Clayton Hotel Silver Springs

Not a hotel for a long stay

First off this is a very old and dated hotel. They were doing renovations of the 2nd and part of the 3rd floor while we were there and the elevators could only access the 2nd floor. We had tobtake the stairs to the 3rd. With 2 large suitcases and folf clubs it was not easy. They did upgrade us to a suite and it was very large but it was so old. The bed was so hard you could feel every single spring. Also there was no a/c. I know most places don't have them there but the window would only open an inch so it was so hot all night. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything. I hate writing bad reviews but this place needs a lot of work.

Victoria House Hotel

Nice Stay in Killarney

This was a great little hotel in Killarney. It was close to Ross Castle and had easy access to the Ring of Kerry. There was a nice, cozy pub attached with good food and drinks and a fireplace. Also, the breakfast was FANTASTIC. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The only con is that it was a bit noisy; we could hear the people in the next room shuffling around. Other than that, it was a great hotel with friendly staff.
