We enjoyed our short break at this Hotel. The location is out of the town, but the centre is accessible by bus or a40 minute walk. The park opposite is very popular with runners and families, it is a a pleasant way to walk to town. There are local restaurants - pizza and burgers close by. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms seem new and are of a high standard. I would not recommend paying the extra cost of the Executive Lounge. As previous reviewers have commented, the evening drinks consists of someone leaving a bottle of red, white and rose wine. (on one occasion there was no red) No-one returns during the two hours that the drinks are available to take away used glasses or to see if more drink is wanted. There are no beers or spirits. Breakfast - again no-one comes in to take away used plates so when we arrived at 9.00 it was messy and the food was completely dried out. I would suggest that instead of an executive room you pay for breakfast, which is served downstairs in a pleasant atmosphere. We would definitely return to this hotel again, but would not book an executive room

the location is excellent with plenty of bars and restaurants ,every member of staff gave great service and all spoke excellent english which a big help if your french is not very good ,the hotel was spotless and modern ,beds very comfy and had everything in the room, the only down side is the restaurant is not open due to demand over the weekend ,i think a better bar snack menu would be the icing on the cake .

We stayed here for 2 nights while on our way to Val Thorens. This looks like newly built or well maintained property. The bus stop is within 100m. Breakfast was good and the staffs as well. It was during the Christmas time so few people were on duty but they were helpful. The restaurant was closed for dinner so we had to order room service but they allowed us to have the food at the bar. It was child friendly too. Overall we had a pleasant stay.

The venue is located back to back to the huge city park (Parc de la tête d'or) with its lake and zoo (free access) and facing the Rhone river, offering stunning views on Lyon, its hills and the park. It is not central but so pleasant, that you can't deny the advantages of the location, the bus stop behind the hotel allows you to get in the center within 15 / 20mns depending where you get off. The museum of modern art is the building next door and there are plenty small French bistrot's in the gallery on street level. Reception team was outstandingly professional and friendly, a quiet zone room was ready upon arrival and we were upgraded to a club room facing the park (620). The room was about 24sqm, about 3 to 4 years old. It had a sitting corner with 2 armchairs and a table in addition of the office desk and chair. Bathroom was modern and large, with a tub, and amenities of quality, 2 bathrobes and thick slippers. A large closet, with an espresso machine inside, complement the entrance and the luggage rack. Room and bathroom were spotless clean and quiet. We had a view on Lyon city skyline and Fourviere hill with its Basilica and the city park at our feet. Internet was free of charge and worked very well. On the 8th floor there's a nice lounge, with food and drinks throughout the day and evening, and breakfast in the morning. However once the food is set up, the service tend to be scarce. For runners like me, this hotel is the perfect spot. You can run along the river banks or in the park, 0 cars around. Only con is the parking, there's no real unloading zone in front of the hotel, to temporarily park for proper check in, and the underground parking doesn't belong to the hotel: you can't get a multiple entry ticket for a fixed price. But if you leave your car till you go the next day, the venue has a 15 euros flat rate for 24hrs. We parked and entered a couple times and ended up paying 20euros. We paid 85€ for the Saturday night (one week before), it was worth every penny. This hotel embody what a crowne plazza should be, and does it very well. It is worth staying out of the old town in this venue. We loved it! Nb: rooms in even numbers face the park, and odd numbers face the river (and the boulevard that reach the hotel, but seems quiet at night).

Check in was speedy and courteous. Staff were generally polite and helpful. Our room was on the 6th floor overlooking the Rhone river. Room layout was all right although we’d prefer the work desk to be placed in the corner instead of right in the front of bed with the chair being the way. More storage space is also needed in the room and bathroom for miscellaneous items like handbags, toiletries etc. Housekeeping was efficient and thorough. Breakfast spread was not the best. Definitely needs more variety. Hotel location is ideal if you are traveling on business within proximity of the Congress center. The city center is about 3 KM away which is still doable by Uber/taxi. The plus side of the location is that the park is just a minute away. So if you have business in the area, this hotel serves the purpose.

This is one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in. Ever. Everything about it, from the layout of the rooms, to the reception and dining staff, everything about this place can be summarized by two words: caring and thoughtful. It is the only hotel I've seen that cares enough to offer natural sleeping aids in the room (they actually work). And the room was super quiet and clean. If you walk, the center of town is a short half hour, but there are buses in front of the hotel that will take you there in 10 minutes. In the other direction, on Sundays, a massive antique market about a 45 minute walk -- also lots of fun. This is the place to stay in Lyon. So glad to have found them!

Stayed here on a recent business trip and had a great experience. Superb location (ask for room overlooking the Rhone) and facilities were excellent. Ate in the hotel restaurant due to time constraints and selection and quality of food was very good for a hotel restaurant. Great location for visiting the beautiful city of Lyon. Friendly, helpful staff will help your experience.

I stayed there for a week in a Business Trip. The hotel is really nice, the beds are amazing and the staff is super friendly. Breakfast is good, you have to pay extra for it but they'll charge it to your room. Lot's of good options. Rooms are really comfortable and Beds are amazing! I had a really nice sleep. If you're getting a room you have two options with a view to the city and the river (Which I recommend) or with a view to the Park. The biggest downside of the hotel is that the Gym is not up to the quality of the rest of the amenities, but you have a huge park to go for a run.

We came to stay at Lyon for 3 nights on our way to Paris. Convenient location with 10 mins from train station and 2 mins walks to bus stop. Hotel has no parking, u have to pay for parking 2 euro per hr or u can buy daily one stop pass for 15 euro per day. Be very very careful about the P2 parking entrances, so narrow, lots of vehicle scratch their passenger side of car against the bar on the right. The bar is below drivers visible area, so be careful if u use this parking structure. Unfortunately, most of restaurants are closed due to Xmas holidays. Didn’t plan ahead for Lyon, then “Dong” the front receptionist gave us the best of best local information to tour around the city, old town the church, art museum, best dine in town. I would definitely recommend this hotel/ Dong to others travelers!

We visited Lyon for the first time and stayed at the Hotel Crowne Plaza. It is a very modern hotel in an upscale complex. Our room was very clean and attractive with a view of the courtyard. Staff members were very attentive and assisted us with our questions at the desk. We traveled from the hotel to Lyon downtown by bus which we were able to catch just to the rear of the property. The buses run regularly. There are several restaurants in the complex as well as one inside the hotel itself.
