Visited for a Saturday lunch with friends to be treated to a relaxing 3course lunch in a top class hotel. The service is really good, and on the way in we walked past the group of Manchester United fans who were here to watch to team and Mourinho go off to that afternoons match. We enjoyed a relaxing Bloody Mary cocktail in the bar prior to our lunch. It was delicious! The set course lunch is actually really good value and to enjoy the atmosphere, service and quality of a 5 star hotel, the relaxing ambiance, and the bright and cheerful restaurant staff. There was a real mixture of customers, with lots of ladies enjoying afternoon than, but many family groups too. We had such a nice natter, enjoyed really good food and would definitely recommend this a good place to feel you are getting a treat.
Family trip to SPA with Lunch organised by our daughters for their Mums birthday. The SPA was excellent and treatments were first class by friendly and professional staff. Lunch was good, but let down by very slow service. I think it took over two hours for lunch which it certainly did not warrant. I know it was a Sunday, but just a couple more staff working would have helped.
The location is ideal if you want to visit Manchester town center, The staff where excellent and the service first rate all very helpful. The rooms very modern but with a very poor selection of toiletries for this type of hotel and only one pair of slippers in a room booked for two, The breakfast was very good quality of food although I do prefare to have my cooked part served at the table not a buffet in a 5 star hotel.
visited today, a christmas present - virgin experience. absolutely lovely, superb service. sorry didnt know the name of the head waiter that attended to us (has his hair tied back) so friendly, what a lovely person, credit to the hotel. the sandwiches were delicious, the cakes delightful and the scones with cream and jam were lovely. we were full, had to leave two of the cakes. wonderful selection of teas and iced water to wash it down with. lovely afternoon, definitely call again.
We opted to stay here as it was a special weekend trip to Manchester for my wife and young son. From the minute we parked outside and the valet looked after us and the car, until we left the next day, again the valet had the car waiting outside, the whole visit was special. We booked a dinner room and breakfast deal, direct with the hotel - again the booking experience was great and in fact cheaper than anything online. The duty manager and staff on reception already knew my son's name and he was treated to a free mocktail. We also had the wonderful pleasure of being upgraded to a suite, a real treat as the collective rooms are massive and rather special with great decor and floor to ceiling windows with great views. Dinner was excellent and everyone was so nice and helpful. I will certainly stay here again as we were made to feel so special. I really felt we were being looked after.
Visited here for dinner at the River restaurant. Enjoyed cocktails first in the bar which were lovely. Then enjoyed a 3 course meal which included a glass of champagne. The food was lovely and the service great. Well worth the money and would definitely go again.
My son and his girlfriend stayed here for her 21st birthday,The hotel went out of their way to make their stay a memorable occasion. From their arrival at reception, they were made to feel welcome, check in was quick and their room was perfect. The hotel laid on lovely surprises for them, breakfast was great and valet parking was fast.Excellent staff and an excellent hotel.
I booked a while back, taking advantage of an early evening special menu in the Riverside Restaurant. From the moment my wife and I arrived, we were incredibly well looked after by all the serving team. We enjoyed a cocktail (Three Rivers Gin, why not, we were next to one of Manchester’s famous waterways) and a beer or two and then into the glamorous restaurant itself. Again the service was excellent, very attentive, but not overly. The food and a selected classy bin end wine too, was very good. It might well have been a cut price offer, but it was not a cut price menu. The choice was good and the flavours were excellent. Followed by a great dessert too. We returned to the bar to conclude our evening, to be served again by Zack who throughout the evening had been the most pleasant and professional of young waiters, he is a great asset to the hotel. A refreshing change to the couldn’t care less service we are all becoming accustomed to, regardless of the standard of hotel or restaurant. Will definitely go back and would definitely recommend any of my customers to stay at the hotel, which is beautiful and to dine Riverside.
Extremely impressed by The Lowry Hotel. Stayed for one night as a Manchester base. Short walk to the centre for shops and bars etc. The Lowry staff were super professional. Zach in the bar was very attentive and friendly and gave us a very special service even though we were just ordering bar food (the restaurant was booked up but I wouldn't have changed our table if we could have!). Reception staff also very professional. Our room on the 3rd floor was a large space with a big comfortable bed - leading to a great nights sleep. Would 100% come back for a city stay.
We visit on a wet cold February day,it was a Christmas tea for my mum and dad ,but at Christmas dad was ill so we had to change the dates, the staff were very helpful and let us re book, on arrival we were met at reception and taken by the lifts to the restaurant the food and drinks were great, the waiter was so friendly and gave us great service,he even took some pictures for us,Mum and dad loved their treat
