We stayed here during 07-12.11.2017; the hotel is a little bit far away, but there are good possibilities for public buses to reach the downtown; comfortable, clean, large room and the friendly services; we thanks especially to Alina and Cristi from Restaurant & Bar, for their professional and warm attitude and behaviour. Thanks a lot both of them and the management staff . Your sincerely fam. Lia & Niculae MIHAITA from Bucharest
We stayed in the hotel during our workshop which was in UNIVERSONORO nearby the hotel. We had it 5 minutes by foot. The position of the hotel for the downtown trips is perfect due to availibility e.g. to use the bus number 50 and in 5-10 minutes you are everywhere in the centre of the city. The room we had was spaciuous with the view to the park and the river. Bathroom was nice with the tub combined with shower. Everything was clean. The personnel was friendly and helpful. Before the hotel is one-way street and sometimes when the traffic jam started a lot of drivers used the klaxon and it was noisy. But it was only in the working day mainly in the morning. For the airport transportation we used a combination Renfe train from the airport to the Piramides station and bus number 62 which has the stop nearby the hotel ( some 200m).
Out of the 6 hotels on my recent Euro trip, this hotel was my 2nd favorite. The room felt so spacious and airy. There was a king bed and a desk, and a nook for your suitcase. Everything fit well so that it wasn't in the way. The room was also exceptionally clean. The floors were spotless and looked brand new. I felt like the 1st person to use that room. The bathroom was so modern that I didn't even know how to turn on the shower. The front desk was friendly, and check-in and check-out were very quick. They provide complimentary water in the lobby, and there is a nice outdoor area. The hotel is also right next to the Manzanares and a park. Overall, it was a relaxing stay. It was a bit hard to access public transportation, and there are few cabs outside the hotel, but the weather was so beautiful that it was just nice to walk through the park and along the river.
We stayed in the junior suite. Excellent size room and bathroom. Breakfast was one of best we ever ate. Huge spread. Very nice staff. Location though not close to the main city square but very easily accessible by all public transport like the bus and taxi. Bus stop is right outside. Would highly recommend this truly 4 star hotel to travellers visiting Madrid.
Was not impressed with the hotel , it's around 30 minute walk into the city , the cabs are very expensive . The hotel had a broken handle for the bathroom which wasn't ideal. There were ants in the room and the staff weren't that friendly. Won't be staying here again
I stayed here as part of a tour. Generally I had a very good visit. I arrived at about 9am in the morning with a full day ahead of me. The staff managed to get me into my room within 1/2 an hour of arriving. I was quite appreciative of that. (They did not tell me that my roommate - from Australia, and whom I had not met - was already in the room - so I ended up walking in on her when she was changing. A bit awkward to be sure! But we managed to get over it quickly. Perhaps something that can be noted for future - to advise people when others have already checked in? (I'm sure it's not that common that people are rooming with strangers from across the world? But it can happen - I've done it with family members in past to meet in a mutually agreeable location to travel). This hotel has a very good restaurant - but one of our co-travellers had her wallet stolen when getting breakfast. I understand that the hotel was very helpful in helping her deal with this. (I also wonder why someone would leave their wallet unattended - but travellers come from different experiences). There is a but that goes right downtown to Puerta del Sol, and it comes back to a bus stop behind the building. It also is on a very nice walkway that runs behind the building on the river. Make sure you have the bus #, and note the last bus stop for the bus (as that is the bus stop to stop at to come back to the hotel. I tried taking the subway, and Madrid Transit was not helpful in helping me find the appropriate local subway stop - and I ended up walking miles to come back to the hotel. Not something I like to do in a foreign country when I don't know the language). The bus works - use it! I tried the pizza /burger restaurant across the river and about 500' away - not that enjoyable (especially with cigarettes and pigeons near my food). I heard that the restaurant right beside the hotel on the same street (maybe on next block) was very enjoyable for an evening meal.
Hotel was comfortable, clean and service was accomodating. The location of the Hotel is just off the Manzanares River fairly close to downtown. The Hotel is near a very nice walkway where walkers, joggers, bike riders and exercise enthusiasts found welcome paths. One issue we had not expected was the major construction and renovations taking place directly behind and around the hotel, with heavy equipment and personnel working very hard for at least another few months to a year.
Compared to the shoe box I previously stayed in Barcelona, this hotel is so beautiful. Very large rooms, clean & modern. Great views & just a nice relaxing place to stay. Didn't want to leave the room. Staff are friendly & food is very delicious. The buffet spread for breakfast was out of this world. I haven't seen so much food in o e place before. So yum!
This is a nice business hotel in Madrid, but it is not suitable for families willig to visit the major atratctions as it is 20 minutes taxi away from city center. Nice room and nice breakfast. Staff are discrete.
We stopped in Madrid as our last stop in the Family trip. We had double booked this hotel with another 9.7 booking.com rated place. We were very diss-appointed with the apartment and rushed to this Hotel itself whom were kind enough to re-instate our booking even though i had cancelled it the day before. This hotel was a splendid surprise to us. Great staff, Clean, Room were new and had a very positive feeling about it. They gave us connected rooms we had requested and gave us guidance on everything to do in Madrid. They were a short taxi ride to the city center. The breakfast was very nice and the kids enjoyed the candy they had in the kids corner. Overall, we are grateful to the management and staff for a very nice stay. Price was also very affordable.
