Excellent location and hotel for city centre business travel. Stayed at thois hotel over a number of weeks in February/March and April. Very welcoming staff, great rooms and breakfast. Good Executive lounge
Perfect for anyone looking to go shopping in Manchester, going to the arena or both. NCP over the road is easy to use and also subsidised by the hotel. Printworks is also a staggering distance from the hotel, however the hotel does have good cocktail menu to finish off the night.
We had a lovely 3 nights here at the Crown Plaza. The staff were always happy and very helpful. Room was good but we know next time to go back for a club room as this offers more space. We ate one night in the bar and found the food to be good. Concierge was a great help with local info and also organising Taxis. Location is great for being central .
To start with I'd like to say the bar/ restaurant staff was amazing! Couldn't do enough, a real credit to the team ! The check in staff was shocking, we stayed with a business trip and we was told could conflicting information all the time about our allowances. No one seemed to know what they was talking about and caused alot of stress, when we questioned the allowances as we was told different information alot , we got greeted by a poor attitude from the check in staff and there was a few of them that had very poor comunticaion skills. Not what I expected
This is a chic, elegant hotel. Rooms are thoughtfully decorated in modern style. Ask for a city view from the 8th floor, it's lovely. Tea service is nice, and free internet is very good at all areas of the hotel. Bathrooms are ample size and feature a shower and separate luxurious tub. Beds are soft and comfortable.
There's a couple of reasons we like this hotel but mainly because it's walking distance to Manchester Arena. Also you can park nearly opposite for £13 for an over night stay, its subsidised by the hotel. Staff are friendly, especially the lovely little waitress that served us our evening meal, she's a treasure so look after her. Our room had two double beds in, all modern , nice bedding, pillows, comfy bed. Modern bathroom, lovely toiletries. I had two wonderful Cocktails in the bar, thought the bar staff could have been a little more friendly. We had a meal in the restaurant, 3 courses and a glass of wine for £23.95. All very nice. stuffing a bit dry in the Chicken but that's all. Breakfast in our room next morning , could have been a bit hotter but all very nice.
Very warm welcome at reception and very helpful. Hotel room was lovely, very clean and tidy, the bed was extremely comfortable and breakfast was amazing! The view was okay. Bathroom was very nice too. Would definitely come again.
It's been a while since we stayed here. We decided to spend a few days in Manchester for a bit of a break from the norm. We had a room with access to the Executive Lounge on a bed and breakfast basis. On arrival we were allocated a room on the first floor which was ok but not great. However, on the day we arrived Man. United were playing at home so the hotel was full. The following day we were effortlessly allocated a room in the 5th floor which was much better appointed. We only used the Executive Lounge on the day of our arrival for drinks and some nibbles. It was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Overall the hotel was clean and the staff were friendly. In our first room we observed that the net curtains could do with a good wash though! Crowne Plaza is in a great location for the shops and that is our primary reason for staying at this hotel on a repeat basis.
We stayed here for 2 nights in a twin room as a family of 4. The room was clean and well appointed. Breakfast choice was good, although if you choose something other than what is put out at the buffet then you will be charged for it. The location is ideal for the city centre just behind Arndale Shopping Centre, however it is a bit seedy in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. We were never too late in getting back to the hotel at night, but not sure how comfortable I would have been after midnight.
Large and modern rooms which were clean and had everything we needed for a one nights stay. Bed was huge and very comfy! Breakfast was included in our room rate and was lovely, lots to choose from including full English and continental as well as cereals and fruit. Staff very friendly and always happy to help, nothing is too much trouble for them! We found it was in a great location about 5 mins walk to Victoria train station and Printworks/Arndale. Overall VERY happy with our stay here will definitely be recommending and will stay again!!
