I want to post my comment quickly before i forget every little beautiful detail of this wonderful find of mine. Easy access to metro, sympathetic reception area, very big cleaned room with balcony, big bathroom with bath, a very big space to keep your stuff inside and of course a locker ! Air con also worked fine. We needed it so much as it was so hot outside. Thank you again. Would recommend to my friends
This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. We had a hire car and they have underground parking at €21 per day. The Metro is very close so no need for a car and it's only a few stops to city centre. A number of restaurants within a few minutes walk and there is a large 24hour supermarket just 2 mins walk away. It's a great base to visit the city. We had breakfast included and it was substantial, everything you could want and they also cook whatever hot dish you might like on request ( omelette for example ). Rooms were very spacious, we went for the superior double room and it had two lovely armchairs in a good space to relax in. The beds were comfortable, good bathroom, new tv with a number of English speaking news channels. We did not use the gym. The staff were excellent, courteous and very helpful. I will definitely return to stay here.
The room for three is very good & spacious. Breakfast buffet is wonderful for 11 euros. However you have to book it at reception when you arrive or it will cost you much more. You don't have to book it everyday like other hotels. Location is very close to the Metro and train station, although a little bit far from Puerta del Sol & Gran Via (+/- 6 stops). My only complaint is the Wi-Fi signal (Functional at lobby only).
A great gem of a hotel in Madrid! Comfortable, clean rooms. We added a cot for a third person and it was perfect. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful - especially since I don't speak Spanish! The staff at this hotel make my review a 5 star. If you stay here, book the breakfast for 10€ - fresh fruit, coffee, dietary mods like soy milk etc. They will also make an omelette if you pick out the ingredients from the central table. The hotel is right outside a metro station so getting into the tourist district and downtown is often without transfers.
I spent two nights here on a business visit. I didn't use many of the facilities. The breakfast was good and the staff very friendly. Slight niggle was that the room got quite hot when you left them because the air con was disconnected one the key card was removed. Other than that the hotel was fine. Not far from Cuatro Caminos metro and very comfortable.
Located in the outskirts of the City Center in a more residential area Hotel Metropolitano VP is a great and safe option. The hotel is large and clean and comfortable. The rooms are clean with large bathrooms and offer a great range of TV channels. They offer breakfast on site for 16 Euros or if you visit the front desk first they give you a cheapers rate of 10 Euros per person. The rooms do not have hot water kettle or coffee machines but late one evening they were more than willing to provide me with a kettle with hot water, tea and sugar. If you need an iron you can always ask at the front desk. The housekeepers are nice and were always willing to provide fresh towels. Location: Just a three minute walk to the metro and a ten minute train ride to the city center “Sol station” for 1.60 p/p on the 2 line, Cuatro Caminos is actually the first stop on the line so no confusion there. There are also two other train lines at the station to access other parts of the city. By taxi it’s a 15 minute/15 Euro taxi ride from the Atocha Renfe station, and 30 Euros and 20 minutes to the Airport, not sure from the airport. Its about a 20 minute walk from St. Bernebeau Stadium or 7 Euro and very shot taxi ride. We never felt unsafe arriving late to the hotel via metro or cab. In the area: There is also a 24 hour super market around the corner along with a KFC and McDonalds. Also right next to the hotel is an Asian eatery (I believe sushi-looks clean and bright, didn’t try it), as well a café chain in Spain called “Café & Te” they serve coffee tea sandwiches crepes and so on.
Stayed beginning of June, three nights with friends. Very convenient location, Metro station close by, only short journeys to sights, museums etc. Very good breakfast, didn't have meal in the restaurant but menu looked very nice. Only criticism as no tea/coffee making facilities in room. Very comfortable beds, with unique "pillow menu"! Would definitely recommend a stay here.
We spent 3 days in Madrid and this was my choice from few simple reasons - there was one of the very few hotels in Madrid which offers big enough rooms (we didn't want anymore to experience to stay in 15-20 sqm rooms) with around 30 sqm at a decent price - paying 300 euros/night is simply ridiculous for the conditions you usually get in western Europe for 5 stars hotels. Location was great for at least 3 reasons: 1. Few meters from a metro station with direct connection to Sol ( the city center stop) and Atocha (the mai train station). 2. A supermarket just next door so you can have more water, fruits, drinks for the room 3. 100 m from an excellent sports facility place where you can run on a rubber path (my choice), play tennis, football and practice golf) The third point was good as the hotel "fitness" room is a joke - you shouldn't consider it at all. Internet signal was also quite weak. The was no valet to help you with luggage and also no concierge service - you need to search on internet (which anyway works slow). On the other hand the room were nice, stuff doing their best to help, breakfast excellent. Another facility I like (as first time I encounter) was the late checkout - you pay extra 10 euros/ each additional hour you need. Overall a good choice. Enjoy!
This was our first stay in Jardin Meropolitano. We have spent 3 nights at the hotel. Arriving well after midnight, we were allowed to leave our luggage before checking in and rushed for a late supper in vicinity. The hotel is very clean, staff knowledgeable about Madrit attractions and rooms furnished in clasical wood rather than plastic, ellegant fashion. We were very pleased with the room facing the backyard - quiet and peaceful. Perhaps the only downside was accoutic of adjoined next room bathroom. The hotel is about 100 yards from the metro entrance. ATTENTION: the Quatro Camines Metro station has several exits. In order to emerge with the right exit ask for the 'McDonald" - locals know it and will direct you right through. The alternative is "the stress in the maze".
We were a group of 50 people and this was our very first hotel in our trip. We had a very nice welcome, smooth check-in, rooms were very comfortable. Hotel is just steps away from a metro stop which makes it very easy to visit the center. There are nice streets, a supermarket and good restaurants around the hotel as well. Overall this is a perfect choice to use as a comfortable base during a Madrid trip.
