This is a beautiful room in a historical home near Old Lyon. Sylvie make a wonderful local breakfast each morning and is happy to recommend fun things to do each day if you’re curious. Sylvie also booked a car to the airport on the final day so there was no stress. Great experience!

The hosts are a most charming couple and they went out of their way to make us feel welcome. They helped with our luggage which was a godsend for two eighty year old travelers.

A real treasure in Lyon

We stayed with Sylvie for two nights as part of our trip across France. Of the many hotels we stayed in, none of them exceeded the service and hospitality that we got from Chez Sylvie. The host, Sylvie, goes above and beyond to make her guests comfortable and to ensure they enjoy their time in Lyon. Even when my partner and I had to wake up extra early to catch our train, Sylvie didn't hesitate to also wake up early and make sure we left with our bellies full with a good breakfast. And the view from her suite? Unmatched in all of Lyon. We would definitely stay with her again if we find ourselves in Lyon. We recommend her without hesitation. Merci, Sylvie!

Our stay was wonderful. Host Sylvie is an absolute gem. Very attentive and helpful. Wonderful breakfast and we loved conversing with her in broken english and google translate. Not good if you dont like steps or steep streets.

Great location in historic neighborhood. Easy access to everywhere. Sylvie is amazing host. We contacted her about late arriving and received very nice welcoming at 11 pm. She served unbelievable breakfast every morning on time which was convenient for us. She answered all our questions and gave us a lot of information about restaurants, shopping etc. The room is clean and filled with all things that you need to feel comfortable. She arranged taxi to airport and served early breakfast on our departure day. Great feeling and appreciation! Thank you Sylvia😊👍

A wonderful stay and a wonderful host! An old mid-1600 building in thre old city. Wonderful restaurants near by. Owner makes a different breakfast each day and her food was excellent. One draw back, it is not for people who have trouble walking hp stairs, there are plenty. Plus, the taxi drops you off at the bottom of the hill and a short stteo walk to it.

We loved Sylvie. She was wonderful. She was so full of happiness and joy, it just radiated out of her. Her unit was exactly the experience we wanted. It was old Lyon with all of itscharacter, but with midern comforts. Getring to her hotel required a bit of uphill walking and so was it to our room. So for people that have limited mobility it may not be for you. Her breakfasts were great and each day she stayed and visited with us. When we travel we looks for opportunities to connect with locals and we got that with Sylvia. She also went out of her way to help me. I had lost my wallet in Avignon and it had been found and i had it mailed to her hotel. The post would not deluver it without me signing for it and took it back to main post office. Sylvia drove me to post office and went inside to help me get it. Without her I would not have been successful in retrieving it. She volunteered and did that without me asking. I can't say enough about our stay.

Sylvie, the most gracious hostess.

Sylvie is an amazing hostess. She prepared wonderful French/Lyonnaise style breakfasts and was very helpful providing information to this first time visitor to Lyon. Sylvie was welcoming and helpful, even lending me a coat when it rained. The location on a quiet side street in the old city is ideal. Plus, if you walk uphill then you will soon reach the Roman theater and museum. Altogether a memorable weekend in Lyon!

Comfortable accommodation in 'Le Vieux Lyon'

I loved this B&B, which is in an interesting old house, well situated in 'Le Vieux Lyon'. The room was very comfortable and well equipped and it was very quiet. Sylvie and her husband are very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast is served in their lovely kitchen/ dining room. There are lots of good restaurants close by. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Sylvie was so kind. I am a younger woman on a business trip from the US. I was like staying at home if my mom was French. Every amenity I needed and more. She made me a beautiful breakfast in the mornings. Small details such as a hidden coffee closet or giving restaurant suggestions wasn’t missed. The place was full of Lyon charm. If I come back to France I will stay again.
