Room booked was the Family room (had filtered for 2 adults and 2 children), Husband went back to reception to ask if this was the correct room, they said yes. We were given was a tiny double room, a Cot was added to the already small room which left no space to walk, so we had to move it. All 4 of us had to sleep in a small double bed, Construction work began at 8am, waking and upsetting both baby and child, we rang the front desk to complain and ask for this loud drilling noise to stop. 10 mins later it had still not stopped so we rang again, the drilling noise was SO loud, directly in the room next to us. We had ZERO communication regarding this, not even a heads up to let us know there was work going on. Awful experience! Thankfully we were Checking Out that morning, so we just started to get ready to leave as the kids were so upset they wouldn't sleep. We had booked this hotel for my Babys 1st Birthday trip to Manchester, such a let down. No lift access - which was fine for us as we requested an accessible room. The car park is free. Only positive of this Hotel is - room was clean.

We stayed here last year and had such a good stay we returned. This time it was completely different! Breakfast food had sat under lights for hours so most of it was congealed and the bacon was so dried up it was inedible as were the eggs. The barman who served us wine was really cocky and unpleasant. The Pinot Grigio was really cheap and nasty. We heard other guests complaining about the rose as well. The room was really tiny so there was a small hanging space but nowhere to put any other clothes. Spent the weekend having to leave everything in the suitcase and hide that under the desk so you didn’t trip over it walking to the bathroom. However, the overnight cleaning was very well done, the staff at reception were pleasant and the views of the pool from the bar area are very nice, as are the views of the river from the dining area.

Staff were really helpful and friendly. Room was clean but showing some signs of wear and tear. Breakfast was really great quality, though the coffee machine was a bit weak (coffee bar on site, not included, was very good and excellent value) Gym and pool facilities were really good, but a bit of a maze to navigate. Overall excellent, will definitely come back.

Room very very small despite booking what is described as a king room - it was very small with a double bed. Very noisy with road noise and other rooms. Hugrly dissaponting that we were unable to use the swimming pool due to aqua aeorbics all morning! Booked this hotel especially to use the facilties to enjoy with my daughter which we could not utilise. Food was limted and breakfast very basic.
