The hotel is in a beautiful old building and is centrally situated. BUT being just next to train station it is rather impossible to have a quite night. The room was very small and when I complained there was no better room to change. The next day I had an excuse message in my room saying that I could change for the 2nd day. Unfortunately I did not make it and regretted it a lot since in the room there was a terrible cigarette smell.
Very quiet room. Very clean. Helpful staff. Value of money! The situation was very good, because of the tramway, train station etc. Excellent breakfast, good restaurant. The atmosphire was friendly. The indoor decorations were nice. But first of all the staff was superb!
I’ve been really disappointed by my one night stay in this hotel. First it was freezing in the room so they came to fix it. Then the shower in the room did not work properly, the toilets made noise all night. The wallpaper was getting of the wall. The room was really but really small and very dark even in a sunny day. They refund me 10% on my bill in the morning after my claim but I’ve been really surprised that Accor let such hotel in their standards.
Me and three friends used this hotel as our base when watching a Europa league game against Lyon. Ideal location for the square where the away fans gather. Nice clean and tidy hotel with friendly and courteous staff. Our rooms where located on the fifth floor, so noise wasn't a problem to us. We got a car park space in their very safe and secure garage. The only downside was the price of drinks in the hotel bar which was 9 euros for a beer.
This lovely hotel is located in a great location-five minutes from train station. The Staff are very helpful and professional. The bedroom was clean and spacious. Didn't have breakfast in hotel but lots of cafes/ bakeries close-by. Lovely atmospheric hotel.
I have just spent a very enjoyable girlie weekend in this fabulous hotel. The minute my friend and I arrived, we were greeted by Geoffroy who spoke excellent English and made us feel at home immediately. He gave us excellent local information and suggested local restaurants that we could visit .He also told us about the open top tourist bus and we found that it was an enjoyable way to see picturesque Lyon. The hotel is in a good location right next to Perrache train and bus station. The superior room was very spacious and comfortable. Bathroom was large. The tea in the room was the best that I have ever tasted. There was a variety of teas and coffee available. The bar has a good selection of wines , cocktails , spirits and beers. Hotel is within walking distance of some beautiful restaurants.Ivwould definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to anyone visiting Lyon.
The hotel Chateau Perrache is located in the center of Lyon, at 5 minutes from the trian station Perrache. The service was really of top quality while the room was really average: Not refreshed since a while and I dodn't get any hot water in the morning. At reception desk, they appologized and offered me the breakfast in compensation which was appreciated. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The staff was very efficent, friendly and professional.
Checked in room no 522 which was corner room with limited view. I was in transit to catch flight next early morning so did not opt for breakfast. Front desk was attended by a single staff and 4 guests were already before me ,so took 30 minutes to finish the formalities. This hotel is 10 minutes walk to city center. A strict business hotel.
In a world of wonderful hotels there is simply no reason to stay here. It's location is terrible, lost on an island between the motorway and the main line station you have your choice of noise. The beds are the worst I have ever slept on, hard hard hard. You have to completely slam the bathroom door to shut it. And mainly being tourists its located too far south. Being nearer the old town has much more style and character.
Shower old fashioned; no bath tub; linen had spots, room service not available each day, carpets outdated. Hotel receptionists extremely friendly. Hotel computer for use had no printer. Bartender was often in disappearance.. Overall cleanliness in hotel.
