Rooms are a bit old, however the rooms Are clean. No Kleenex at the rooms Very basic setup. I would have expected to find a coffee machine or even a cattle to do some tea in the rooms but none of them is available Over priced for the room.
Its a lovely hotel just north of Madrid centre. If you are traveling by metro (which i did) its a two minute walk from the station.Plenty fast food outlets and restaurants in the area. I was there for a real madrid match which i walked to and it only took about 30 minutes
This is a classy hotel with extra comfy beds, very friendly and helpful staff and a great breakfast. The metro is virtually just across the street and there are plenty of taxis passing. There is a small coffee shop in house offering a small selection of tappas. We wish they provided an iron and ironing board. In house laundry offerings are useless when only staying one night and we stayed at 3 hotels in a row for one night and not one with an iron.
My family & I stayed in the hotel for 5 nights last week. This is an excellent hotel, The room was spacious. Our room had 3 beds, including a sofa bed, all of which were very comfortable. The best thing about this hotel, is the Metro station is less than 2 minutes walk. we felt very safe in this neighborhood, as it seemed to bustling with people even at 1:00 AM in the morning. There are many excellent small cafes within 1-3 minutes walking from this hotel. There is also a 24 hour grocery store, which is like 2 minutes walking from the hotel. There are also plenty of shopping all within walking distance. The Real Madrid stadium is also 10-15 minutes walking distance from this hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. One of the front desk personnel helped me figure out how to get to Toledo, when the AVE trains from Madrid was booked out and full. Our stay in Hotel VP Jardin Metropolitano was very pleasant and we had a wonderful time in Madrid.
WiFi !!!! "Oh, it doesn't work? Maybe the antenna in your room fell off". Really? WiFi is a basic provision of the hotel. It should work and work well!! Bad WiFi is just like bad cleaning, bad breakfast etc. (the hotel was clean an breakfast was good, and yet...)
We arrived in on a late Heathrow flight and took a taxi from the airport to Hotel Jardin Metropolitano which took about 20 minutes. We added this one night stay onto our 2 night Madrid trip at last minute and picked it due to the distance to the Bernabeu which we walked to and did the tour prior to check out the next morning! As we only stayed one night I can't comment on service or breakfast etc but the room was spacious, however there were no tea or coffee making facilities and a very old and slow hairdryer in the bathroom. The rooms are a little more dated than appear in the online pictures however the lobby, stairs and centre of the hotel are really stunning. All In all, for one night, the hotel did the job!
I spent 3 nights in the hotel for business. The situation was great, 2 min from the tube station " cuatro caminos", the room was big and modern and the breakfast was lovely, it was buffet and there were so many choices.
Close to metro (intersection of 3 lines), nice, clean, green (there are plants everywhere) hotel with its own parking and a small fitness room. Wonderful breakfast with a great choice of fruits, sweets and several options of hot food. Friendly staff. Close to the shopping district. The view from our window was on the train shed, it was not noisy because we didn' open the window, but I think it can be a problem in summer.
Enjoyed my stay at the Jardin Metropolitano. Located very near a metro stop and a 24hr grocery store. The interior of the hotel is quite lovely with actual gardens on the second (I believe) floor. The gardens can be seen from the elevator all the way up. The food - breakfast and lunch - was delicious. I had a nice view from my room with a little balcony overlooking the road. The only downside was that the wifi was a bit spotty.
This hotel is very near the metro and, whilst the decor is a bit retro, it's quiet with very comfortable large beds (in our twin room) and a good TV; great water pressure so a good shower. We didn't breakfast here but lots of cafes in the environs. Friendly reception staff. Wouldn't hesitate to stay again.
