This was a terrible stay. When you enter staff is outside smoking while sitting right by entrance door. Rooms had mold, was not properly cleaned, only 1 towl and everything just old. Requested to be moved to another room, employee got an attitude. Second room not much better. Ac would not shut off, bathroom fan didn't work, no liner on shower curtain, several outlets didn't work. Iron was leaking, everything old in room, no smart tv, remote missing back to it, was taped up. Just run down to be charging top dollar. It did not look like what was advertised online at all. Stop suggesting this place until it is remolded. And pool had algae or something was green!

This was the worst Comfort Suites I have ever stayed at. We had problems with the TV. The microwave didn’t work. The bath tub needs a bath mat or new gripping strips. It was slippery taking a shower. The breakfast was not like other hot breakfast. Sausage and Biscuits one day. Add bacon and eggs the next. Then back to sausage and biscuits. Waffle maker. No selection of fruit. Lobby was dirty. Outside was not well kept.

This place… where to start. We took a chance on it because some of the reviews said it wasn’t that bad but we should have listened to the reviews that said otherwise. The property in general is just old. Old stained carpet, bathrooms that haven’t been updated since early 2000s, etc. The staff were nice but we could tell they could care less about the place & their jobs. They take their smoke breaks right outside the front entrance so you’re forced to walk through smoke when entering the hotel. Cleaning crew argued about giving us more towels when we had clearly already used the only two we were originally given. I left early in the morning and came back around 8:30 when they were still in the hallway cleaning the rooms, when I entered I saw they finally gave us more towels but that was it. Nothing in our room had been cleaned (beds not made, trash not taken, etc.) the only thing they did was put a stack of towels on the toilet seat. When I asked the lady in the hallway if they would mind doing our room because I was leaving again and would not be in the room until later in the evening she said “you’re wanting a full service” like I was crazy for wanting our room cleaned. Overall I would say this is a “get what you pay for” type of place but the price we actually paid for this room was absolutely absurd for what we got. Would not recommend and would not stay again.

There was no room for us on arrival after we had gotten a confirmation of reservation from Expedia prior to arrival. I had already been charged for the room and called Expedia for a refund. The agent attempted to make contact with the property for an hour and no one at hotel was responding. Monument sign and parking lot lights were inoperable. Property was dirty and poorly maintained.

I actually did not stay at the hotel. I tried to make a reservation thru Expedia while sitting in the Outback restaurant in Monroe LA. We were caught up in the ice storm and Interstate 20 west bound was completely stopped and backed up for miles on January 27. I went on Expedia and thought I had booked a room for the 27th as I live in San Diego and could no longer be driving on the interstate due to closure. All the rooms in Monroe seemed to be booked so I thought I would try a little east of Monroe. Well the site booked me a room a few miles east however it booked the room in February, I guess it automatically found the next available date and entered it thru the site. I did not realize that as I had entered the exact date I needed the hotel, not when it would be available. We ended up driving south about 2 hours to Alexandria arriving after midnight but able to luckily get a room at Super 8.

When workers are staying at this hotel, staff should be vigilant of dirt left by workers boots around the lobby area, breakfast area and elevators as this is not ver welcoming. Area was left like that for hours without cleaning. Breakfast is the typical hotel breakfast with sausage, cold cereal and eggs. Juice machine was broken and no alternative juice was offered. Not so bad for a couple of nights.
