I went to Italy alone and on business and I could not have asked for a more beautiful and relaxing experience. Michele & Roxana, my hosts at Villa i Laghi, were exceptional. On the first day, Roxana arranged for groceries of the best pasta, cheeses, wine, etc. to be delivered to my apartment and every morning she baked the most amazing pastries and breads for breakfast, delivered in a lovely picnic basket with a glass jar of fresh orange juice and two thermos of coffee and warm milk. They further arranged for transportation, to and from, my place of business and airport seamlessly. I did not know this was part of the experience and it truly made all the difference. They were both warm and attentive without being in any way intrusive. Hospitality is truly an art form and, in my mind, Italy has mastered it. I will be back soon, this time with the whole family.
