms at Southeast to accommodate us at Southeast and told us that Northeast did. We ckd in and arrived at our room straight across from the elevator to find it was a King with a pull out sofa. I went back to the front desk and spoke to the same gentleman that ckd us in that was so pleasant before and when I told him the problem, he told us that he didn't have any type of room like that at that hotel. He seemed to have no empathy, didn't apologize nothing. He said the only thing he could do was offer a roll away bed. My daughter had ckd in prob 30 mins before we did and I told him I would just ck with her to see if one of my children could stay w/ her and that's how we resolved it. I took my child to her room and it was totally nasty. The bathtub & mat was stained with black dirt and their room just seemed to be dirty. Around the edge of the room was dirt and just gross. I go back to our room and ck our bathtub and same thing except not quite as bad and we didn't have a bathmat in ours. So we pull the couch bed out to find what looked like used sheets on the bed. My husband went to get new sheets and we were informed that they make the beds themselves & my husband said well, I thought there would be blankets and sheets in the closet. ummm NO, that's not okay. So we changed the sheets and finally got in bed by 12:00 only to hear the elevator going up and down, which sounded like a garbage disposal running and for whatever reason sounded like it was right next to us in the wall.Also, the funny thing is when my daughter ckd in, he told her he was going to change rooms bc the one they had her in was next to the elevator and it was very noisy! The next morning we get up and go to breakfast, we have 2 autistic boys and there was nothing kid friendly about this breakfast but waffles. We saw a man that had scrambled eggs, which wasn't on the bar, and asked if they had them and the lady said she made them for someone that was on a gluten free diet, my husband asked if there was any more and she said she did have a little so my sons ate those. When cking out and the lady asked me if everything was okay I shared this with her and she told me the manager was the one that ckd us in last night and I told her he wasn't very empathetic at all! She apologized and said she was gonna give us some points. To be a Hilton Honor Member I would think you would get a lot better services than what we had. This Hampton Inn doesn't measure up to any that I've stayed in previously.

I had a great stay at the HaI had a great stay at the Hampton Inn in Columbia, SC!!the rooms were very clean, the staff was kind, and breakfast was the best! Definitely would stay again! The outside pool is very clean and well kept as well and the hotel is very quiet.

This hotel was great. The beds are so comfortable. The pillows are superb. They didn't flatten to nothing like so many hotel pillows. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great. The price was reasonable.
