The hotel is being remodeled, & we had to change rooms 2 times due to construction noise early in the mornings. Also there is a night club in the hotel and the customers of the club take all the parking for hotel guests on weekends.
I booked this hotel for an employee because I was in a hurry and it showed 4 stars and the pictures were nice. That is a deception. Did not get to investigate and see that the reviews were the same as she found it. She had to leave and get another hotel because of the roaches and uncleanliness of the room and sheets. Would not tell anyone to stay at this location.
This hotel is horrible. The staff is useless and not friendly. They do nothing to accomodate you when they have created in error, they shrug their shoulders. We reserved a room with a KING bed, and they gave it away so we were stuck with 2 full size beds.. it was noisy, they have a bar/dance hall, the music was blasting, their were drunks everywhere, vomit in the parking lot. The view is the back of a fast food restaurant, windows that looked they were spray painted to block the view. The bathroom had mildew and mold on the ceiling. Don't waste your money.
Good place easy to get to and grate price .kids n wife loved the continental breakfast....
THE ONLY THING I RECOMMEND YOU NEED TO BRING TO THIS HOTEL IS A COMFORTER... THE A/C UNIT WORKS TOO GOOD BUT THE AUTO - SHUTOFF SWITCH NEVER KICKED IN... RUDE AWAKENING AT 3 IN D MORNING, 55 DEGREES... MAMA I LOVE YA, P.O.P HOLD IT DOWN...
Was very nice better Ryan i expected. Very friendly staff
El cuarto esta muy decente asi como la cama, baño, etc, muy recomendable para el precio
room not very clean, and sheets and walls appeared to be dirty, will not return to this property ever again.
Great location!! Clean, quiet near to mall , coffe table all day on reseception and free wireless
great location with easy access to restaurants and shopping
The hotel's location is excellent, right on the corner of McAllen busiest streets. It's nearby the mall and "Las Tiendas" so if you plan on going shopping and just need a place to crash this would be it. ZERO (and I mean zero) luxury, just a clean bed and a bathroom!
This is one of those places where you get exactly what you pay for.
The room smelled, had not curtains and was extremely hot. Lost my money and went next door to stay. Never, Never again.
Room was ok for the price. Clean, simple. Perfect for one night stay. For some reason the cleaning staff took out the towels before we checked out while we were at breakfast and failed to leave any afterwards. Was very strange....otherwise the front desk staff was great and the room was clean.
Efficient office staff, clean updated room (although no ice or frig--the staff in the breakfast room accomodated us though), Clean, gated outdoor pool with sea-side mural, basic continental breakfast included, close parking. There was no noise, but it looks like only parts of the hotel are used for guests.
This hotel is perfectly located. Wether shopping or doing business in McAllen, you are close to everything. I expected a better facilities condition, usually offered by this brand. Overall, the hotel looks a little old. Some people at front desk need some training.
Making a lot of noise at night due to a party or event in the hotel.
upon arrival, i was notified i had to wait because the website i used to book my travel had not sent my order information to the hotel to solidify my reservation. after waiting 20 minutes with my partner, i was given a room that smelled stale and moldy, had scratched paint on the inside of the front door, stained carpets and lord only knows what else (didnt bother looking around - went back to the front desk at that point). after asking to check out, the front desk clerk asked if we'd like to see the renovated rooms upstairs. we agreed to stay not because we were satisfied with the space but because we were exhausted and were just happy we didn't have to go through the trouble to find another hotel in the middle of the night. by no means, however, was this hotel suitable. being told we had to ask if we wanted another towel (after room service only left us one), not having an iron and having to shove the bathroom door past the toilet because it was so small and got stuck is not my idea of a reasonable accommodation. i'm not even going to bother mentioning the rest of it - hopefully you all get the gist of it. never again!
[...].air conditioned poor in both rooms, no AC in aislesno fridge, no microwave, no parking; there is a "disco" in the premises, so you have to fight for a place, when complaining at the desk they just say "sorry for any inonvenience", but you´re on your own, you have to take care of your car,we are not responsible if it´s towed awayexecutive breakfast the poorest in my lifeworst hotel in 32 years and 11 countries.
I was in town for business. The room was very clean, the A/C worked, and the front desk was courteous. However, the description said the hotel had Tempurpedic mattresses which it most definitely did not. The description also said the hotel had a restaurant on-site; again wrong. There are facilities for a restaurant but not currently operating. However, there are numerous restaurants of all ethic types very near to this location. There is wi-fi but it did not work my first two nights and finally did on the 3rd. I was told it worked in the lobby, but there was no way I was going to hold a video conference in the lobby of the hotel. If all you are going to do is sleep, the hotel is fine; if you are looking to be entertained at the hotel or looking for special amenities, this is not the hotel for you.
