Great welcome from Halyanne! Quiet restful room. Well appointed and very clean. Great hotel to stay and charge Tesla in parking lot behind. A little disappointed in breakfast on weekends as no eggs/sausage/bacon. Do recommend hotel highly and will go back to same on our return trip in a few days:-)
Everyone was very nice and our overall experience was fine. The room was quite nice - very spacious and clean. The breakfast was good. My kids always love the make-your-own waffles. The one negative was the mattress and pillows were noticably bad. I don't think of myself as overly picky on this sort of thing so it must have been pretty bad. I'm not sure that would stop me from staying again because everything was so pleasant.
We never stayed at this hotel chain before. The hotel lies adjacent to Pecanland Mall and the interstate. Upon arrival, the hotel appeared to be new. We were greeted warmly by Alicia. Check in was quite easy. We were quite surprised how large the room was as well as the amenities such as dishwasher, close to a full size refrigerator, sofa bed along with the king bed and so on. There was tremendous amount of cabinet space. Bathroom was very clean and spacious. We went back to see Alicia to see if this was really our room which it was. Room was super clean and smelled fresh. Forgot the bathroom, which was very clean and one of the best showers. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely stay there again. Oh, the hotel is 6 years old. The hotel had hot cookies available in the evenings. The following is merely our thoughts: We noticed there was no drive through so customers could load and off load luggage during inclement weather. There were only 2 handicap parking slots in front of the hotel. The hotel is directly in line with the landing approach to Monroe Airport. You certainly know when a plane if fixing to land. The noise is usually over with around 9 – 10 pm. Breakfast area is a little tight especially when there is a lot of folks there. Come to find out, there are no eggs or sausage available on the weekend. I asked the lady over the breakfast area about this and she said not on the weekends, but she would be proud to cook me eggs and sausage. Thank you but declined. My rating is 5 plus stars. It is a wonderful place to stay. The staff is very friendly. Kudos to Alicia for making our stay wonderful. Mall is within walking distance. Restaurant nearby. Access to the interstate is easy.
This was an overnight stay booked through a third party. We did not have a problem with check in and out. The hotel areas and room was clean. There is a restaurant and a small bar at this location. Beds were comfortable. WiFi worked well. This hotel is not far from restaurants and gas stations.
New hotel that has excellent rooms and superb service. Everyone here is polite, professional and accommodating. The rooms are nice and spacious and the hotel is located in an ideal location. Located on the outskirt of the PecanLnad shopping mall. Several popular restaurants, a large Target, nieghborhood Walmart, and so many more amenities within 1 mile of hotel.
We have stayed at other TownePlace Suites, but the staff here was very friendly/kind, was clean. My only complaint is the bed/pillows were not so comfy. Had a king size bed and when I turned it was like I was about to bounce my husband out the bed, we are thin people. Not enough pillows, they were thin. The bathroom was fine but just not Marriott quality that I was use too. Breakfast was good, thought they could make it a tad bit longer (Monday 6:30-9). People were still coming down at 8:45/8:50 to eat. Pool was nice from our room that we could see, well keep. Not bad, just not like others that I am comparing too.
I travel all the time, this is a very clean hotel with a terrific staff. Great attention to detail and affordable. Staff was friendly, and professional. Breakfast was good, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. Highly recommended!
It's been a while since I traveled and almost forgot to write this review. My husband and I traveled to Monroe, LA exactly one week ago today for pleasure. I selected this property based solely on the TripAdvisor reviews and was glad that I did. This hotel is exceptionally clean. The staff is very friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate any need. Here's an example: On second morning there we went down for breakfast and I expected to see have sausage patties as I had had the previous day . There weren't any. I realized due to limited space there wasn't room on the counter due to the waffle maker that had not been there the day before. Yes, I was a little disappointed but figured it wasn't that serious. Well, my husband later told me that a lady sitting two tables over from us asked a staff member what happened to the sausage. The staffer went into the kitchen and prepared some for her. So.... the next day, our last day, I went directly to a staff person and asked if I could possibly have some sausage and she gladly prepared enough for me and my husband! Now that's what I call service. A few other comments: We didn't use the workout room or the pool as we had other things to do outside the hotel but both looked clean. Our room was spotless and the bed and sheets were so inviting. We slept like babies - that is until our 14-year-old Chihuahua woke us up each morning before sunrise to take her outside. LOL. I give this property my highest recommendation and if I'm ever in Monroe again I will definitely book a stay here. In fact, I will now look for TownePlace Suites for all of my future travels. Thank you so much hotel staff for a wonderful experience.
I really wanted to give this hotel a 5 except that the breakfast is only available until 9am, and the breakfast options are limited in comparison to other Marriott branded hotels where I've stayed. Here is the good: Upon arrival, I was greeted by a clerk named Andrea. She was so courteous, friendly, and helpful. I was a couple of hours earlier than I thought I would be, so I checked with her to see if it was possible to get checked in. Unfortunately for me, they had been fully booked the night before and had no room yet available. I was perfectly fine with it & left to go eat, and when I came back at the time I was scheduled to check in, my room was ready. Andrea had my key cards all ready to go when I walked back in. She told me she makes a point to strive to meet the requested check in time, and she made sure it was done. Besides Andrea, every employee we came into contact with was friendly. The only employee who never acknowledged us was the clerk today (our day of check out). Next, this hotel is amazingly clean and well kept. This has to be the cleanest of any of the Marriott hotels I've stayed in, and I would go as far to say perhaps the cleanest hotel I've stayed in. It was noticeable, and the effort put in to ensure how well kept this place is was visible. The ladies doing this work are doing a thorough job, and I can tell they take pride in what they're doing. The breakfast situation: If you want to eat, better be downstairs before 9:00am. I saw a couple come in maybe a couple of minutes before 9:00, and the wife went and asked for more eggs to be put out which did get done, and the lady running the breakfast setup began closing it down at 9:00. She did ask if anyone needed anything before she started her routine. She locked up and closed cabinetry on refrigerated items and was doing her job, but there were people just coming in to start eating and people who were not yet done. 9:00am is too early to close down breakfast. The other Marriotts I've stayed at keep breakfast going until 10:00 which is much more reasonable. The other thing about the breakfast at this one is there is a much lesser selection of breakfast items than any of the others where I've stayed. The best is the TownePlace in Covington, LA, and the mgmt of this location could take notes from that one. In fact, this one could take pointers from any of the others I've experienced as far as this goes. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay in the Monroe area and will choose it again when I'm there. Just be sure you're downstairs for breakfast by 8:30 at the latest if you're a grazer and don't expect much from it.
I think I got better sleep in this bed then my own bed. I got in late so I was upgraded to a bigger room but that didn't matter because it was only me. My bed was the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. I felt like I was sleeping on clouds. The air conditioner worked perfect, kept the room cool like I like it. Short stay so I didn't use the kitchen but it was clean as was the entire room. Bathroom was big and clean. Breakfast was to be expected. I mean I didn't expect an omelette so it got the job done by putting something on my belly. Front desk staff was really sweet. Quiet and peaceful nights right next to Applebee's and the mall. And right off the highway so great for my travel. Five min from airport. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel!
