Stayed here three nights. Sizeable room with balcony, kitchen and dining area attached complete with fridge, microwave and all the usual utensils/crockery. It's a two-minute walk from Perier Metro station and each morning there's a vibrant street market just around the corner that closes at 1.00pm. If you're looking for a reasonably-priced base this should suit the bill. Last time I stayed here (out of season, admittedly) I had a much larger apartment for the same price, but no grumbles. Highly recommended for anyone traveling on a budget.
Good apartments, well positioned in the centre of city with big store at a stone's throw. Breakfast is not free, but tasty. The kitchen is equipped with all the minimum necessary, including a coffee maker, the use of which I have not mastered. Cleaning is done from time to time, but taking out the garbage is the guest duties, and changing towels is paid.
Found getting about from here not bad at all with most of the attractions about a half hour walk away in any direction. As I was there for the football it was also walking distance from the stadium. It is very basic but clean and I would recommend it. The kitchen is handy if you are looking to keep costs down and prepare your own meals or store a few cold waters and beers. Minor gripes: the place could do with some re-decorating and modernisation. The toaster fused the sockets and I had to reset the trip switch in the fuse box. There was also an issue with the boiler which was being fixed when I was there so I had a couple of cold showers.
The room is big with kitchen, utensils and tools for people who need to stay longer and can/will cook. Bed is clean - 2 single beds merged as one big bed was good for us. It is in not in the center so there is about 40 minute walk to the Old Port. Breakfast is included with standard French options of bread, crepe, cheeses, bacon & egg coffee etc. Few things notable: the cleaner did not notice cig butts in the balcony. There are no toiletries, toothbrush, toothpaste and no hair dryer so you might consider bringing one. Receptionist is nice and welcomed with complete instructions. It is not a poshy place but good enough to sleep at after a long day’s walk.
Very comfortable. Well situated Superb price Very clean room Our second visit. Not our last. Love the fact that there is a useful kitchen Impressed that every room has a balcony Very quiet place Close to the metro and buses so that travel was good
Hotel location near Castellane market & Perier metro station. Easy to access downtown & port. Great price for a room where one can cook & store delicious cheeses to bring home. Bathroom has great water pressure & a bath!
We stayed in room 518 for 3 nights. It's a good sized room with a kitchenette and good sized bathroom with a good water pressure. The hotel is extremely basic and really dated, with very visible tear and wear. The hobs switches in the kitchenette lost the labels indicating heat levels and took ages to heat up. The air con was not working at all even if set to 5 degrees and the room felt like a greenhouse with over 20 degrees outside. The bulb in the kitchenette was melted and the extractor fan wasn't working. There were ants in the kitchen as well. On the other side, the breakfast was good with great selection.
The room was very spacious with good amenities provided for a short term self catering stay. The bed was very very comfortable and the views from the balcony excellent.Early Sunday morning we were woken by the bells resounding from the Basilique Du Sacre Coeur....wonderful sounds! The breakfast was extremely good and well worth the extra on the bill. A whole spectrum of food and drinks.Loved the underground parking(although a public car park the hotel has a heavily discounted arrangement for its guests). A ton of local shops in the immediate vicinity for food etc and despite the area being a very busy industrious area of the city in the main it was great to see the true heart of this metropolis! Very fast free WIFI! Staff were always polite and friendly. We had a major problem with our door card which the hotel took 24 hours to fix.In my opinion that is not acceptable. The Hotel should have resolved that issue immediately. It spoilt an otherwise excellent review. There were some other minor aspects of the room which needed attention but these were fixed within a few hours.
Friendly, helpful staff. Clean good sized room. Good to have balcony. Place could do with a freshening up such as lick of paint and make the balcony more appealing but otherwise a satisfactory place to stay.
We were there from 1st-3rd September. We took a room with a balcony which added to the quality of our stay as given the heat we sat out on it til quite late. We were top floor at at night it was very quiet. Bearing in mind we were only paying £50 a night I wasn't too surprised at the quality of room. It was clean and it had a good big and comfortable bed and the linen was clean. We had a little kitchen area which we used a wee bit - again clean and effective. There is no doubt that the overall fixtures and fittings could do with a fresh lick of paint and replacement, but it didn't spoil our stay. We liked the location as it was very handy for the excellent street markets on the Avenue du Prado (which sells everything including matresses!) and were cool to browse through. Staff friendly and helpful as they could be. Still a location were being able to talk French a distinct advantage - mine was derived form the schools days but was surprised how much came back. All in a all a 'fine' stay and if on a budget I would go back, but would be nice to see them spend some money on it.
