A beautiful historic hotel but too busy. We could hear people coming and going in the hallway - doors slamming. We wanted to watch the ducks but we got to the lobby an hour before they are brought upstairs and the lobby was packed. The location is great.

I paid for a superior Queen bed room, they gave me a small corner traditional room near the elevators so it was loud, small and ultimately not the room I paid for. I called down to ask if I was in the right room and they said "you booked thru a third party so we can't see your reservation price so that is all we have for you." I was very upset that they weren't respecting what I had reserved. The first night there was loud and so was the morning being next to the elevators, room was clean but the hall way in my room was so small yoi couldn't walk thru if the bathroom door was open. Beds weren't very comfortable. I finally called Orbitz and told them what had happened and they called the hotel for me and the hotel told the Orbitz rep that they gave away my room to a guest who went thru their own website instead of a third party and that they will not refund for the price I paid or give any sort of compensation because I didn't book thru them. Orbitz rep was great and agreed that what the hotel did was very unfair so Orbitz gave me a coupon off my next hotel. But honestly if you book this hotel I don't think it's worth the snooty staff experience you will get and be ready to not get the room you actually PAID for! Not worth it. Better off staying somewhere cheaper and just visiting this hotel for the ducks.

Enjoyed the hotel and the personnel. My first room was not acceptable but upon my request to move to another room I was immediately taken care of. We were in a group of 8 and we all enjoyed Memphis.

This hotel is in the center of downtown. Close to everything or a short trolley ride. Everyone at this hotel is nice and helpful.

Great location near Beale St and the stadiums. Starbucks also close by. The staff is amazing and the ducks are the best! Nice gym and pool. The stores and FedEx business on site was great too. We did Easter brunch which was over the top! Great stay. Only complaint was the bathroom was really tiny but I always take the historic factor into consideration for things like that and it was well worth the trade off.

Great Staff, love the duck parade. Lots of things to do and a wonderful location.

We had to pay $20 to park + $12.50 for a "hotel service fee". The concierge didn't tell us about this hidden fees, but she did tell us about $20 parking (lame... expensive rooms = we should have safe parking included... come on.) We asked for a couple band-aids once and ordered room service (a side of fries) and they came up quickly... that was nice. We tipped well. didn't realize they were tacking on a "hotel service fee" after telling us that the Internet and gym/pool were included (but they later said that's what the fee was for). I'd recommend 1 night here to anyone wanting to see Memphis... after that, get an AirBNB. Way cheaper and no hidden fees. (They refunded the bogus fee after I called and asked about it.) Also... the duck March was pretty chaotic. The ducks were super freaked out by all the kids trying to grab at them and touch them... kind of a bummer to witness. Made me feel weird.

Very poor signage. Address is not where entrance is located. Comfortable bed, small room and tiny bathroom for the over $600 price for two nights. I also didn't fully appreciate the extra bill of $29 fee for services (which we never used). Nice people but not always wise on directions.

This hotel was one of the most beautiful in which I have ever stayed. Our friends from New Zealand were with us as well and were just as in awe as we were. I look forward to staying again in the future.

King bed, bathroom is tight, but it's an old hotel. Corner rooms have an entry way which is great

First off if you book this hotel through a "3rd party" the desk staff will remind you of that repeatedly, first at the check in and then if for any reason you ask for anything special. We had booked this through Orbitz and requested a queen bed. That apparently is not guaranteed since again we booked through a "3rd party" and was told that isn't honored and there were none available.. So for our 20th anniversary we go to act like Lucy and Ricky and sleep in separate beds! And also the room was tiny and bathtub small, for that price no doubt could and should be able to do better downtown. Overall a very "meh" experience in every way.

History of the hotel was nice, staff was great but I couldn't help feel like it wasn't worth what I paid. Skip the club level option it's nothing special. If I would have done that it would have been $90 a night cheaper and I think I would have reviewed the hotel higher.

What a beautiful property to visit at Christmas time - stunning decorations and the biggest Christmas tree I have ever seen - staff are so accommodating, we asked if they had a wheelchair for us to borrow and sure enough - even let us take it out to a restaurant after signing a consent that we would pay for it if we didn't return it - which allowed us to go across the street to the Rendezvous for the most awesome dry rub rips. Lovely lobby to sit and listen to piano player, have a cocktail and relax on the couches - a real treat and worth a splurge - little tight w double beds, wish I had gone for queen beds. Didn't try wifi so don't feel like can give it stars.

Got married on the roof and stay here as much as we can. Phenomenal on all levels. Just sad we got in too late to have a drink in the lobby!!!! From check in to check out all of the staff works hard to make your stay great. We had left a bag, either in the room or at the bell station and had to turn around to try and get it. Pulled in to the circle and they were waiting for us with the bag. Didn't even have to get out of the car. Can't say enough about how comfortable the beds are. When you are traveling all day and get to sleep in those beds, what a treat!!

The Peabody hotel was very nice but due to the crowds we could never see the duck parade, the lighting of the Christmas tree, or Santa. It appears that the public is able to attend these events so paying guests don't have easy access. We were turned away by hotel staff on two occasions one hour before the events and told to go to the balcony to view them. We were very disappointed that we paid such high fees to stay there and didn't have priority seating or viewing of the events.

I love this hotel for its historical significance and architecture. The service staff were excellent and very gracious. However the front desk seemed a bit flummoxed and didn't mention all of the additional amenities available to us when we checked in:(newspapers, coffee, shoes shined). We would have availed ourselves of these value-added services had we known. It would have made the welcome so much more special. It was a small bit significant misstep for such an iconic property that prides itself on the experience.

The Peabody is amazing. If you are in Memphis you must stay there. The staff is the best I've ever seen, the hotel itself is perfect, it's clean, organized, and in the middle of all that Memphis has to offer. I will be visiting again.

Everything was great. Room was clean and the staff attentive

The Peabody has amazing service packed into an old-fashioned, beautifully appointed hotel situated within walking distance of many downtown restaurants and interesting places. The breakfasts were outstanding. I enjoyed my brief stay.

Completely delightful one-night stay. We were celebrating a birthday and the hotel was very accommodating. Friendly staff. We will stay again when we are in Memphis!

Dear Faith, It appears there may have been a misunderstanding with your booking. I understand that you reserved a Superior room with a Queen bed, but we only offer a Superior Double and a Superior King which may be how you ended up in a Traditional Queen. I do apologize for the confusion and the way the situation was handled. I hope you will give us another chance to give you the true Peabody experience. Thanks again, Scott Boucher Director of Hotel Operations
