As a Choice Privileges member who has stayed at a number of their hotels let me state that this was by far the worst of any hotel I have ever visited. The rooms were not only dirty but filthy, mildew or mold on the closet door and downhill from there. Problems too numerouss to mention.DON"T STAY HERE.
I have not stayed at Comfort Suites Myrtle Beach. However, Vanessa at the reservations desk was unusually friendly, helpful and polite when I called to cancel reservations there and switch to Comfort Suites at The University in Conway. I explained that we were bringing our grandson for freshman orientation at Coastal Carolina University later in July. While Comfort Suites Myrtle Beach is only about 8 miles from CCU, she explained traffic issues at this time of year which would make staying at the Conway location less stressful for us. Very helpful - and I will consider staying here when constant access to CCU is less important. Pembrokediner from Lexington, KY
Stayed here for a baseball tourney. On the plus side, the people were nice the room clean, the hotel easy to find and right near a lot of food options. Also there was a laundry room available (key for players who needed to wash uniforms between games). On the down side, the room was SMALL ("suites" is a stretch), the breakfast buffet was just ok, and there is no public transport system (other than Uber) to get non-playing family members to the beach (which is a solid 20 minutes away). Suggestion for families is to bring breakfast food choices (good bagels, fruit, protein bars, etc) and know that it will not be easy for other family members to get anywhere from this hotel without a car
I stayed with my family and we were treated so nicely by all of the staff. The room, beds, everything- were super comfortable and the pool was lovely! We really needed this vacation and this was the perfect hotel.
The hotel staff is extremely professional and accommodating. I can't express my gratitude for the stellar customer service of the front desk staff and especially the GM. Clean rooms, lobby, and parking lot. Very safe atmosphere as well
We stay at this motel anytime we visit family in Myrtle Beach. We find the staff very friendly, accomodating, and it is very accessible to everywhere we need to go during our stay. Close to restaurants and shopping. The staff is very helpful with any potential problems in the rooms. We advised them of the AC Unit making a bad noise the first night and they had Maintenance go up and repair the unit when we left the next morning. Very friendly! Our only complaint is that the motel was busy with groups, and they talked loudly, slammed doors and visited a lot of the night, but nothing the staff could help!
My lovely bride and I had the pleasure of staying at this Comfort Inn recently and was delighted and totally satisfied with the experience. Upon arrival at the front desk, our paperwork and room keys were ready. The person who took care of us was Acy Todd. Acy smiled, made eye contact, and greeted Betty and me warmly as we approached the front desk. He directed us to our room and told us about breakfast in the morning. Additionally, he told us if we needed anything at all, just call and he would take care of us. The room was clean, bright and beautiful. It contained a microwave, refrigerator, and Jacuzzi. The bed was comfortable. Linens and pillows clean and nice. Everything in the room worked perfectly. The bathroom was sparkling clean. All fixtures, toilet, and tub/shower excellent condition. The shower water never varied its temperature. Plenty of hot water always available. The Jacuzzi was a delight and provided much comfort and relaxation. The night's sleep was totally undisturbed and quiet. As close to a major highway we were, it was quiet in our room which faced that highway. Breakfast the next two mornings was awesome. The eggs, sausage, oatmeal, breads, and waffles were delicious. The variety made breakfast amazing. I would recommend this Comfort Inn to family, friends, and colleagues. Additionally, I would recommend it to all of my TripAdvisor friends. We will be back :) Scott and Betty Lawrence
Early morning flight? This is a great alternative to waking up at 3 a.m. short distance to the airport, grab and go breakfast (if needed), very nice rooms, pool, etc Decent breakfast, close to many restaurants and shopping.
My wife and me visit Myrtle Beach during St. Valentine times. We had the Medieval time Valentine Package and the location of this hotel was 5 minutes away. The room was clean and neat. The hot breakfast is hotel standard. maybe a little better than cafe and donuts. (continental breakfast) The front desk clear was very friendly and easy to check-in and out. Plenty of free parking at the hotel and we feel safe. Nice location but a little far a way from the sea.
We didn't mind staying here. The room was quite spacious, had plenty of amenities. TV was easy to use. The bed was SO COMFORTABLE! We stay in hotels a lot, and this was good! I honestly did not interact with the staff at all, so I can't give you much input on that. I would have to say the bathroom was a bit dated and shabby, but the pressure was good in the shower. Towels and bedding were clean, but the carpet in the room was filthy (even had gum stuck in it). Breakfast was your standard fare, but nice and well stocked, had a waffle maker. we didn't swim but the pool was open and very clean. Not the easiest hotel to get to and really not close to the beach if that's what you need. However it's pretty close to the airport and lots of shopping.
