Stayed here with my wife and 2 kids during our Christmas holiday on two double bed. It’s a very typical hotel without much facilities. The location was great. Just a few mins walk to the centre and Arndale shopping mall. Plenty of restaurant and cafe nearly. Not sure about the quality of the breakfast but for the price, I would think I would get better quality from nearby cafe and cheaper. Hotel have no own parking. The nearest is NCP Printwork which is 2-3 mins walk. Not so ideal if you have children’s and large suitcase. The hotel offer a discounted rate. Rather than the usual £20 per day, you can validate the ticket at the hotel for £17. The other thing I notice is the bed is lower towards the side near the middle table. I believe thins is because people tend to sleep near there for easy access to the table lamp. One words of recommendation is to turn the mattresses around if that hasn’t already in practice.

Stayed here in December for 1 night in room 909. Room was average in size (queen superior) with a good view over the city. The only thing I would really say is the carpet wasn’t completely clean. But the bed, bathroom and the rest of the room was spotless. The hotel is close to be Arndale, exchange square, print works and nice bars and restaurants. It’s also close to the tram stop Shudehill. Overall it was a quick stay but a pleasant one.

My partner and I did not want to drink New Year's Eve therefore we booked a meal locally and stayed over at the crowne plaza. Beautiful room, very clean and a lovely bathroom. We had an amazing view of the fireworks at midnight from our room. It was raining that evening so I am so glad we made the choice to have a night in! Amazing nights sleep, the bed was very comfortable! Only criticism is the breakfast, it was not the best quality in comparison to the amazing hotel. Thank you for a lovely, quiet evening.

I usually stick with the IHG chain of hotels in Manchester as they have a good selection in most parts of the city. If you book well enough in advance, you can usually get a good deal. This hotel is on par with the Holiday Inn express on Aytoun street in my eyes, and I only pick between the two depending on price at that time. Both do an excellent breakfast and the rooms are comfy and quiet.

Stayed for five nights over the new year, we had a room with two double beds very comfortable beds, excellent house keeping and friendly staff, One small problem could have done with a bit more light, Breakfast was good certainly wouldn’t stay again

We visited recently with my son to watch the United vs. City derby. Spent 1 night after the match. Highly disappointed with this Crowne Plaza experience. Staff very unfriendly except for one porter. A cold experience. Made us feel very unwelcome. Rooms are very comfortable and typical of Crowne Plaza’s. Would I stay there again? No.

After saving up for a get away we choose to splurge a little and treat ourselves to a 4 star luxury hotel. We spent 4 nights here with the kids. Inc new years. After having worked in hospitality for over 10 years inc intercontinental and sofitel we expected better. Each day we went out early and arrived back late afternoon draging the kids along (3,7) to arrive at our room on the 5th floor and have the key not working, and i repeat this happend everyday.. We also asked about keeping milk in the minibar fridge for our daughter, this was fine but we were told to leave a key card in the slot for electricity, which we did.. only to have house keeping remove it. After the first time we left a note the next day. Arriving back the note was gone and the key card was taken out of the slot again! We decided to try breakfast in the hotel to our regret. A very basic buffet with inattentive staff that were to busy chatting in there forein language. Coffee was horible so we asked to have tea instead which was fine but they didnt bother to take the cups of coffee and replace them with new ones. Also why put large jars of peanut butter on the buffet with no spoon or knife to take some with? One more thing that wasnt plesant is that the toilet didnt flush properly you really had to hold down the flush very hard and long for it to work. Apon checkout we mentioned the inconvenience of the keycard with the kids, to which they only offerd to add some ihg club points.. which is of no use to us as we can rarley afford to stay in such hotels. We feel letdown after spending so much money on what is supposed to be a great hotel. Will think twice next time.

Stayed here for 3 nights over the new year and overall really enjoyed my stay , we stayed in one of the club rooms with lounge access , the room was clean and tidy with a comfortable bed and very quiet so slept well ,, in the lounge room drinks were served between 6 and 8 with humberto never letting us waiting for a drink , the only down fall is if you come in at 7 there is a good chance that all the nibbles have gone as we experienced on new years eve but overall I have no complaints and would stay here again

Perfectly pleasant (if somewhat lacking in soul as most modern utilitarian hotels are) hotel with good staff, clean rooms and good breakfast. I was surprised at the price of the two rooms that we had - more expensive than I would have hoped for. Our room was poorly lit - even with all the bedside lights, desk lights, lobby light and bathroom lights on it really felt dim and lacking in ceiling lighting. Our wash basin drained really slowly.

I was on the 7th floor with quite a nice view, the whole hotel is very clean and modernised, they had lovely staff and I would definitely stay again. If you’re looking for a hotel in Manchester for a few nights I would recommend here
