Holiday Inn Downtown - Missoula

3.0 out of 5.0

Recent guest reviews

Didn't state that pool and sauna were under construction when we booked online. Breakfast isn't included in your stay. Black coffee with breakfast costs 2.99. No private outside entrance/exits.

The location is the major draw as it is located in downtown Missoula, making everything within walking distance. Some upgrades to the rooms recently have made it that much more classy and comfortable. The Staff is friendly and helpful and the place as a whole is clean and inviting. The Holiday Inn Downtown Missoula is within walking distance of fine art galleries, fine eating establishments, breweries, distilleries and two of the finest entertainment venues around, the Wilma and the Top Hat. The Clark Fork River and the river walking trail is out the back door and U of M campus is less than a mile away.

Only stayed one night. Did not have any food. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice. The bathrooms could really use an update.

Rooms & hallways were very dirty. Room doors are filthy. Clothing from previous customer was on the floor next to a chair, as well as, paper scraps on carpet, so the maid had obviously not vacuumed. Access to room was an extremely long walk all the way around the building.

We have stayed in Missoula twice this year. The other hotel we stayed at was quite a bit cheaper, had a way nicer pool, and a continental breakfast. The staff here was very curteous, the room was adequate. The best thing about this hotel are location and the staff. They do have a coffee shop in the hotel which was nice.

Stayed only for one night. Room was nice and staff was good. No complaints.

Great location. Close to everything. Don't miss Market on Front - best BLT I've ever had!

Very Clean Rooms and Property. Friendly Staff. Nice workout Facilities. Great location Downtown Missoula.

I love this hotel! Room was great, very nice restaurant downstairs. Pool and hot tub should be open later.

Great location, clean room, pleasant staff... what more could you ask for?

Great place to stay for a good price. Located downtown close to everything. Great staff. Comfortable beds.

The hotel was nice enough; but our problem was with what the hotel staff called "a 3rd party reservation". We requested and paid for a king sized bed with breakfast for 2. Our room had 2 double beds and no breakfast coupons. When we called the front desk to see if we could get what we paid for they said, "sorry, we don't have any rooms left with a king sized bed. When you make a request using a 3rd party reservation service you are guaranteed a room...not the bed size". They did bring our breakfast coupons but we slept in separate beds for our anniversary weekend :-( I have used travel sites for years and never had this happen before! This was our experience

Exactly what we expected. Nothing over the top, just a good clean room. Location is excellent in the heart of downtown!

the stay was pretty good it was mainly used to sleep

Pet friendly hotel and city centre, great walking and running, biking opportunities abound!

I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Close to the University and downtown. This is the perfect basecamp for exploring Missoula.

Do not stay in an atrium facing room. There are no solid curtains to keep the bright atrium light from flooding into the room. It kept me waking up all night. Also the person with whom I was travelling, was forced to change rooms after his bathroom flooded at 4am, which the rep at the front desk informed us is not an uncommon occurence.

This hotel is way overrated to say the least. It is not conveniently located and is old and very dirty. The floors are filthy and the overall appearance is depressing and worrisome. We walked in and 10 minutes before we even checked in, we checked out. If there are no rooms in Missoula, you have no options and the weather allows it, sleep in your car or camp outside as it will be better than this hotel. Far Superior Option - The Holiday Inn Express and Suites. It is new, very nice hotel, in a good location, better priced and is the best hotel in Missoula without a doubt.

Situated right in downtown, pool, bar, casino as bad pay-off as any other, restuarant is fine but Missoula has outstanding dining so go find that but if you need an early breakfast it's the best in town. Room is great, bath could be more upscale but almost there.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It's located right in downtown, so it's easy to walk everywhere, which was great. There's also a great trail that runs right outside between the hotel and river. The biggest problem is that the walls and floors are really really thin. Not a quiet stay.
