Great stay and excellent location. Would come again. Enjoyed the breakfast as well.

Excellent stay! Great location, clean and spacious room. I would definitely come back on my next trip to Madrid.

This is my second trip to Spain and first trip going solo. I picked this place because it looked clean, modern and chic. While it was all of those things, the construction is a bit shoddy. I had to remove the device that stops the water from draining from both the tub and one of the sinks for the water to actually drain. Also, some of the maids would not throughly clean or replace the towels everyday when they were clearly dirty and I put them in a pile on the floor to have them washed. They are a green hotel and there is a placard you can leave on the bed to have them change the sheets whenever you want. Lastly, this is a noisy hotel with very thin walls. You can hear the bathroom doors and closet doors close (or slam) as well as people's footsteps from surrounding rooms. I actually had to bang on the wall to stop a girl next door from literally screaming while she was having sex :( . I asked the reception if they had earplugs and the man said no and that the noise is only on the weekends-not true. It is on the main, busy street and close to everything, which is great. The breakfast is $15/per person and the breakfast is OK, I wouldn't have any of the bar food, it is overpriced and not that great. Overall, it is an OK hotel. BUT don't stay here if you're a light sleeper, plan to get more than 4 hours of good sleep or plan to sleep in.

Great location, in Gran Vía (one of the most important streets in Madrid). One minute walk from the closest metro station. Clean spacious room, excellent bathroom and good closet. It offers a mini bar with refrigerator which is a plus. Everything was working well (tv, air conditioner, etc.). Comfortable beds and best thing, GREAT PRICE! It was the best hotel I stayed for my stay in Europe and the cheapest.

Most of the staff was quite friendly except for the receptionist at front. She was very snippy and seemed a little annoyed with nonspanish speakers which ruined experience for us.

Staff really great. Very accomodating. Hotel very slick. Area very central - as stated! However, it was very crowded in the area - tough to walk down the streets. Nothing wrong with that if you enjoy being in the middle of it all. Hotel walls a bit thin...had to complain at 4.30am on our first night as the neighbors seem to have forgotten there are other people in the hotel and were having a little get together. This was remedied by them moving us up a floor the following day. I would stay again if we needed to be in the area.

The Vincci Via 66 is officially a 4 star hotel but it is considerably nicer, cleaner and had better service than most European 4 stars. The hotel is in a great location right on the Gran Via, the main street in Madrid. We did arrive a couple hours before check-in but within half an hour they had a room prepared. The hotel theme is 1950's-Hollywood-Glamor style. They actually did a very good job at it without giving off that cheapy bold plastic feeling. Very impressive. The Vincci Via 66 is in no way grand it is however spacious and quite tall. It boasts a semi-circle marble staircase running the entire height of the hotel and 3 glass elevators that were dressed in cages like an old-fashioned lift. Very nice and more importantly clean.

The hotel has a great location, at Gran Via, walking distance from many points of interest. Good size room, very clean and friendly staff. Decoration seems a little dated, but that is just a matter of taste and does not interfere with comfort. The hotel does not seem to be designed with families and young kids in mind, but for adults and business travelers is good. Internet connection with the free option is really slow at times. The room has a really annoying emergency light that may interfere with your sleep, since you will not be able to darken the room. That is my only complaint.

Excellent hotel for a short stay in Madrid, near subway and in the center, walking distance for almost all attractions. Good breakfast a little expensive but it is worth it.

Great hotel and great location for your value! Highly recommend it especially if you want to grab a beer 20 feet away from the hotel.

This hotel had a good location and lovely rooftop bar. The room was a bit small but a lot of European rooms aren't their large... It was overall good, I'd say about 4 stars....

The hotel was excellent. The staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We couldn't have asked for a better location. We would definitely stay at this hotel in the future.

Great location next to the plaza Espana train statation. The hotel is modern and the staff is super friendly. They just bigger televisions the one we had was 13inches othern than that my experience was very possitive and will stay here again.

The staff was attentive and the room was wonderful. The only downside was that it smelled of fresh paint, which required us to air it a bit. The rooftop was wonderful for happy hour, but much to our disappointment, it closed early on the Wednesday which we were there.

Great rooftop patio, great staff. Nice looking comfy rooms. Very clean.

Nice clean hotel right in the centre of the Gran Via. Close to shops, helpful staff. Only complaint is that we were unable to get coffee in the hotel first thing in the morning (however there is a Starbucks around the corner) and the rooftop bar/terrace had limited opening hours.

Good Location, nice area, close to metro, walking distance to palace.

Some reviews said that the hotel doesn't have free wifi but it's not true! We had wifi that worked throughout the hotel. The decor was fun and comfortable. We loved the rooftop bar and the breakfast was outstanding! And it was affordable! We loved the hotel and would definitely stay there again!

Great little hotel in a central location. Staff were cordial, rooms were clean and well decorated. The breeze on the roof top deck/bar was great. The hotel was also quiet so you slept well. Taxis easy to grab out front, walking distance to the subway. Avis rent a car is right next door as well as Starbucks if you want to drink an American coffee and stick out like a sore thumb! I would stay here again and recommend it to my friends, this was good value for money.

The weird decor of this hotel - old movie star photos, black and red everywhere, odd cutouts in the paneling - was scary, but at least I had a wonderful view from my 9th floor room. But then I began hearing odd cooing and scratching sounds that could have been a bird or a mouse trapped inside a wall. I then moved to a 2nd floor room, where the view wasn't so great and there was a lot more street noise. This is centrally located, but in a heavily trafficked tourist area far from attractions such as museums, nice shopping, parks and other points of interest. A saving grace is the wonderful terrace, though the prices charged - 3 euros for a tiny glass of coke - were ridiculous. Still, check out the terrace if you're in the area but do yourself a favor and do not check into this hotel.
