Perfect location. A gorgeous straight line walk though the park to the cathedral and galleria. Very quiet neighborhood. And a staff that bent over backwards to make our stay one that exceeded our expectations. The beds were dated. Otherwise 5 stars all around.

The staff was very nice and helpful! We loved our room, the balcony, and the view! The location couldn't be more perfect to fabulous restaurants and site seeing!!

Really enjoyed our brief stay. Hopefully will be back!

We just loved this hotel. We stayed one night, mostly to have a place to stay the night before we caught a plane back to the States. We got so much more! The hotel is perfectly located, just north of Milan's main park area,. It is a very pleasant walk , from the hotel, through the park, to Milan's main tourist attractions. At night, the hotel is close to a bunch of wonderful restaurant/ bars where you can have a great, inexpensive dinner. This part of town is not at all touristy, and you feel like one of the natives. The breakfast is really, really good with lots of delicious choices. The staff is amazing. Their English is really good, and we received full concierge service. The desk clerk laid out a full sightseeing plan for our day in Milan, and also planned everything we needed to get to the airport the next day. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. The price was extremely competitive with what we paid elsewhere for a lot less!

We enjoyed our night here in the Lancaster. We made the mistake of walking to the hotel from the train though. Grab a taxi. The walks around the hotel are nice and the staff was helpful

We really loved the Lancaster Hotel...beautiful room, friendly, helpful staff, great location. EXcellent value also.

Overall a good experience. You can walk to the arch and park which is great and near their are plenty of place for food/drinks. Parking is scarce, but you can park down the street for only a few euro's depending on the time. M-F 8-6 you have to pay and can only park in Blue area's. You can buy your time cards at the front desk and then place them on the dash. The wifi is alittle funky. Each device needs its own code and if you + wife have one laptop and one phone that is 4 devices and the paid service only gets you 2. Then you have to enter the code every time you go on the internet, you cannot save the code and the code is very long and time consuming to enter.

Beautiful old hotel with welcoming staff and excellent breakfast. Enjoyed the location in a charming residential area of Milan within easy walking district of central area.

My wife and I stayed there for three nights in May 2012. We walked each day through a beautiful park into the city. The hotel personnel were very nice and helpful. The place was very clean. The breakfasts were plentiful and good. It's in a fairly quiet residential area. We would definitely stay there again.

Very friendly, courteous staff. Clean efficient hotel with great location.

the hotel looked new and clean. Shower worked great and the bed was huge! Breakfast was very nice, large for an European style but really, plenty. From fruit, yogurt, sweet and non-sweet breads, juices, Italian cakes, and made-to-order hot drinks (cappuccino, espresso, tea etc) The staff was very nice and cordial. The location is a bit confusing but it's near the Piazza della Repubblica and there are trams you can catch there. Although we did most of our visits by foot. You can walk through Parco Sempione to Castello Sforzesco and continue on to Duomo and the center of the town.

The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff was helpful and friendly. It is located in a business district with very few places to eat. What is available was expensive and a good walk from the hotel. However, the beautiful trees and lovely area made it very enjoyable for walking. The park is close by.

- Location is close to Cardona Stazione, metro, and tram. Park Sempione is only 2 1/2 blocks away and next to that is the famous Sforza Castello. 15-minute walk after that to Milan centro. - Breakfast was plentiful: hard boiled eggs, Parma & Prosciutto ham slices, cheeses, rolls, various croissants, cereals, juices, coffee, latte, cappuccino, tea or expresso. Enough with which to skip lunch! - The rooms are small so make sure you pack a toiletry kit that you can hang or arrange your luggage so that you can use as a chest of drawers as there is only room to hang a few clothes. - The staff will give you maps and are very helpful with directions. They also sell metro tickets.

Great deal for a hotel. Easy walk to express to aiport, as well as tram to Duomo and anywhere in Milan. Nice clean room, ours even had a balcony. Helpful staff and nice breakfast.

Short walk to Cadorno Station to get to airport or use the Metro. Wonderful staff, quiet, perfectly clean. Our only very minor hope/complaint would be that the rooms should be non-smoking. We could have window open so not a problem. We loved this hotel--best one we have stayed in in Milan.

This hotel was a bit off the beaten path of central Milan, but it was perfect in so many ways. First, it was reasonably priced. Secondly, it was in a nice, quiet location within a reasonable walking distance from Cardona Station. Lastly, they served a wonderful continental Italian breakfast each morning and the rooms were clean and well kept. They also held our luggage on the day we checked out, as we weren't leaving Milan right away. This enabled us to spend the morning and early afternoon in the city without worrying about the inconvenience of hauling our luggage around.

The location of the hotel was really good - far enough from downtown that it wasn't too noisy, but close enough that we could walk there. The hotel staff were fantastic and so helpful. We accidentally left something in our hotel room when we left, and they were kind enough to have it sent to our next hotel in Venice...thank you, thank you, thank you!

This hotel is nicely situated for those who do not want to be right downtown. It is a walk to the Duomo and Central Train station but we enjoyed the quite neighborhood. the staff speaks very good English and is quite helpful

We arrived late to the hotel. Reception was very friendly and helpful with great recommendation for dining that evening. Room was very small but clean and comfortable. The location was great (short walk to castle and Duomo)

Staff is wonderful and the hotel is beautiful.
