It's the second time I've been in Maastricht and always at the same Hotel. Me, and my family, we like to stay at Valk Hotel Maastricht because the staff is very kind, rooms are spacious, breakfast is very good, and with lots of options, and the restaurant has also a great service. Because of all I describe, I recommend Valk Hotel Maastricht!
We stayed here as part of Andre Rieu package and found the hotel to be ideal. Nice rooms. Excellent breakfast, 1st class, with lots of choice, nice clean room, 5 mins drive from city, helpful staff throughout.
Brilliant hotel. The highlight for me was a wonderful breakfast in the garden. Brilliant pool - and it was empty. Free drink on arrival. Free shuttle bus to the concert and back. Perfect hotel just outside a beautiful town. We walked to town - about 40 min stroll with directions from receptionist. We booked directly with the hotel which was a BIG SAVING. Take my advice and just GO! But book early. (We had a large triple room. )
This is a great hotel. We got a nice and big room with a fantastic bathroom. The staff is wonderful and help you in any way. The restaurant serves very nice dinners. The breakfast is great and has everything you can wish for. We have stayed at this hotel earlier, and we never get disappointed.
Although only for one night for an Andre Rieu concert, the hotel is very welcoming, efficient and even organises return coach travel the short distance into the city for the concert - 5 euros total per person. Highly recommended and would definitely stay here again as a first choice.
The Van Der Valk was everything we hoped for and so much more. All the staff were so friendly and could not do enough for us. We were vising for the Andre Rieu concert, so the hotel was very busy, but this only added to the atmosphere and despite the restaurant being also very busy, the food was absolutely amazing. I would not hesitate at all to recommend this hotel and will definitely return at some point in the future.
One weeks camping in Holland with the highlight of staying in your wonderful hotel. This is the second time we have done this trip and we will be doing another next year. The organisation for the Andre Rieu concert was excellent.
Visited the Hotel as part of a package booked through Andre Rieu Travel. The package was for dinner at the hotel and then travel to and from the concert. The hotel staff were brilliant considering there were hundreds of people there to be booked through, issued with travel vouchers etc. Our buffet dinner was delicious . There were various "amuse bouche" then a choice of soups or a variety of salads, pates, various fish-smoked,unsmoked or pickled, cold meats, cheeses. For our main we had steak ,sate chicken, sea bass ,all cooked to order with a variety of vegetables, potatoes, rices, salad. Also on offer were stir fries ,pizzas, again all cooked fresh to order. There were other kinds of meat and fish also available. Desserts were a variety of mousse cakes, mousses, fresh fruit salad, various flavours of ice cream. We finished with coffees and Port. The bottles of port were placed for diners to help themselves. After the concert hotel staff met us at a meeting point and made sure everyone got safely back to the hotel and they made sure the very young and the infirm and elderly went back on the first buses while staff went around those waiting with bowls of sweets. Back at the hotel the dining room was open for drinks and snacks and reception booked our taxi for us back to our B&B in Laneken. The food was delicious, fresh and plentiful, the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.Could not have asked for better.
Stayed for 3 nights. The rooms are big and bright. Calm and quiet in the night (though it is next to busy road). Co operative staff. Excellent breakfast. This hotel is away from city centre and not connected well by public transport. If you have a car then this is the best option. Recommend for business trips .
I attended our yearly Science conference and as always I stayed at the Van der Valk. The staff were exceptional (professional and friendly) and this year with the road construction completed, the view from the hotel was much nicer. One thing to note is that the food is amazing at the hotel, where though you can find very nice food in town, I never hesitate to eat in thier very nice restaurant.
