After reading the last review I'm wondering why the pool 🏊 was in such condition. I didn't use the pool but my room was near it. Hopefully that situation is addressed & rectified because I know what it's like to have disappointed kiddos.😢 I didn't see any cockroaches in my room anywhere but I do hope that concern is addressed. I had a very nice room & it was very nice & clean & the bed was so comfy. I had a king bed handicap accessible room. It was very nicely decorated & very comfortable & cozy. The AC unit worked very well & the shower 🚿 was amazing after a 14 Hr drive I was glad to be there. I arrived around 9pm & did notice some questionable guests on the premises but I did not experience any issues or problems while there. So, maybe that should be addressed too. I didn't venture out during the night but I did go out to eat for breakfast 🍳 as I was in a hurry. The hotel offered ham, eggs, & biscuits as well as other items in the morning when I checked out. The staff were very nice, friendly, polite, & helpful. I can't say anything but good about them😊 I'd highly recommend this as an overnight stay & I do hope all the issues raised by the disappointed reviewer before me are addressed. We used priceline name your price and got a good price but were disappointed. After 12 hrs of driving all our 3 kids wanted to do was swim. We excitedly jumped into suits and headed to the outdoor pool. I was shocked to see white fuzzy mold like gunk floating on top bubbling and festering. We had three disappointed kids and headed back to our room pass g quite a few shady patrons on the way. Beds were lumpy room was tiny and needed updating. Woke the next morning to a roach crawling out of my makeup bag left on the bathroom counter. Hotel not in the best of areas all around disappointed.
Very professional and hospitable staff. Great room, nicely appointed and quiet. I was impressed most with the staff and the security, even in the parking lot. One highlight was BACON on the hot breakfast menu and the southern style cooking. Close to many excellent restaurants and shopping.
Showed up early in the rain expecting to wait to check in, but the guy at the front desk was very accommodating and nice. Allowed me to check in early and he let me park my bike under the covered area in the breeze way out of the rain. Would definitely stay again.
I just needed a place to relax and escape the big city for a moment, and just so happen a family member suggested to try this hotel. One thing tried and loved every minute of my stay. The bed was comfortable, breakfast was plentiful and well organized, nice well maintained rooms, also a friendly and professional staff.
This hotel had newly renovated rooms that really impressed me. Everything was clean and the staff was extremely friendly! I would and will stay again. I recommend this hotel to everyone who is looking for a clean room with a comfortable bed!
In town for a graduation this week and all the hotels were sold out except for this one. Based on how it looks outside (it looks a little old) I would've never guessed that the rooms were that nice. I was pleasantly surprised. The price I paid was very reasonable considering I couldn't find another room anywhere else.
This motel was a good stop for my wife and I. The room was clean, TV & WIFI worked, The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. This is a great location for a peaceful nights sleep at a good price.
I reserved one night for my family of 5 because we were driving through and visiting Duck Commander. I saw on booking.com where it said 2 queen beds and a sofa bed. We get to our room and it has 2 queen beds and a small chair that's not a sofa bed. I ask the front desk, who was very friendly, and he said he's not sure why it says that because they don't have any sofa beds. I ask for a rollaway and he said the one they had was being used. So I asked for sheets and a blanket so my son could make a bed on the floor and he gives me sheets and says there are no more blankets. I thought that was odd but took the sheets and my son being 10 didn't mind the floor as much as I did. I shuddered at the thought of what was on there as I don't even like to walk barefoot in hotel rooms. We made do with it. Another thing was the 2 queen beds were hard as a board. Being next to the stairwell where people were running up and down all night it was probably the worst nights sleep for my husband and myself. The breakfast was a typical hotel breakfast with ham, eggs, biscuits, waffles, cereal, coffee, and juices. One more thing, you might want to tell your housekeepers to ease up on the cursing in front of guests and their children. As we were loading up our car the next morning we overheard a loud conversation about a mf'er.
I stayed at this hotel in the beginning of the year- January 2017. A friend and I were going on a road trip from Virginia all the way to Texas. We took the route of the Southern states which was fun. Unfortunately, we decided to stay at this hotel. After checking out of this hotel I realized I had left my jacket when I was about 2 hours away. I immediately called the hotel and got assistance from the associate at the front desk by the name of Jamie W. She reassured me that if I buy a label and fax it to them she would schedule a UPS pickup and get my package sent right away. The next state over we decided to get my label and I then emailed her the label. She responded that she had received it and would notify me when the package had been sent. So each day I decided to check the tracking. Still no sign of movement. I called the hotel several times and each time Jamie assured me that she was making arrangements. Finally on the 3rd day of calling I spoke to her manager who told me the package and been sitting there. He then told me he would take it personally the next morning. Still no sign of movement... I had, had it then! I finally spoke back to the hotel after I had finally arrived home after a week and still no tracking information updated. Jamie then tells me that i need to schedule a pick up because it cost! Terrible customer service ! I know it cost-- ''tis why I asked... you said your Hotel would take care of it and then lied about it!!! I ended up having the schedule the UPS pickup myself weeks later! I could have done that from the get go!!! I don't recommend anyone stay here if you are looking for professional customer service. You won't find it here. Just empty promises and lies. And don't try and contact the regional manager.... he/she will just send you an automated template of how sorry they are. Terrible!
