My husband and I stayed in a ground level room 2 nights. The sheets and sink were clean, but that was it. The toilet hadn't been scrubbed in weeks, the tops of high items in the room, like the mirror and headboards, were covered with dust and cobwebs, as were the lampshades. There were dead flies on the sink and iron burn marks on the worn carpet. The room needs a new coat of paint. The second night a group of young men were above us and we ran the fan on the A/C all night to mask the noise. An old white car with multiple flat tires and covered in mold and mildew was parked in a spot in front right in the middle. Don't stay here unless you're desperate.

Please find another place to stay very very nasty the mrg Was very rude that why they want ur credit card before u check in because they know they r nasty bathroom omg the beds smell real bad so plz find another place to stay

This is a dirty, moldy, nasty hotel. The heater rattled and keep us awake until we finally turned it off. Mold in the bathroom let us know its never cleaned. The owners may be from a third world county but the guests are not. Louisville has limited hotel room so there's not many options. I would avoid the Home Gate Inn if at all possible.

Stayed here for a MS State game, wish we'd have looked harder for another place. It's close to campus, there is ample parking and the price is cheap - only positives. Beds uncomfortable, room not especially clean, and felt a little nervous about my vehicle in the lot.

Owner is rude, the lobby has an Odor, actually all the hotel has an odor. There is no decor, I was very diss appointed, I have stayed in a lot of hotels, 204 nights a year and this has been my worst so far.

Not worth the price!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Manager at the front desk was nice, but the room smells bad and the bathroom toliet and the bathtub was dirty and the refrigerator was not clean, also the beds were not at all comfortable. For the the next family visit I think I'll try the other hotel across the highway I hope it's has better service.

We arrived about 10 pm and had to ring the office door bell. Upon arriving in our room, the tv did not work. We called them and after a lengthy wait, they left us with a new flat screen tv instead. Rooms were NOT as nice as pictured on the internet. Beds not so comfy, but for the low price, it served our one night purpose I guess. I probably would not return. We did not do the breakfast, but the area did NOT look like what is pictured for this property.

This motel is very pleasant and roomy. Even though the number of cars in the parking lot indicated the place was full, I never heard any of the other guests. I had to leave at 5 am, so I missed out on the breakfast, but I did notice at check-in that there was a separate room for eating breakfast, as opposed to some places I've stayed where you eat in the lobby. Everything in the room itself was in good working order--the cute little one-cup coffeemaker (ideal for a single person), the microwave, the refrigerator. The lighting in the room was excellent--not glaringly bright, but sufficient enough for reading and doing paperwork. There were plenty of hangers for clothing, an iron and ironing board, and a hairdryer. I was surprised at the number of electrical outlets--on the wall on both sides of the bed, on the lamps on both sides of the bed, and by the sink. The bed and pillows were both softer than I care for, and there was no alarm clock or ashtrays (it was a smoking room), but those were the only downsides. I would definitely stay there again if I were to be in the area.

This is such a nice place to stay. The new management has done a wonderful job. It has recently been renovated and feels like home! The staff are accomodating and very personable. It is also a very quiet place. I will continue to stay here while in Louisville!

Stayed this past weekend, the rooms were clean and neat. No problems with check-in or check-out. Great value. We'll be back.
