Good spot in Munich

Had a nice time in this spot- close to city center and the tourist spots you may want to see. Apartment was clean and as described. Property owner was responsive. Things to consider, like I believe most places in Europe, there is no air conditioning which was really rough on us this week in July. They have a fan that worked great, but never really got a chance to cool down appropriately which made it difficult to sleep. The second thing to consider is because you’re in the middle of the city on a semi busy street, it’s pretty loud if you keep the windows open (which we had to do at night to let cool air in). The windows are very well sound proofed so the noise is not a problem at all when they’re closed. Really liked the neighborhood- very diverse with not a ton of tourists around.

Do NOT stay here

When booking this apt, negative reviews commented on the noise and neighborhood. We are accustomed to living in busy urban cities, and so dismissed these reviews. That was a big mistake. The street noise is EXTREMELY loud, all day and all night. There is a group of guys who hang out in front yelling and laughing all day. There is construction next door, so you hear power tools and banging during the day. The street sweeper comes through several times a day, including very early morning, which is also quite loud. We witnessed three violent fights that not only woke us up but made us feel very unsafe. The apartment is located near many strip clubs and gambling halls. Because the apt is just 3 meters from the street, all these noises sound like they are with you in the apartment. The apartment is also quite hot and humid inside and there is no air conditioning. We had to keep the windows open to be able to bear the temperature, which meant the noise was ALWAYS present. Between all these issues, we were unable to sleep (even with earplugs and sleeping pills). This severely impacted our vacation as we were too tired to explore the city and in a very bad mood. We booked a 7-day stay but left after 3 days because we couldn’t keep living like that. We had to get another hotel just to sleep. The host was very insensitive to our complaints and refused to provide any refund. The apartment is nice otherwise. It is a good size and has several nice features. But do not book this apt.

Eine Woche zentrumsnah gewohnt

Das Zimmer ist sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Das Stadtzentrum ist zu Fuß gut zu erreichen. Leider ist die Umgebung sehr laut (Straßenlärm und lautes Stimmengewirr).

Sehr schön, sehr modern

Beim nächsten Münchenbesuch gern wieder - Vermieter sind sehr nett! Hatte meine Jacke vergessen, welche mir nach Hause gesendet wurde. Wir hatten ein „Upgrate“ in die 5.Etage, App.12 - war ein Erstbezug. Wunderschön, freundlich, groß; alles was man Braucht ist vorhanden. Neben dem Appartement hat man die Möglichkeit auf die Dachterrasse zu gehen und über München zu schauen. Bäcker, Bistro und co ist alles um die Ecke und ins Zentrum selbst läuft man nur ein paar Minuten. Also, sehr gern wieder - Dankeschön!

Well located in the middle of Munich

We recently stayed at this apartment while visiting Munich for Oktoberfest. The apartment is a short 10 minute walk to Alstadt and 10 mins in the other direction to the Oktoberfest grounds. While conveniently located, the neighborhood is a bit rough and I would not spend a lot of time outside after dark. The apartment was quiet and large enough for two people. Our only complaint is there was no extra toilet paper and no soap at the bathroom sink or in the shower. So we had to go buy some at a corner market. It would be a good idea for the host to stock some extra supplies.
