The hotel is in a great location on the edge of the bay for Platis Gialos and Psarou (the one that contains the Nammos Bar and Restaurant. Firstly PG is great for lots of restaurants, the second one in on the beach is very good and we ate here twice. Nammos is also a good day but expect to pay around E100 for two sun loungers and then the food and drinks get expensive. It's not a place to go if you don't want to spend, spend and spend some more so beware. 4 figures is very easy for two people. The hotel service from check in was excellent. We opted to take advantage of their shared transport from the airport which one other couple took as well. The transfer was very quick and I would suggest this to anyone opting to go for the hotel as cabs can be crazily expensive on the island and in short supply. The check in team were friendly and gave a good explanation of the island the surroundings and the facilities the hotel had to offer. Our bags were taken to the room and they were keen to offer any further assistance we could need. We staying in a normal open plan room that had a partial sea view. The room was clean and tidy and the bed comfortable. I would suggest that this is an accurate representation of a typical Greek 5 star. Perhaps with the service offered better than average. The continental breakfast was perfectly edible and a nice start to the day. Coffee was also good with varying options available which is important to us. The pool was nice, not over crowded but we chose to use the hotel's private beach on most days where service for drinks was provided as well as food. This was nice, towels also provided by the beach as well. Great view of the yachts coming in to stay and the tenders heading to Nammos. I would absolutely stay here again as the location is great to navigate the island to get to shops, bars and restaurants in PG. This is the benefit of staying here because it is accessible to the 'village' and to cabs, buses etc. Bus to town is recommended as for the 5-10 min journey I paid between E12 and E25 dependent on time of day and how the driver felt it would seem. Great place.
We started our holiday at Petasus Beach Hotel. It was a relaxing start to the holiday. The private beach was fabulous so there was no need to go to the public beaches. We walked to dinner each evening and had lots of choices of restaurants. The hotel was beautiful and in a supreme location. We tried some spa treatments and were pleased. The breakfast was a great start to the day. Highly recommend! The stay was actually in June, 2016.
When I saw the photos and read the reviews of this hotel I was really looking forward to my stay. Unfortunately it is mostly smoke and mirrors. We were assigned to this hotel as part of a tour package. We did not choose this hotel and had no choice in the matter. We had booked (and paid) for 3 nights. Due to illness and hospitalization we only stayed 2 nights. One staff member stood out, the porter named Nikos. He was very friendly, took the time to chat with us and took a few photos of us during sunset whe he saw our attepts to get a good photo together. Cheers to Nikos! Other staff were friendly. The good- port pickup was fast and efficient. Check in was good with friendly staff. We were located on a garden view room. Room- Due to the fact that we arrived one day late we thought that possibly we might have a room upgrade as the hotel was clearly not full. No upgrade of any kind for us. Having spent the previous day separated from my husband as I was in the hospital in Athens and the fact it was our wedding anniversary we were looking forward to sleeping in the same bed together. We received 2 twin beds pushed together. Not romantic or cozy! The bathroom is separated from the room by a glass window with a screen. With the screen closed you could still see your partner doing their bathroom business! Who's idea was that? We would warn each other to look away when we in the WC. There was a window in the shower that had a street light directly outside. At night we would attempt to cover the window or the entire room would stay lit. Small fridge, TV and safe were acceptable. Housekeeping Staff- Our room was kept clean during our stay. My issue with housekeeping was noise. After a hellish night in the hospital was no sleep the night prior I was looking forward to sleeping in. At 8:30 am cleaning began on the room above ours. The scrapping of each piece of furniture across the floor lasted almost 1.5 hours. I always sleep with earplugs when travelling but here were of no help to me. There is ZERO soundproofing between rooms. To make matters worse the housekeeping closet was located directly beside our room door. The staff would not attempt to be quiet at all and would have chatty meetings outside the room every day. Not impressed. Beach/ Pool- looked very nice, lots of loungers available with provided towels. The pool was ice cold (I am aware it is the end of the season) my husband jumped in and came directly back out. We spent time on the private beach and did some reading (the sea was windy and choppy). Music is piped into the pool and beach area which was a nice touch. Food- The breakfast buffet was very nice. It had everything you could require and the serving hours were good. The view from the VIP restaurant was beautiful. We did not have any other meals or drink at the hotel due to the outrageous prices (Mykonos prices) If you want a quite relaxing place to stay look elsewhere. The hotel looks beautiful but the sleep quality was extremely poor.
