Conference facilities and support excellent. Jimmy, from the commercial office was superb in his support, both pre- and during conference. Quality of meals poor - the risotto was very stodgy, and left unfinished by many. Bar staff very casual and inattentive; music in bar was far too loud despite requests to turn it down, even when bar empty but for two of us. Room very clean throughout; but occasion omissions from skimty toiletry pack.

The female Receptionist debited immediately my CreditCard during check out. Invoice only was passed to me afterwards upon my request. I was charged 40 Euros too much. I asked for her Supervisor. Young girl appeared. Claire. Neither comments nor excuses from her site. Guests should be careful. Cars are taken by hotel staff to garage. Steering wheel, seat, aircon and some technical devices were changed upon return. Car was put in the middle of the street, blocking a lane.

I was in Lyon for business. The Mercure was the perfect place to stay for this trip. The hotel is clean and the rooms are comfortable. There is a restaurant located at the hotel which provides a nice buffet breakfast and a wide variety of selections for dinner. The staff were all incredibly helpful - especially given my limited ability to speak French. In addition the location was convenient to my office as well as some tourist sites.

The room was clean, quiet, and spacious. Everything is within walking distance. Next time in Lyon I'd look for something closer to the old town, but if I couldn't find anything I would definitely return here.

This hotel is about a 15 minute walk towards the rivers from the Part Dieu train station. It's been renovated recently, the rooms are spacious and clean, and there's even a (tiny) pool and a gym. The kids enjoyed the pool. We had a two night stay and found the location perfect for exploring the city; Vieux Lyon was about a 30 minute walk from there. Breakfast was excellent and included in our stay - full buffet of hot and cold choices, tea/coffee/juices.

Enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Rooms are comfortable with all expected amenities. Interesting decor and very good breakfast. It's not central to old town Lyon, but only about a five minute walk to the river, and we were delighted with the vibrant river front.

Having used this hotel for business many times I decided to use it for a personal visit to Lyon, the hotel and staff have been consistently good though out my visits, rooms are clean, quite and a good size. The restaurant offers a good breakfast and evening meals if you are eating in. The location is great with a short walk to the railway station and may bistros etc to the east and to the west is the river Rhone with great walks and numerous attractions.

Everything was amazing till we get to the check out the 23/ 07/2007at 11:50. We had an amazing Breakfast ,lovely room. The big problem was Claire Monsorret. As a from house manager she is not capable enough to do her job properly as we had to wait for the car 45 min. She said its an human error. Hello! We been sitting in front of her all the time while waiting for the car. My question here is ; How did she even get to her position as a manager? When she even suggested WE should had to remind her about the car??? She even refute to give the complaint book.

Stayed 3 nights at the Mercure Saxe with a room street facing. The room was pretty nice, though the bathroom felt a bit small. At night, the noise coming from outside was a bit loud but never lasted very late. At the desk, the staff was always very helpful and friendly. Wifi worked nicely everywhere I went.

Good hotel, clean and spacious rooms. Fast check in and out. Friendly staff. Has a small fitness center and very small pool. Close to bus station. Walking distance from Part Dieu metro station 15-20 min. Walking distance to old town 20-30 minutes. Breakfast was good. Area is quite, there is a near by U express. Location to attractions isn't the best but if you like walking not bad. Also there is bus station very close.
