Historic Downtown Morganton Loft w/ Original 1900's Charm/Walk/Shop/Dine

Our modern, but charming, 1BR/1BA studio loft is located on the 2nd level of the building and looks over nearby restaurants and shops. The building has undergone a total renovation in 2019 to offer all the newest conveniences and modern comforts, while remaining true to the 1900's charm of the structure. The original building was a Drug Store and the tile on the lower level entry facing W. Union St. still remains today. Suite 201 offers a fully equipped kitchen, large sitting area with distant mountain views, large bath with walk in shower, and comfy king bed. Large windows let in lots of natural light, original wood floors, and exposed brick were retained in the renovation process. The loft is also home to art, commissioned by local Folk Artist Charlie Frye of Folk Keeper Gallery, specific to Burke County Landmarks. The unit has central heat and air, stove, refrigerator, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker, blender, toaster and microwave. All linens are supplied as well as toiletries, hair dryer, and clothing iron. Easy parking located behind the unit where there is private lighted entry. Parking directions can be given. Each guest will be given entry door codes to access the unit during their stay. Enjoy a day exploring Downtown Morganton or venture out to near by Lake James and hike the Fonta Flora Trail or Linville Gorge. Ask the owner about the many fun things to do and see while in Historic Morganton. The Burke County Tourism Office is just a block away.

INCREDIBLE loft in Morganton! The convenience factor of this downtown living space is off of the charts. The loft had everything that we needed for a weekend getaway. The bed is so comfortable and the blinds keep the morning light out if you want to catch a few extra hours of sleep. Karen and Alyssa were top tier hosts. They are so kind and incredibly responsive; you will not find better hosts on any platform. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their lofts to any of my family or friends.

An excellent property right in the heart of the charming town of Morganton. Not sure which I like more, the promise of further updates on an already delightful loft space, or the rustic charm that comes with the rustic “not quite finished” allure this rental provides. Loved the location! Nice friendly town and great places to eat and drink. the town has weird hours though so many places are closed at certain times but that is how they are there. Loved the loft the only thing I would ask them to fix is the shower head. You need a new one, that's an easy fix. The other thing that they should do is file some of the brick nails down in the shower so no one gets hurt leaning up on the wall.

Needed a comfortable place to stay for me and my wife while visiting family in town over the holidays. The apartment is so comfortable - especially the bed. Great stay in Morganton!

We had a great stay at the Drugstore Lofts! The apartment was clean and beautiful! Morganton was centrally located to Hickory, Asheville, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoyed a Friday night concert in Morganton’s central square. We will definitely stay again!
