We are staying in Hesperia hotel in Madrid for a week. This is the warmer five star hotel we have stayed ever. The price was right. The service was so friendly we felt like in the family. Everybody was caring for our wellbeing. With hot wether out side this was our refuge.
Another short stay at the Hesperia. Never had any complaints, service has always been excellent. Quality of food is very good. Location very central on Castellana. As I mentioned before the standard rooms are quite small, functional but small. So I asked whether any upgrades were available. They offered me the executive penthouse suite, I just did not think it was worth for me to pay the extra as I was not going to spend much time in the room. I was given a standard room, but end of the corridor as it has more light. Not sure about this. The room itself faces the inside court of the building, which is quite dark, and it has quite small windows. The bathroom has a large window, which makes it light. Also, the bathroom in these rooms is larger.
Nice hotel. Updated but you can tell its older still. Very expensive bar and restaurants. Overall enjoyable place to stay. There is no car service to the hotel but the taxis have a flat rate to the front door. The doormen are very professional and helpful.
Lately have been going to HESPERIA in Madrid for business. The hotel is well located, with many good restaurants within walking distance including a top one in house (a bit too expensive). It's not too big, hence rarely crowded. Good beds, pilllows and overall sleeping experience although the rooms are not very large. Excellent breakfast with attentive staff. Nespresso in the room and at breakfast.
Excellent hotel. BUT, on a second stay they put us (a married couple) in a room with two separate beds and could not explain why! This was not the case on our first stay. So our advice is to reserve with care.
Hesperia Madrid is no doubt a 5-star hotel. Service is excellent. The room is big and comfortable. Staff is professional and friendly. It's close to the subway station and a taxi stand. While it's a bit far from the key tourist areas, it did work for me as I already stayed in Madrid for over a week and would like to explore other districts such as Chamberí. Paseo de la Castellana, where this hotel is located, is a beautiful avenue. Shopping areas are also within walking distance. I stayed there on a Sunday so only their bar was opened. The food was good, but it's not cheap. It's too bad that I had to catch an early flight and couldn't stay there for their breakfast. I bet it's good too.
Very good Queen size bed, pillow menu and very good variety and quality of the amenities. Nice staff, good quality breakfast but it's necessary to improve the variety. The ceilling height of the meeting room was too low. This was the main reason to make difficult the complete viewing of the presentation screen.
Came for convention at IFEMA. This hotel is very well located just 50m to Metro. The stay didn't start out well as they claimed a computer hitch couldn't check me in. Shucks who cares, I had been in a plane for 30 hrs.....a few beers in the Madrid sun fixed that. Room on 9th floor was well appointed, and very nice. Shame the WiFi was abit variable What I liked most was the place never felt full, especially at breakfast. There seemed to be space. I'd like to give a big thumbs up to the French barman in the whiskey bar, knowledgeable and enthusiastic.
All good. Drinks in the bar were very expensive but all other aspects were very pleasant. Would stay there again. Helpful, courteous staff was very responsive. One suggestion is to not require a minimum of 200 words to complete this review because, while the stay was very pleasant, I really don't have the time or inclination to write this much. Can't think of anything else to say but hope this meets the 200 word requirement.
I stayed here as part of a tour and everything at this hotel was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The rooms are lovely and very comfortable. They had a nice selection for breakfast.Of the three hotels on our tour, this was by far the best. Also a great location, everything nearby.
