This was our first visit to Madrid and after reading the many exceptionally good reviews on this hotel, we booked it for 3 nights Fri-Mon. We had arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport who also told it was a very good hotel with a good reputation and with a highly recommended Michelin starred restaurant. We didn't eat the the Michelin starred restaurant but did eat at the La Manzana restaurant on the Friday night we arrived. The food, service and wine were fantastic and I can only think it has michelin aspirations as it really was so good. Reception were great, checking all of our details and making sure we had everything covered during our stay. The hotel is filled with fresh flowers everywhere - from reception to dinner table, to occasional tables and even in the bathroom! The room we had was quite small but not so small that there wasn't room for an armchair, dressing table/chair, chaise at the foot of the bed and bed-side tables. Ample wardrobe space, with plenty of hangers and a full sized ironing board. There was a safe and mini bar and a nespresson type coffee machine in the room as well as a sound bar speaker (also fed into the bathroom). The bathroom was spacious, plenty of towels, bathrobes and slippers and toiletries in abundance which were replenished every day. Turn down service with complimentary chocolate and next day weather forecast was a nice touch too. A really nice touch was that they had noted my hubbys birthday and even presented him with a white chocolate apple (which was coloured and look just like an apple) along with a card to say happy birthday. The hotel was very quiet, probably due to time of year and although it's not in the heart of the city, you can be there quickly by either walking (as we did), getting on the metro (less than 50 yards from the hotel) or going over the road an hopping on one of the hop on/hop off tourist buses (on the opposite side of the road and a hundred or so yards up to the left as you come from the front of Hesperia. All in all a great trip made all the better by a lovely hotel and staff - highly recommended!!
Everybody went out of their way, super friendly staff, very helpful staff, 5 star service all the way I’ll be staying here on my next trip to Madrid for sure, great buffet breakfast too, great location, beautiful neighborhood.
We had a one-week conference at Hesperia. The staff is very professional, attendive and service minded. All was very well planned. Very flexibel when we requested heahtly break foods. Great buffet lunch, varied menu every day. Breakfast area was very bright and calm. Super professional staff. Location is perfect with many great restaurants nearby. Try Ten con Ten or Bar Tomate. the Hotel restaurant Santceloni is an extrordinary experience. Well worthy of it's Michelin stars. Rooms a bit dark, several facing alley or fire escape. The brighter rooms towards Castellana a bit noisy. A bit thin walls and doors so noises travelling between rooms and you can hear people walking by in hallway.
I can't fault this hotel, from the friendly greeting upon arrival, the mouth watering food, the cleanliness, the service - from start to finish our stay was a delight. Guest relations went above and beyond to help us and made an extra fuss of our seven year daughter who has rated this our favourite hotel we have ever stayed in.
Stayed at Hesperia during a recent stay in Madrid, and my expectations were exceeded. The hotel is located in the financial district, and cabs are plentiful and can take you to wherever you want to go! There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. Our travel agent had passed along that we were celebrating our wedding anniversary, and we were so surprised to find a bottle of Cava, flowers and balloons waiting in our room for us upon check in! Our room was quiet and beautiful, the bed and pillows were comfortable. Thank you, Hesperia for making our experience in Madrid delightful. Already looking forward to our next visit.
We asked a quiet room and received a room on the 9th floor. even with two double glazed windows. We had a very short night and tried to sleep at 4pm but to much traffic noise in the front. The desk was so friendly to immediately change our room to the back of the hotel. The helpful staff helped everywhere possible. I had an excellent quiet stay for the next 5 days an every morning a six star breakfast.
the Hesperia hotel is just so lovely the staff are all very helpful we had such a lovely breakfast in lovely surroundings we walked to the real madrid football stadium and did a tour there is a lovely bar just around the corner, a train station very close you can get the real madrid bus tour from just across the road a really lovely hotel
We stayed at Hesperia Madrid for almost a week in September. I have to say that the entire experience could not have been better. Our initial purpose was business, but we enjoyed ourselves and Madrid so much we chose to stay on another 4 days on our own dime (and well worth it). Everything was waiting for us upon arrival, staff literally went out of their way all week long to ensure our stay was comfortable and easy. They even helped us celebrate our wedding anniversary (thanks again for the campaign!). Accommodating does not begin to describe the attitude and service here. Location was great, amenities always at hand, suggestions right on target and food & drink were marvelous. Spotless, luxurious and amazingly comfortable surroundings but not stuffy or ostentatious. It's the people who turn a typical stay at a highly rated hotel into a great experience, and Hesperia Madrid obviously knows this very well! I've never been one for writing online reviews - but in this case I could not resist making the time to do so. Thank You to all!
I stayed recently at the Hesperia, and it exceeded my expectations. First of all, service was great and employees were all helpful and nice, no exceptions. Second, the buffet had everything I usually eat for breakfast, and much more. Fruit, yoghurt, eggs to order, cheeses, cold meats, breads, coffee, hot chocolate, etc. Third, the Hesperia is located in a quiet area, on Paseo La Castellana, an elegant neighborhood and avenue. I walked straight south to El Prado and other museums, 20 minutes, or took the subway at the Gregorio Marañon station a few steps from the door. It was elating to come back at night, after walking the whole day. I certainly will come back here. Thank you Hesperians.
Stayed at Hesperia 4 days during a marvelous trip to Madrid. We were greeted by a friendly doorman who took care of our luggage, were then checked in by the amazing reception staff. The fragrant scent as you enter the hotel is beautiful together with a table full of fabulous flowers! Our room was spacious and beautiful, needless to say it was pristine and equipped with top-notch frills! As another welcome we found an exquisite chocolate apple-shaped candy on the table, flowers, more chocolates on beds - it was absolutely fantastic! Thank you, Hesperia for making our experience in Madrid even more enjoyable! We are definitely hoping to come back and stay at the beautiful Hesperia once again! Muchas gracias!!!
