Mercure Hotel Mildura

Spent the night at the Mercure hotel. It is a very old hotel, with character. The amenities were modern, clean and comfortable. Tried to order in room service, after waiting for 10 minutes, I hung up. Rang back 10 minutes later and placed my order. Menu was limited, however the meal I received was worth or the hassle that I went through. I would stay there again.

Great central location. Room was clean, air conditioned, heated and well priced. Staff were polite and obliging. Sufficient parking. 3 little pigs meals were wonderful. Will definitely be staying again.

Always a very nice stay they are in an excellent location and have very clean rooms. My wife and I have stayed on two occasions and found the experience pleasurable both times. Staff were very helpful with the phone charger left behind.

We have stayed before so are return customers. We like the location, spacious arrangement comfortable beds and kitchenette. One slight drawback is in the bathroom where the shower is an odd arrangement (and was not hot on one morning - system failure, I gather). Otherwise, a very nice place to be based for a few days in Mildura

This hotel is located in a convenient location close to river & town centre, has plenty of off-road parking & is a quiet location, restaurants within walking distance, modern appointments & well serviced with friendly & helpful staff

I've been staying at the Mercure on business trips for almost 5 years now. It's been very consistent the whole time - the staff are always friendly & professional, the rooms are quite spacious and well-appointed. Many have corner spas or standard-bath spas, which are very welcome after a long day of driving around visiting clients. The downside to such large rooms is that they're difficult to get/keep warm in winter, so I always make sure to pack extra-fleecy pyjamas & bedsocks! The front converted-balcony rooms can get quite warm in summer too, due to the large expanse of glass. Request a room down the back to avoid extreme temperatures, as well as noise from the staircase and heritage-listed lift (it's truly a unique experience - not recommended if you're claustrophobic or even a tiny bit afraid of elevators!) On my last trip, the restaurant had changed hands....again! Being in the same building as the hotel, it's convenient to go there for breakfast and I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict made by the previous proprietors immensely. My, how things have changed! There were only 2 other guests in the dining room (so it was hardly busy) but I stood waiting at the counter for several minutes. I worked out the woman setting tables must've worked there (no discernible uniform) but she went about setting 3 more tables after seeing me! She was clearly bored and very uninterested in interacting with customers. I ordered coffee whilst I waited for my boss to join me. It was truly awful! We both ordered breakfast, which took almost 1/2 hour to arrive - for French Toast and Spanish Eggs, neither of which should take long. Both were disgusting - the fried egg on top of a raw tortilla & tomato salsa (or "Spanish Eggs" apparently) wasn't cooked (the egg white was raw!) and the French Toast could not have been blander if they tried. Plain white bread dipped in unseasoned egg and fried in vegetable oil. Just awful. We had to rush off to an appointment, leaving most of our breakfast uneaten. The waitress was nowhere to be see to complain to anyway! Such a shame this great hotel is let down so spectacularly by the breakfast. My advice is to take a short walk to Stefano's Cafe on Deakin, as we did the following morning - you won't regret it!

The rooms are all very different. No such thing as 'standard' in this motel - my three colleagues and I stayed in seperate rooms - all had completely different experiences. Bed was ace - like one of the best in any motel I've stayed. However decor and bathroom were very average. This is not a motel for a 'holiday' but a one night stay is ok.

We recently stayed at hotel mildura with our family and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Our room exceeded every expectation we had and the staff were absolutely awesome in their efforts to assist us in every way we asked. The restaurant next door Three Little Pigs also really helped us enjoy our stay with a beautiful dinner. We would have no hesitation in referring anyone to stay in such a wonderful property. We look forward to staying with you again soon.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Mercure Mildura. We were first time visitors to the area and the staff bent over backwards to accommodate our every need. Quite reasonably priced for a central location (approx 5min walk to the beautiful riverfront) and would definitely recommend the hotel and the area to all visitors.

Staff are brilliant, location is very central, the room (2 bed apartment) was clean and Inviting. Food at the resteraunt was pretty good without being spectacular, but you get value for money. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
