10-15 minutes walk from the center this looks like a business hotel with nice lobby and good restaurant. It is not the super hotel but for its price it’s very good. Rooms are clean and have decent space, some of them look at the radisson blue hotel tower in Part Dieu and its location is between the train station and the city, more close to the city. If you don’t have luggage the train station is on walking distance (15 minutes walk) but with luggage probably you need a taxi which costs around 15 euros or even bit less. breakfast is nice with the expected options for this kind of hotel and the dinner the same, very good Overall for its price and if you look for a business hotel I would definitely recommend it. A tip: when I first got a room in the first floor the view was really bad looking at the entrance of the hotel on the road, but when I asked for a higher floor room, I got one on the fifth and although by any means great,it was decent

Nice hotel in a good position in relation to the main railway station and the attractions/old town. Good breakfast selection. Its good that there are tea/coffee making facilities in the room however, the maid was a bit mean with regards non replenishing the tea bags and milk. Also were swamped with body lotion but no shampoo so, more attention to detail from the maid. Overall we enjoyed our 4 night stay in Lyon at this hotel.

Nice hotel Friendly service But hard to find parking nearby. We tried to unload luggage near the hotel but unable to do so as it was busy. We ended up parking 300m away 1km to city centre We didn’t take food from here. As we love to experience french food on street

A good location for us as it is very close (5-minute walk) to the Prefecture. Check-in was easy, and we used the valet parking service for our car at Eur 23 per night. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and we had a good night's sleep. We had a surprisingly nice (and very convenient) dinner meal at the hotel's in-house restaurant, Le Garage Restaurant. Breakfast was also nice with a reasonably good choice. Free wi-fi worked well. Staff were friendly Overall, very good for our needs.

I liked this hotel very much , and really recommend it to Lyon's visitors . The room was superb , very comfortable , spacious , cozy decoration and lighting . Common hotel areas are very neat and very well kept regarding cleanness and maintenance. The breakfast food was excellent and delicious with lots of varieties . The only issue I want to know is the reason why the taxi rate from this hotel to Lyon's airport was much higher (Almost 79 Euros) , compared to the taxi rate I paid from Lyon's airport to this hotel (Mercure Lyon Centre Saxe Lafayette) only 55 Euros ??? A gentleman at this hotel reception called Mr. Thomas booked me this taxi reservation to Lyon's airport (Yesterday November 18th, 2017) , and he remarked us that it was very difficult to make a taxi reservation for sunday morning itself (November 19th, 2017).

Booked the hotel and couldn't travel - they would not let me cancel 1 month before, they made 450 euros from me and also rebooked the room to make more money on top. Absolute rip off charlatans. Never stay with this group again. Be careful because they will rip you off if they get the chance. Not flexible or accommodating, poor business practice. "Manager" on the phone was very abrupt and dismissive, downright rude.

We were friendly welcomed by the reception. The staff parked our car but per night it cost about EUR 24.00. However, the hotel itself is very clean, the beds were comfortable and there is a spa with a gym.

My friend and I stayed here for a weekend break... we needed somewhere within walking distance of the train station but in a safe area and close to the main part of the city. Very happy with our choice. The area was more of a business area and so at the weekend there wasn’t much around or open - not really any bars or restaurants (that we noticed anyway)... however it was only a short walk to the river, and from there on, there’s more choice... cross the second river and head for the old town though is my advice. Quick check in and room was comfortable and clean. The room sizes did seem to vary - mine much more spacious than my friend’s room. Very quiet room, air con or heating and a mini fridge with one bottle of free Evian - only on one day though. Good shower (waterfall one) and plenty of hot water. Ok hairdryer but no iron - maybe have to ask. Good breakfast buffet. Attentive staff and although it got busy, we didn’t have to queue - although I did notice a couple of people having to wait a short time. All in all, a good hotel that I would recommend!

We had to be at the Prefecture de Rhone at 08.30 and this Mercure is just 5 minutes’ walk away so we went the night before. Cars in the rush hour in Lyon are a waste of time. This hotel is also very well situated in general for Lyon being walking distance to the Main Part Dieu railway station and the business district and it was clearly being well used for meetings. The refurbished room was perfect for us as older people with need for good space, twin beds and a walk in shower. The two double beds were very comfortable. The flexible room rate of 160 EUR with two breakfasts is excellent value for Lyon. It's a bit cheaper if you're prepared to pay a non-refundable rate but I don't see the point at this level. The concierge took the car off to the private car park which cost us 24 EUR for the night. The breakfast was excellent. We didn't use the sports facilities. Check-in and check-out was very efficient. The only slight downside was a non-smiling girl on reception on arrival at around 15.00. We all have bad days but this is not good and I must say unusual for the Mercure chain in my experience. However we never saw her again and the rest of the staff in reception, in the bar and in the restaurant were helpful in every way.

Nice and good located house close to the centre of Lyon. The rooms are clean, new, with air conditioner. WiFi, coffee/tea machine, TV. Nothing missed. The house is quite new or at least in a good condition. For me there were no negative issues to commend. The house is not located in the 1er arrondissement (touristic centre) but you can get there by a few minutes walk just after crossing the Rhône river. (There are the boats with bars and restaurants located as well.) Even when the house is located at a crowded street, the rooms are quiet. They also provide a kind of wellness area. I’ve been not there so no comment about it. Also the breakfast is always very expensive but as usual in France, there are a lot of Cafés and bakeries where you can get everything you need for a breakfast. The stuff is very friendly and professional. Thanks to the good service they provided. Nice place to be, very recommended.
