Everything was wrong. They sold me a king bedroom and got a full. The bed had a huge slump in it. the AC would not stay on. The room was moldy smelling so much so that our sinuses were on fire. The refrigerator was dirty and didn't work. The front doors are thin, so incredibly loud.

Hotel from hell

Checked I. And went to our very dirty room. Mildew and dirt on window sill. Mildew on draperies. Moved to a cleaner room. Tv did not work. Maintenance worked an hour to repair it. Then the iron did not work so had to request that. This hotel is NOT already for guests. They are renovating parts of the hotel but supposedly the room we stayed in was completed. I can not recommend this hotel👎

It's terrible dirty in front of a juvenile prison I hope my comments serve other parents it's not a family hotel bad attention the broken elevator and in general the hotel in very bad condition

Check in was ok. Hotel is under construction, and this was not disclosed when booking. No baseboards in any hall or in our room. Paint chips everywhere in halls. Not toddler friendly for the time being. Kitchen was a mess, under the kitchen sink was gross and smelled of old wet wood. The floor was bubbling in kitchen area. Nightstand in bedroom not secured to wall and nearly fell on our toddler. The bathroom and the beds were nice.

First time staying at this property after staying at Hilton properties for the last few months. My initial impression at check-in was actually pretty terrible, and they suggested I cancel my reservation because of an issue that came up only when I arrived at the front desk at 10:30pm, without any meaningful offer of a solution. I walked out pretty frustrated and upset, but came back after a short time and was greeted completely differently and we overcame the issue and had a much better experience. The rest of the stay was nice and the room was very good, exactly what I needed for the weekend. It's not very fancy but it has everything needed to feel at home, which was important for this stay.

3 Night Stay in January at Candlewood

Overall, I would give it an 8/10. The associates at the front desk at arrival and check out were polite, friendly, engaged, and polite. The room was clean and cozy. A small kitchen yet practical and I could appreciate that. The bathroom was clean, all the plumbing worked correctly, and they had complementary shower soap, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. All the towels were nice and clean. The cons were that the wing of the hotel I was in was being remodeled. Therefore, the smell of fresh paint was annoying to me as the dust from the sheetrock as I entered and in and out of the hotel. The carpet in the room was outdated yet clean. And, the baseboards in the room were exposed, showing cracks and holes. I think it was unfinished. I would recommend this hotel. When I head back to Miami later this year. I will return.
