Rooms are spacious and have all the ameneties you need service is excellent and nothing is too much food delicous location a lovely 10 minute walk into Worsley with some hip bars and restaurants would recommend

I've stayed at the Worsley Park Marriott for both work and pleasure and it's a real favourite of mine. If you are looking for a Manchester hotel, I'd say take a good look at the map because this isn't at all central - it's really quite a trek out from the city and will take you a minimum of 20 minutes (with no traffic) to get into the centre of the city. The location is quiet despite proximity to the motorway and the grounds are beautiful with a full golf course for those who want such things, a really well equipped gym and pool for those who don't golf, and a well equipped bar and restaurant for those who'd rather forget the gym and tuck in. The hotel is sometimes used by visiting teams playing at Old Trafford - so you may find lots of fit young men in track suits in the breakfast room

After a busy Christmas the opportunity to take a few days break was very welcome and the venue we chose, provided both an excellent base to visit Manchester, and to relax enjoying time in the pool, sauna, steam room. The bar provided excellent refreshments and atmosphere. Would recommend this venue to anyone looking for a break.

Booked superior king room 2 months in advance. Reception staff very good on arrival.. When we got to room we found that it was a twin rather than a king. When we rang down to complain, we were told that we had been given the only twin room as they had given all the king superiors to single people who arrived before us! Apparently all the rooms are sold as king superiors but one room is a twin and this is allocated randomly by the computer. As the only couple on a romantic break, we were given the twin room. Obviously this ruined our stay and people should be aware that this hotel does not feel it is necessary to provide you with the room it has sold you or inform you in advance or even at checking in. They offered to downgrade us to their standard king but frankly by then the evening was ruined. Had they told us at any time that they could not guarantee provision of the room they were selling, we would have found another hotel. Very, very disappointing stay and so unnecassary - just provide what you say you will and be honest.

To start I would like to say the accommodation is quite good and breakfast was ok. But my main problem was with the reception staff and manager, when we arrived and checked in we went to the bar to get a drink my partner decided to nip to the toilet, as he walked into the gents he slipped on a pool of water fell forward onto his knees banged his head oh the sink and split his finger on an uneven tile on the floor, we went to reception ans explained what had happened it look them 8 mins to get a first aides who then left to find some plasters while my son took another member of staff to the gents, he agreed that there was excessive water on the floor and would arrange to have it cleared up. My partners injuries we not serious as he is only in his fifties but if it had been an older person things could have been different, we asked to see the record of when the gents was last checked and were told they don't know where that would be. The next morning there was a note placed under our door I fully expected it to read due to the accident our room would not be charged for or even a sorry but no it was the bill. So much for customer service

This is one of the worst hotel experiences i have experienced. Quite of few issues with the hotel which i have listed below: - check in times vary on email and website. Email confirmed 2pm but we couldn’t check in till 4pm? - room was not cleaned, dirty carpet and rubbish on the floor - complimentary bottles of water filled with tap water- dirty and made us feel sick - when communicated to Darren the manager, he accused us of lying and told us ‘to go back to where we came from’ as we felt unwell. - we had to call reception a few times to get replacement bottles of water - no fridge in room - space for fridge was nailed shut - only 3 plug sockets- one taken for fridge and another taken for heater so only left 1! - tv didn’t work- couldn’t connect phones to it even though said it could - radiator broke on second night. Not fixed and no blankets provided. Staff were rude and said ‘ we don’t give out blankets at this marriot’ - restaurant- was still serving xmas menu even though should have finished. Charging £26 at the table but £25 on menus round the hotel?? - no rail to dry towels- had to put them on radiator to dry - only 5 showers in womens changing rooms- had to queue for one - spa is not relaxing- it allows kids to run around and go into sauna and wet room which i think is against health and safety No lifeguards either This is an awful hotel- do not stay here!

Stayed from New Years Eve until Tuesday we were here for a friend's celebration. The hotel was well located and was very tastefully decorated. We had a lovely room with plenty of space the only problem we had was controlling the heating. The other minor issue was that half the plugs in the room were old style round pin plugs and only a couple of 3 pin square plugs which is a problem when charging mobiles and tablets. The staff were all very friendly and obliging. We enjoyed the sauna and the pool was much larger than you usually see in an hotel. The exercise machine room was unbelievably well equipped. Overall we enjoyed our brief stay very much.

21st Birthday Celebration this weekend. All the guests commented on the great food, expedient service, setting, and reserved area in the bar. We’re made to feel like VIP’s. This place is on our doorstep, and the first time we have arranged a family get together here. To all the staff, our thanks. A night of great memories drawn form both the company and ambience of the Marriott. Looking forward to the next time. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here Boxing Day with family members. Have stayed here before and always enjoyed the lovely grounds and good facilities. Have to say though the rooms are starting to feel aged - I walked into our room which was absolutely sweltering (in December) and was told no rooms have central control systems, just radiators. Had to wait for an hour or so for the temp to cool (had to sit with door open as our room was located on an external corridor outside the hotel building so could let fresh air in). Biggest disappointment for me was breakfast - £16 per person and what was on offer was simply not acceptable. We went to breakfast around 9.30am so maybe the staff just reached a point where efforts were dwindling but the place looked a mess. Lots of food items missing or hadn't been replenished, fruit choices were minimal. I looked for a fresh cob/baguette to slice but could only find a small basket with a couple of miniature bread rolls in. I was about to find someone to ask where the fresh bread was but someone had beaten me to it. Response they got was "we used to offer fresh bread but we decided to stop that". Shocking! The items in the hot section were ok but to me there was minimal choice in general. For £16 you expect plenty of good quality well-presented food, this wasn't the case here at Worsley Marriott. Lovely location, beautiful to look at but needs some work on the detail.

Enjoyed time in leisure facilities. Unfortunately, our daughter was not allow in the gym as she isn’t 16. Amazing food. Worth every penny. Best English breakfast I have tried in my life. Not a lot of photos to share as we spent all our time in the pool, jacuzzi and steam room. Nice atmosphere at the reception, but not much Christmas decorations on the floors.
