Stayed 06/07/2017 as a 15K point reward night. Hotel is a bit older and although several miles from the main highway, it is on a busy road tucked away in a sea of restaurants. A Ruby Tuesdays is directly in front of the hotel with others nearby. Parking appears to be a bit challenging after 6p. Our check in was great by a friendly, helpful and professional staff member. The lobby is not oversized and appears smaller due to dark walls and tile. Breakfast area is just off the lobby. There are two swift and quiet elevators near the front desk. Hallways are typical with unstained carpet and good lighting. Our room was large with a single window overlooking the pool. Carpets were dark, clean and unstained. HVAC was digitally controlled by a wall mounted unit. There was a larger than normal fridge and microwave placed in an amour. Wi-Fi access was very good. An average sized TV had plenty of Direct TV channels and fast switching. Our two queen beds were comfortable with 4 pillows each and clean linen. The average size bathroom had a few spots that need some TLC but otherwise ok. Water pressure was fine and towels were clean and fresh. We would stay here again.
The hotel was very nice and clean, and the breakfast was great with lots of selections to choose from. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was adequate and safe. Checkout was fast and easy.
Its time to find another hotel in Starkville. This Holiday Inn needs a major remodel. Bathroom sink in peeling and coming apart. Bed was TERRIBE, LUMPY and NOISEY. I have stayed here many times but its time to move on. Cross it off your list in Starkville.
This hotel is clean, modern and has great wifi. Located near MSU campus with lots of restaurants and shopping close by. There's actually 2 restaurants in the parking lot in front! One is Ruby Tuesday and the other is a fast food with drive through that was packed!
The family and I went down for a weekend, clean rooms friendly staff, and awesome breakfast. The beds were so comfy. Breakfast is had such a variety, I don't think anyone had the same thing, oh except the pancakes. The pancake machine FYI 1 press equals 2 pancakes. Yummo. The hotel is right on the strip in walking distance of restaurants and fast food in walking distance, which was good for 1 meal, but my aunt and uncle feed us good.
I booked a suite at the Holiday Inn Express in Starkville. The room was not a suite. I think it was called a suite because it had a mini-fridge and a microwave. When I complained that it wasn't a suite the desk clerk said it was. I didn't argue but checked out the next day, The bathtub was also so shallow that my head couldn't be completely underwater. I wouldn't recommend it. It's hard to find and difficult to get into and out of the driveway.
A typical Holiday Inn. A little difficult to find. It is behind Ruby Tuesday Clean and great staff. Room was roomy but try to get one in the back away from the street Breakfast room didn't have enough seating especially at tables To use a little milk I had to open an entire small bottle
This was my second time staying at this hotel. The staff is friendly and breakfast is good. Hotel is up to date. Room was free of odor and for the most part clean. Hotel is on the main strip and close proximity to restaurants.
When I went to book this hotel I could choose between standard room or king room. I chose standard bc I was traveling with kids and needed more than one bed. I called to confirm my room and was told the standard room I got was a king bed. I told them what the site said about king/standard rooms and they they claimed the website wasn't "theirs"? Huh? I was told I was going to have to pay $30 more for 2 beds. Not doing that, so I just found a different hotel. I feel as though the site was VERY misleading. When talking to the manager she was very rude and unaccommodating. Bad experience, wouldn't recommend
This whole customer service experience started after I made my reservation on the IHG app. I called shortly after to ask for a room upgrade, Madison at front desk answer the phone and did just there with no hesitation, great attitude, made me feel important. Upon arrival Michelle and Madison continue the great service. My room was upgraded very clean hotel, rooms are very comfy, spacious, Definitely recommend ths Hotel. Felipe, Spire Elite member.
