We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were helpful and courteous at all times. We were upgraded to a larger apartment which was spacious and extremely clean. Sheets changed regularly and room cleaned. A few minutes walk from the station and all public transport made our stay stress free and happy.
This is an apartment hotel with a separate kitchen facility. Certainly a good choice if you intend to stay longer in Lyon. Not a modern hotel to any standard. Difficult to find electric sockets in the room. Probably they did not build too many in the rooms in France at he time when this hotel was built. The breakfast is decent. Good location the vicinity of the Part Dieu railway station. Price / Quality ratio is good.
This hotel located very close to Gare Part Dieu. I was there 3 or 4 times, all the time I spent good time there. Stuff is very kind and they all the time can give an information about city ! It's very clean hotel, nice private kitchen in your studio) I am happy to stay there:) thank you ResidHotel)
Very nice appart`hotel location with room quite large, good amenities, staff very friendly, wifi is free. Breakfast cost is acceptable compared to others around. Only one remark: ask for a room not on Vivier Merle boulevard as the vindow is not good quality enough to reduce the noice.
I stayed in the Residhotel for 2 nights in the room 601. The receptionist charged me 18€ more as supposed at the check-in. When I showed her my booking in the app in my phone, she apologised and changed the receipt. She gave me keycard with scratched number 602 so I went to the room and after 5 minutes of trying to get to the room an older man came from the room. That was an unpleasant surprise. So I went to the reception again and she apologised again. Wifi codes obtained were not working for me. Printing my boarding pass was also impossible because she couldn't open PDF files. On the other hand location fine. Room spacious. Breakfast fine. The room was noisy from the Main Street and I heard trains also.
The room was a bit old and it was medium-small size. The facilities of the bathroom were not good. There was some noise from some machine close to my room The breakfast is normal, just a few things but with good quality. Very expensive hotel for the services offered
This is not a palace, but you probably already gathered that. Instead it's a perfectly serviceable hotel in a good location, not a long walk from the Part-Dieu train station. No problems, good front desk staff, rooms are dated but clean. If you need a place in Lyon and you're not looking for upscale, you could certainly do worse.
We stayed here two nights because it was the cheapest hotel we could book into. The staff were great and could speak English well. The secure parking is handy but costs 9€ a day, just something to be aware of. The room itself is oddly built. It has a giant space for just the toilet and a newly renovated bathroom in another room, then you come around into the tiniest kitchenette I've ever seen. They have managed to fit a single bed and a fold out couch in the space which was good for three of us. There is also a double bed in another room. While the sheets seemed clean enough, my single bed only had a bottom sheet and a scratchy blanket on it, the fold out only had a sheet, with a doona stored away in the cupboard, and the pillows were missing pillow cases. The tables were filthy. There were sticky cup rings from soft drinks and what appeared to be toothpaste which I cleaned up. The dishes in the kitchenette were grubby and had to be washed before use. Considering there's a 45€ charge for getting the dishes washed for you, they need to be checked between each visit! For the 202€ price tag, I was expecting a bit more, considering some of the cheaper places I've stayed in over this trip and enjoyed. It certainly has potential to be more enjoyable, especially if the renovations are continued. One other negative before I sum up with some positives, the aircon didn't work. On the positive side, it's well located to the city centre and there is a hire bike located right around the corner.
Me and my friends stayed at this property for one night on the 6/7/16. We had chosen this hotel because of the location close to the station and we were getting on a train the next morning to Paris. We arrived firstly at around 12:30 pm, was tired from travelling early and wanted to check in and have a shower and to get back out to meet friends before the Wales v Portugal game. There wasn't much organisation, the receptionist said she 'thinks' a room could be ready, she then radioed the maid, who didn't reply so she just said the room isn't ready. She didn't try and see for herself and she said check in wasn't until 2pm to come back then. This lady has glasses and curly hair. We went for something to eat and come back by around 1:45. We waited for around 20 minutes and then they gave us a room on the 7th floor which wasn't ready when we got up there, bed wasn't mad, towels all over the floor. Then had to wait another 5 minutes for the slow lift to come and get us to go back down stairs. We was then given room 208 which looked into a courtyard. Have to say the room was moderately clean, there was a big smell of damp through the corridors. The room reminded me of something from the 1950's. Furniture old and cheap looking, very worn and tired looking room. The air con worked but wasn't any good, didn't blow cold air enough for it to affect the room. There was three of us in a room, one in a double and two on the pull out sofa bed, the one bed wasn't a sofa bed, it's was more like a bed-couch, and the main pull out sofa bed was broken, which didn't give my friend a comfortable nights sleep. The wood on the bath had eroded, and there was a massive hole, there was a small kitchen area with a big work top put in the middle of the room. Wouldn't come back if I was paid to. The hotel needs some good management, a makeover on the rooms and more staff such as maids. The maids looked tired and over worked. There was one maid per floor by the looks of what we had seen.
When leaving it late to book a room, when Europe has descended on the area for a football tournament, expectation levels need to be set accordingly. Surprised to see a cheap room close to Part Dieu station, I wasn't sure what to expect, even less so, when train delays meant I didn't arrive until 0100. The room I stayed in was on third floor, opposite the lift and had a kitchenette, TV, bath and shower, The double bed was comfortable and there was no problem cooling the room on a sticky night. In the entrance, there are vending machines and although I didn't use it, breakfast can be bought and taken at the hotel. I found the reception staff pleasant and efficient and the proximity to Part Dieu station a bonus with a 0550 train to catch on a Sunday morning. With a Premiere Class next door, booked out for these nights, you have budget options, If you just need somewhere to lay your head that is cheap, simple, yet decent, I'd recommend this place and would certainly stay agsin