To be honest the view that the hotel has to the water and it’s own beach is just an added bonus; you don’t have to pay extra for chairs and umbrellas when the hotel has an actual beach and also pool and beds etc... The rooms are super clean, comfy and beautiful. The room service was really good, the staff was extremely nice. It’s location is ideal; it’s at the bus stop for platys gialis and just down the stairs is the beach. The staff will also be able to get you shuttle service to airport, port etc.. They will get you atv rentals .. Great experience. ONLY downside was that we tried the breakfast buffet at blue myth across the street.. It’s food was a bit better but not that big of a difference.
Third time to this wonderful hotel with stunning views, brilliant pool area, private beach and attentive and friendly staff. Rooms are fantastic, clean and comfy. So well position with plenty of restaurants and beach meters away. Love it!
I was here for a few days for my honeymoon. We chose the room with a private jacuzzi which was located at the rooftop of our room with a private area to enjoy the sun and views. This hotel was not only amazing but it was a few steps away from Platis Gialos Beach. The hotel had an amazing pool with bed overlooking the ocean. The stay included breakfast at their restaurant which probably has one of the best views. The hotel also has a private beach with real clear waters. Great for a private dive. You must stay here! Staff was so helpful too!
This was a great hotel to stay in Mykonos. Not cheap but awesome views of the bay, plus one of the best breakfast buffet's. Staff are nice and the food & cocktails were great. Would recommend the day spa massage
This is a wonderful hotel! You walk into a white wonderland to be greeted by efficient and very friendly staff. The large endless pool is the centerpiece, with a panoramic ocean view. At the poolside restaurant and bar, the staff is plentiful, and ready to make any accommodation you may require. The food there is very good. There is also an attractive bar. Breakfast and dinner are served in a beautiful dining area overlooking the harbor. The breakfast buffet is spectacular! Dinner is Japanese inspired and once again, the service is impeccable. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. There was plenty of closet and drawer space. It seemed that every room had a balcony. The one disadvantage to our room was that the shower was very small. There was a nice sized indoor fitness center for those who would like to do some stretching, lift weights or use a treadmill. We met several friendly fellow travelers there, from all over the world, but if you prefer, it's easy to spend time alone, lying on a lounge chair or day bed, quietly taking in the bright sun and cooling off in the pool. You can also walk a few steps down to the small beach where there are additional lounge chairs and a short ladder that leads into the sea.
First time on Mykonos, lucked out big time finding this hotel. It is perfectly located if you want to walk to Nammos beach club (we thought we would look too old to hang out here, we were so wrong!) or down to a stream of really nice restaurants overlooking the beach, and further onto Skorpius beach club (a calmer, chic vibe). The staff were all amazing - never had to wait to be served and they came to you often enough so you never wanted for anything. The hotel is perfectly contemporary Greek island with white being the predominant hue, with some great furniture around the place (looks like they bought out Vondom!). Breakfast was simple but very nice - wish there had been sparkling wine on offer (I'm on holiday!) but sure they would have brought it out if requested. Views of yachts and the distant sound of partying (actually enjoyed this) whilst sipping on fantastic cocktails in blistering heat - heaven! We bathed on the roof terrace as the beds are cushioned balinese style. Didn't bother with bus - the queuing didn't appeal. Hired a quad and toured the island - great fun and easier to park in town. Tip: get up and go to town for 10am, roam the endless tiny alleyways and then get out of there!! We went once in the evening for sundown on Venice front - got a fantastic seat on the front line, and then hoards of people are walking in front of you and stopping to take pics - a little crowded for us. The island is really cool - there are usually some dodgy areas on islands, but every area, every establishment/lodging was high end looking. It is very clear that there is a lot of money on and/or visiting the island. We will definitely return to Petasos Beach Resort next year, a year older but will still do the partying!!! NOTE: The sunbeds look great, as do the most uncomfortable heels, which we still choose to wear...
I could not choose a better place for my stay in Mykonos. Great hotel in beautiful style and with beautiful views over a little bay in Platis Gialos> Great staff. Great and trendy restaurants all walking distance and just a few minutes drive from the downtown area. The pool is awesome, breakfast is served also in a very cool terrace. Difinitely it will be my place for next trips to Mykonos without a doubt. Too good to be true!
