NH Madrid Paseo de la Habana4.0 out of 5.0

The hotel is very well located if you go to a Real Madrid's match. It is just 3/4 stops away from the airport. 5 minutes walk from the metro to the hotel and 5 minutes from the hotel to the stadium. This hotel is not located in the center of Madrid, so I did not recommend it if you stay for a tour in Madrid but is perfect for a visit to the stadium. The hotel is overall good. the breakfast is the best "feature". The rooms are OK as well as the service and the cleanliness.
Not as peaceful as advertised as there was noise from the playground almost 18 hours per day. There is an unexplained inconsistency in the price of the same room from trip to trip and from day to day. Hotels the same quality in the UK and Germany were better located, more consistent in price, and lower in price. The strong point is the entire staff; from cleaning, to desk, and to the bar.
Spent a few days during business trip to Madrid. The hotel has a good location close to metro station and the Bernabéu stadium. It is small, clean with pretty good staff and great breakfast. Many nice restaurants around. On the downside the rooms are small and worn, not what one would expect from a four star hotel, there's no gym of any sort and there are many activities happening (language exams, conferences) that make staying a bit stressful during weekends.
Nice hotel, well located, good value for your money. Close to Santiago Bernabeau. Quite a good job from everyone in the Staff. Nice rewards and good installations: TV, pillows, etcetera. Only problem is that it a laundry department is quite expensive
I recently stayed at this hotel as it was close to the Bernabeu stadium where I was to watch Real Madrid/Barcelona's traditional El Clasico game. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the stadium and also very close to major department stores like El Corte Ingles. Great restaurants are found on either side of the hotel within a short walking distance. The staff at the hotel were supper attentive and my I was provided an excellent suite styled room. Too bad my team lost El Clasico, but that is another story.
Great location, walking distance to about everything. And, Right in the center of Madrid; public transportations is only a few meters away each direction from the hotel. And, train station is couple blocks away.
I had a chance to spent couple of days at Paseo de la Habana mid-March. First impression of the hotel was more o lass OK, but when I entered the room… believe me, it was the smallest room that I ever had! Despite the size of the room, all other was not as it supposed to be. Curtains could not be closed so I was awake since 5am. I opened the window for fresh air because the air conditioning was not working properly but then you have unbearable noise from the street. I attached few pictures of the room so you can make your own conclusion... Paseo de la Habana, a four star hotel for sure it is not, and definitely not to be recommended. PS. if you already make your reservation please avoid room No.: 119
This is an OK hotel in a residencial area of madrid not far from The Bernabeu stadium. We came here as we had a trade show as this hotel was next to a tube station that was connected to the trade show. However this did not work out as planned as the tube was closed for work. The rooms are small and clean. The breakfast good but not cooked the bar nice but expensive. I would not really say this hotel was 4 star but it did the job.
Rooms (or at least mine) was small & dated, and that cleanliness was okay & maintenance could be improved air conditioning didn't work - had to open the window but it was v noisy outside. With the window closed it was stifling. (And this is a feb trip). Wifi was free but v slow without the paid upgrade. Mini bar but no kettle / drink making facilities and no water provided. No ironing board. Bathrooms was small and although clean was very dated and looked a little out of repair. Friendly staff - appreciated my attempts at Spanish but were polite and replied in English. Near to the real madrid stadium - not really much else Breakfast was okay, dinner was okay - nothing more. No pool or gym or facilities out of the room to write home about
Stayed for Christmas and new year period to enjoy Madrid. Excellent location at walking distance of Paseo La Castellana, famous Bernabeu soccer stadium and Serrano street. Also close to metro station connecting with the airport and bus line to the center of Madrid. Friendly and helpful staff.
