not worth the price vs other hotels in the area

The hotel was ok but was under construction. I booked for two nights but left on the second day because a tropical storm was hitting the area. They would not comp me for the night. The shower I couldn't make work because I wasn't pulling hard enough on some weird extra knob. I guess I was afraid of pulling it out of the wall. The maintenance man came in and almost had to use pliers to make it work. My biggest #1 complaint? For as expensive as the hotel was, there was no free coffee. I could have stayed in 100 places around there that was less expensive and gotten free coffee and breakfast. So next time i'm in the RGV, I will definitely stay somewhere else.
