This is a great place to stay as it is so central to lots of destinations and is in a very quiet area considering you are in the middle of the city. The accommodation is great with very comfortable, clean, spacious apartments and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We stay here a lot and the staff are settled and most have been there for years which indicates to me that it has a good environment for both staff and guests alike. Cheers..
I came here with no expectation. I would have thought that I gotten myself a room but ended up getting myself an apartment unit with its own kitchenette, dining room, living room, separate room and its abundant bathroom. WiFi is strong here. The kitchenette is very well equipped. There's a balcony that I can't use (might have to do with regulation of preventing hotel guests to jump off). There are two LCD panels here - living room and bathroom. Service is prompt. There's a swimming pool on the fifth floor and there's also a restaurant with room service as well. It's rather pricey, and you would be better off going to the food court next door and that, there is an abundant of choice along this area anyhow. Federation Square, NGV, Flinders Street Station, Etihad Stadium etc are all a stone throw away. For someone like myself who uses public transport and walking, this is a perfect base for me during my brief stay at Melbourne CBD. However, if you were to drive, then, you would need to find out if parking is expensive here or not. For what I pay for here, I can't fault this. Commendable stay indeed.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom suite during our recent family trip to Australia. The hotel is ideally located near the bridge across the Yarra river and close to CBD with dining, shopping, sight seeing. Our suite was great - it had plenty of room for my 2 daughters 15 and 12 and gave us all plenty of room and privacy too. Our views from the 12th floor were fantastic. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet with plenty of hot and cold food choices each day. We had to leave very early one day and they open at 6:30. They were ready to go and we had our long black coffees, special drinks for our girls and pastries and fruit by our pick up time of 6:45. Although we didn't use the kitchen - it was well stocked and the family room area had plenty of seating. We had a washer/dryer combination in our suite but didn't use it as this was the beginning of our trip.
Got a fabulous deal on Agoda for a 3 bd rm apartment , meaning our daughters & their husbands could come & help celebrate our 39 th wedding anniversary . couple of days later Agoda contacted us to say it was a mistake , my husband rang the hotel direct & the manager on duty Jackie Porter said they would still honor the deal she was very professional & helpful , on checkin the lady on duty was also very friendly & helpful , on entering our room ,which was amazing there was a bottle of bubbly thankyou so much on making our day 7 april special .... lovely appartment, great pool, & tasty breakfast , we will be coming back .....
Based on Trip Advisor reviews, we stayed at Quay West Suites over Easter and weren't disappointed. Check in with Stephen was very simple. We had booked a one bedroom deluxe suite but upon request, Stephen very kindly found us a room with a view on the 11th floor (I didn't think we'd get it but there's no harm in asking and Stephen was so accommodating). The room was great, very clean, the sofa bed was good quality for our 10 year old son, lots of storage and a good sized bedroom and bathroom. I really liked having the balcony and windows that opened! Being able to have fresh air and not have the air conditioner on all the time was a lovely change to your usual hotel. You could hear the noise from the restaurants below at nighttime (even with the windows shut) but it wasn't a major problem for us. If there was one negative, I would say some of the towels had seen better days but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker. We had breakfast included and we thought the choices were good. A range of hot and cold options (bacon, scrambled eggs, muesli, croissants, toast, fruit, yoghurt, etc). What we didn't realise until day three was you could actually request eggs to be cooked differently (poached, fried, etc) if you wanted so be sure to ask if you want them. All of the staff were very polite and helpful. Stephen again starred on our final night when he gave us a later check out (again, no harm in asking). Thanks so much Stephen, we really appreciate all you did for us :) If you're coming from the airport, we took the Southbank Skybus on the way back and the stop is less than five minutes walk. It took about half an hour to go to the other four stops and then another half an hour to get to the airport. It was midday on a Tuesday so traffic was light. It drops you at Terminal 4 which is close to Virgin (2min walk), would probably take another 5mins to get to Qantas.
Great location next to river, walking distance to CBD, gardens, trains, etc. Very comfortable 1 br suite with kitchen & washer/dryer. Fast Wi-Fi compared to other hotels. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely stay here again!
The appeal of this hotel is its location with the added benefits of great rooms and services. An ideal location with benefits if you want to explore the city or for that night on the town or at the theatre.
Stayed at Quay West Suites over Easter and loved it. Friendly efficient check-in (thanks James and Rohan) and cheerful, helpful reception staff throughout the stay. The apartment was comfortable and beautifully appointed with a recent upgrade of facilities. Had a glorious view over the Yarra to the city with a fun vibe from Southbank below. Walking distance to so many cafes and restaurants, National Gallery of Victoria and Sidney Myer Music Bowl to attend a concert. Flinders St Station directly across the river with great access. Loved it and would highly recommend. Along with the weather, it made our first Easter in Melbourne so memorable.
We were visiting from the states for the week and had a nice visit The likes: Location was close to everything - riverside, restaurants, sights Front desk was excellent service Amenities - breakfast, exercise room and pool area Concierge Daryl was great getting us a rental car to tour The Great Ocean Road for the day Laundry and Kitchen The dislikes: Prices were sky high for the Grand Prix and Easter timing - $900-$1000 USD per night for 3-bedroom Hot tub was not hot WiFi was terrible and they couldn’t fix it
We had already stayed at the quay west in Sydney and that was brilliant so was looking forward to visiting here and we weren't disappointed,we paid for a river view and it was worth it,we had a nice balcony we could sit on,room was nice though not as good as the one in Sydney, the south bank is the place to stay, though can be a bit noisy at night this didn't bother us as the hotel is at the top end of south bank so wasn't as noisy as perhaps one in the middle. Nice room, lovely staff and would highly recommend.
