Stayed for 3 nights in a club room (810) no problem with noise from adjacent rooms but someone tried to enter the wrong room and woke us up at 2am. The room was nicely decorated and full of the usual amenities. It was nice to have free sparkling water and a night spray kit to help you sleep that Crowne a Plaza gives to all guests. The bed was very soft and comfortable. The club lounge was very nice to have a break for a while after extreme shopping all day. The reception was efficient and friendly. Breakfast was excellent although on the expensive side. Staff were sometimes overstretchedt times but did it with a smile. Great point for shopping with Arndale just 5 minutes away. Would definitely return!

We stayed in the deluxe club room which was absolutely gorgeous, spotless clean and the bed was so comfortable! The food in the hotels restaurant was beautiful - The service in the restaurant and throughout the hotel was top class. Will deffinatley book to stay here again next time we return to Manchester.

It's the perfect spot to stay couple of streets away from Picadilly . Right on Northern quarter doorstep great bars and restaurants surround. Men arena 3 minute walk. Tram to old Trafford. ..etc 2 mins walk. Pricey but nice rooms and bar/restaurant

Needed a good functional hotel for an overnight stay following a looong business lunch and the Crowne Plaza fitted the bill especially due to its location in the Northern Quarter. Check in was extremely friendly and courteous -I always book a Club Lounge room but had the bonus of an upgrade to a Junior Suite due to being a Platinum Elite IGH Member -thanks! The room was spacious and clean but I did notice the lack of a telephone by the bed, very strange -eventually found one on the desk in the living area..... If I were to be critical it would be regarding the sparse offerings in the evening in the Club Lounge otherwise a pleasant stay in a modern good quality city centre hotel.

I stayed here on a Friday night. Firstly the positives, I got a very good rate. It is centrally situated in Manchester. Handy for the Arena and Victoria train station and shopping. Reception staff were very friendly and efficient. I was sent a pre requisite form to fill in, none of this was taken into account. Pillows were standard and I got a room near the lift, even though I specifically asked for one away from the lift. The room itself was ok, modern. Quite a small queen bed by today's standard. But carpet was dirty, room was small and lots of dirty marks on the walls. But the bathroom was the most disappointing. The smallest shower known to man! There was also a bath but it was also tiny. No storage space to put your toiletries. No bath and a bigger shower would have been better and the grout in the shower was dirty. Luckily I was only in the room to sleep. Parking instructions on the website were also not very clear and parking was expensive at the recommended NCP car park, even with their discount. When I'm next in Manchester, I will certainly pick somewhere else to stay. It wasn't terrible, just very average and below the standard of other Crowne Plazas which I have used.

I often stay at this hotel while working in Manchester. The location is good, next to the Arndale shopping centre and a tram and bus station. Having stayed in most types of rooms, some are certainly better than others. When staying in a room at the rear of the hotel, you can often hear noise from the adjacent holiday inn receiving deliveries. I noticed it was quite often the sheets/towel deliveries which were noisy at 7.45am. The consistency of the rooms is also slightly hit and miss - sometimes 1 bottle of water, sometimes 2. Sometimes biscuits, sometimes not. Sometimes there are pens and sleep spray, sometimes there aren't. Overall not the end of the world but would be good to have consistency. The staff are (generally) great. Anna Maria, Eleni and Angelika are always efficient, friendly and helpful. There are a couple of male staff members (in particular a young Eastern European chap who I have came across in the club lounge some evenings) who are not really all that friendly. One slight annoyance is at breakfast - even when the restaurant is very quiet, everyone is often sat at tables immediately next to each other instead of making use of available space Overall, the rooms are finished to a high standard. One idea for improvement is to expand on the freeview TV channels available, as there is a very limited selection just now.

The hotel is excellent in terms of quality and cleaning. It’s very closed to Arndale shopping center and city center but the staff support is not that much. The room service support is very slow in responses and had to keep follow up the request more than 2 times and after 2 hours luckily to get it. It’s not expected from Crown Plaza hotels like this but it happened during my stay.

The first time in The Crowne Plaza and overall I would have to rate this stay as quite high, but there area couple of things to consider if you have chosen to stay in the executive rooms. The complimentary drinks package which is offered between 6-8pm is available only in an allocated drinking room which is a little like an office! The staff were a little 'hit and miss', some were incredibly friendly and helpful but others were most certainly not! The canapés did offer a small vegetarian choice but only one tray and when I asked for it to be replaced I was told there was no more available! The continental breakfast is acceptable but certainly not luxurious. I could not fault the accommodation as the room had the most amazing view, was one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in and was incredibly luxurious.

I'd say this must be my 5th visit to this hotel this year alone, we're not people getting it paid for by the company, getting expenses or any such thing, we're paying guests who choose to spend our money here. The fact that this has become our hotel of choice should say everything really. Quick visit to catch up with son #1 so another opportunity to stay at The Crowne Plaza Once again very happy with our stay. Wish I'd taken notice of the name of the guy who come to our room to sort our lounge key out, but regardless he was lovely and a credit to the hotel. He was on the desk when we arrived (Thurs 27th July) and we commented on him then also. Mr Fairweather, keep doing what your doing, hotel and staff are a credit to you. We've recently celebrated our wedding and will no doubt be planning a few days in Manchester to 'wind down' after the madness of a wedding abroad, we fully expect to be back. Well done all !!

Stayed here to see a gig at the Arena. Hotel was very clean and room was spacious and modern. It's set back slightly so we had no noise issues and slept like a dream. Breakfast was great too! Overall would definitely use this hotel again if I need to go to Manchester.
