I remember the first time I drove into Miami Everlades Campground, I felt like I was traveling back in time to the sixties. We were greeted by a charming row of cabins and an avocado grove set up for tent camping. As we continued to drive, a 1960’s A shape style building serves as the camp store and reception area. The pool is heated and it’s big and the coolest thing is catching the parachuters that land in the field adjacent to the campground. You can see them clearly. Occasionally, you can also catch the hot air balloon leaving from there very early if the wind conditions are right. It’s like magic when that happens. Living here as a fulltime family has given us the opportunity to get closer to each other in a setting that feels like a country club. We’re the Claro Family.
My family and I loved the place and amenities. Always clean and very friendly staff. Quiet place and very relaxing. If you want to relax this is the place to go. 100% recommended and we plan to go again
Rented the Deluxe Cabin-- perfect for our needs. Pillows are provided but you need to bring your own linens (or rent them). The full size bed was super comfortable, but the bunk bed mattresses are thin and not that comfortable for adults. There's so much to see and do in this park that you really never need to leave-- shuffleboard, mini-golf, a wonderful pool with plenty of shady spots, lots of picnic tables and play areas. However, the park is also convenient to Miami and the Keys if you need to get away. The bath houses are immaculate and well stocked. We had a few issues/concerns, but they were quickly and sincerely addressed by the general manager. With the exception of a night employee, all staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.
The family and I had a wonderful visit. Location was beautiful. Not too distant from Miami, or the Keys. Check-in was easy and the gal who helped us went out of her way to be sure we were completely satisfied with out designated lot. I wish I had taken the time to learn her name. I just know, or am pretty sure it started with a "J".
Miami Everglades RV Resort was the first overnight experience for this newbie RV family. We were delighted to find the park in pristine condition. Extremely clean and well-maintained. The staff was friendly and welcomed us like family. Every question was answered fully. The resort is located in southwest Miami. Very secluded and safe area. We will be back!
We stayed two nights at the Miami Everglades Resort. This is an older campground that in general is well maintained. Our site was billed as a pull through but the proximity to other sites and a fairly large tree made pulling through impossible for us. In addition the picnic table was on concrete which made getting our steps down and set. The common areas were in good shape and featured a really large green space. The campground itself sits in a mixed neighborhood and agricultural (nurseries primarily) part of Homestead, FL. It’s a fair distance to restaurants but was pretty convenient to the Shark Valley visitor center in the Everglades.
campsite concrete pad was broken, dangerous and people in pool area being very loud and drinking beer and food by pool. need more supervision by pool area for long weekends our site was great other than concrete pad broken and that is dangerous.
If you want to be near Miami or the Keys, this is the place. It's an older park with mature trees. Most sites you just park on the grass and it is not very level. Bathrooms and showers were clean, and the pool area is big and has some shade. Utilities worked well.
Good place to stay near Everglades and Biscayne National Parks. Passport America made it very affordable for us. Pool was enjoyable and pristine, miniature golf was fun. Perimeter 8/10ths of mile walk/bike path made for good exercise.
Never again, tight campsite, hard to pull out, uneven ground, right next to the airport, poor wifi, When we came back up from the Keys a week later we camped in the Thompson Memorial County Park Campground when we came back to the area a week later.
