Its a nice place, staff needs to work on cleaning midway thru breakfast hours, it was a mess and trash getting ready to overflow.
We would stay here again. Good value . Clean comfortable nice staff . Thank you
The hotel offers very basic facilities. Complementary breakfast was unacceptable by any standard. The first floor room was very noisy because of its vicinity to lobby area. Room and bed sheets were not clean.
We booked this hotel which is close to major hospital we were visiting. Upon checking in, we were offered complimentary soup and cookies. Room was nice and clean and beds were comfortable. Many food options were available from cereals, waffles, boiled eggs, pastries and muffins, microwavable biscuits and breakfast burritos. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.
Stopped in on our way home from a golf holiday. Check in was fast and easy- staff were very helpful. Hotel was modern and clean, a great deal !
Needed a one night stay close to WVU for and event the next day. Reasonable rates, quick and easy check in and check out. Basic amenities met our needs. Towels were standard, nothing special or nice. Mattress was uncomfortable and pillows were awful. Won't want to stay for an extended time but one night was manageable...
Only had two problems with this hotel, The first one was there was no hot water for the showers or baths, both in the evening and the morning. The second thing that really ticked me off was nobody seemed to care if the coffee was there or it wasn't at breakfast, and the muffins were not stale but close to it. Everything else was just as it should be, not suprises.
Convince retail and food Very close to where I needed to go in the downtown area. Very relaxing environment
Hotel had everything we needed, and the beds were extremely comfortable, loved the additional pillows. Close to WVU campus and easy to get to.
Newer motel by Wyndham, lives up to their standards, clean fresh, cookies and soup in the evening good view of Morgantown if on the right side of motel, staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast was ok some healthy choices, rooms a little small but very comfortable good choice.
overall the microtel was ok, noticed many stink bugs in the room and around inside the building, another guest showed me a pic of cockroaches in their room, continental breakfast was a little lousy, great location, could have been worse but then again could have been better.
While the room was clean and met my needs, that is all it did. The staff - while extremely friendly at first - showed incompetence on several occasions and refused to give me change so they "could have change in case someone else needed it." The breakfast offered was almost non-existent. Half of the items they offered were either broken or out. The waffles were pre-made and left sitting out in a container from the day before - saw them on the counter when I checked in at 6pm and it hadnt moved the next morning.
Very new and clean motel, quiet and safe location. Rooms are great and have mini fridge/microwave and flat panel TVs. Continental is basic and only two tables for sitting. Location is very convenient to WVU which is why I stayed, to drop daughter off for college.
The management at this hotel moved our personal belongings into another room without our permission, while we were out. My iPOD was missing after this move, but they seemed unconcerned that they either lost it or it was taken. Still in the process of trying to get some restitution. I wouldn't recommend this hotel for other reasons as well - it was less than mediocre. Beds are uncomfortable (cheap mattresses), rooms are not very clean, breakfast is extremely limited, etc.
I was very leary of this hotel because of the reviews. I took a chance anyway because it was more affordable for me. I was very impressed with Brandon, the attendee at the front desk. There was a computer glitch, and he upgraded my room to a suite at no additional charge. When I got up to my room, about 5 minutes later, I got a call and Brandon was checking in to make sure the room met my expectations. I was very impressed. The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast is minimal and basic, such as cold hard boiled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal and muffins and bagels, but it was plenty for my tastes. The hotel was located right off the exit and directly across from the mall, which came in handy I wi when I wanted to go shopping. ll be staying here again.
My bed was inverted; i.e. head lower than feet. Plumbing (toilet) leaked all night. If you're looking for a place just to crash and save some sprogs then it'll do. Best bang for the buck is the freebe breakfast.
We received excellent service while we stayed. its was only overnight but the staff was courteous and polite.
super value and very helpful staff.. No additional comments about stay. Is this long enough ?
I stayed here while I was house-hunting in the area. The bed was very comfortable, the non-suite queen-bed room was small-ish but cozy and well-suited to my needs (I needed a home base from which I could organize my search), the wireless internet worked well, the room was clean, and it was fairly quiet. I also liked the location--just off the highway, so it's easy to get to, and on the edge of town so it's out of the hustle and bustle but within easy reach. The only thing I think they might improve is the breakfast. Some days, it would be nice to have something hot, like scrambled eggs. And maybe an extra breakfast table--the most unpleasant moment of my stay occurred when I asked a fellow traveler if I might join him at his breakfast table (since there were no empty tables) and he said no. Thankfully, the folks at the other table kindly made room for me!
Go figure...the room itself was tiny and the bathroom was big! The room was clean, but the entire wall above the bed was mirrored, which just made the room feel a little perverted. The staff was nice and the location was very convenient, and I even have to say the continental breakfast was pretty good (it included waffles and biscuits and gravy). However, be warned - this is not a family hotel...it's a hotel to make families.
