Unreal, Disgusting Experience
There was absolutely no communication between the hosts and myself - I had emailed and messaged them about the details of the itinerary and how to go about entering the property upon arrival. No messages were sent back to me.
Reason for visit was because of a family wedding. On the day of arrival, I tried to ring and email, and the phone number provided was not working, and they still hadn't contacted me about the arrival. I had to ask all neighbouring properties if they had any idea what/who to contact, the Post office next door told us that a key was usually left under a pot by the back door. This took us 2 hours to get into the property - by then the wedding reception had finished and it was a completely wasted journey.
Upon entering the property, it seemed derelict and unsafe as the pictures show. The garden was overgrown and the entrance to the property was covered in soggy letters which was very unwelcoming and unsafe. There was a pile of rubbish which has been there for what seems months/years. A fridge had been left out to rot. A dog wouldn't live there. The inside was OK - cables were left out everywhere and some walls were dirty. Heating worked and the carpet was very good.
Overall, I am utterly disgusted with the treatment of my family and me, by the "hosts". They were non-existent and they took my money - do NOT make the mistake I did, absolutely avoid this property at all costs.
