The Hotel or should I say Motel was "ok" as it was a last minute reservation, I expected a nicer cleaner and more comfortable room for the booking price, been next to USC and close to the Staples Center I expected a nicer room, the Breakfast consist of bagels, donuts, cereal, coffee and OJ, not your typical American Breakfast, the cleanliness of the room will go with what is expected on Motels, visible mold in the shower wall, carpets very dirty, "DO NOT' sit in the chairs or couches without prior checking for fresh stains (if you know what I mean) I was surprised to find very visible "round" stains in the desk chair, the Air Conditioning unit, I had to clime on a table to be able to operate the A.C as when I entered the room (on June) it was at least 90degrees, and do not think you will be able to just plugged in your USB electronics as their is "no" USB connections around the room and most of the wall electric units are already filled with lamps, radio and TV, as I said before the room was ok as a last minute necessary but definitely I will not be returning in the future to spend a weekend with my family.

Great and friendly staff. Room needed some repairs but maintenance staff was quick to fix. Bed wasn't comfortable at all, very hard. Overall we were happy with hotel. It was very close to USC and that's all that mattered. I would definitely stay again.

Stayed here while reviewing colleges to attend. Outstanding location within walking distance to the campus and along a street with many eating establishments.

Everyone was nice and helpful. Easy stay. Very easy from the airport. No frills.

Room was clean, and seemed to have been renovated within the last few years. The neighborhood itself was occasionally noisy at night (I was there over a weekend during the school year), and the wifi was a bit slow. The blanket was a bit on the thin side, so I had to use the heater. Overall, a reasonable stay, and much less expensive than saying at one of the hotels closer to the convention center (the location I was in town for).

Good location, comfortable room, friendly staff, adequate free breakfast all at a very reasonable price.

Seriously, by morning, I felt like I'd been drawn across a plank for seven hours. Ouch!

The room smelled musty and was intolerably loud. There is alot of late night activity and the hotel is located on a loud busy street.

Was very surprised to find this hotel is really a motel with room doors opening into the parking lot. Room was clean and comfortable but bathroom could use updating.

Stayed for 1 night and found it perfect for the price and location. The room was comfortable and clean. Though, their continental breakfast was not as good as I expected. The location is perfect. There were no problems with the room, parking, staff and other things. So, I'd stay here again next time.

It was an excellent price, nice room, excellent deal. Super close to USC.

The service at the front desk was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable.

I stayed at this hotel because it was within the walking distance to the USC campus. When I first checked into the room, there was a huge cricket jumping around the room. I was not happy but I just didn't bother telling the staff about it. When I went inside the bathroom, there was a centipe looking bug crawling down the wall. Additionally, the window screen was broken and there was no wireless internet. If you are traveling alone and looking for a cheap place to stay at, this place should be bearable. However, if you're traveling with your family or children, go find another place.

I needed to find a cheap hotel for a USC interview. Compared the prices between the Radisson and Vagabond, and decided that it'd be only for one night. Decided to stay at the Vagabond. The room was surprisingly cleaner than I expected. The safe was pretty unfriendly. Hated the fact that there is no internet or wifi in the rooms.

I stayed there for Siggraph 2010. It was a 20 minute walk from the Convention Center, 15 minutes from the Metro Grand Station, and 10 minutes to the USC Campus (Natural History Museum).

Best value for money if you're a USC family. Just a block away from the campus, surrounded by reasonable/cheap restaurants with a great noodles/Thai food restaurant just opened on premises. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. They even allowed us to keep our bags in the office after we checked out so we could finish activities on campus and come back at our leisure. Nice outdoor pool, continental breakfast, and our own fridge, microwave, and coffee maker in our room. Lots of space in our 2 queen bedroom with a dining set overlooking the pool. Only wish they had wi-fi instead of ethernet connection, but it worked great anyway. Would definitely recommend the hotel to any budget traveler.

I used it t o sleep . there is no wireless internet. it is a good motel but expensive a little bit

staff was helpful and friendly.

The front desk staff were not welcoming or informative either during check-in or check-out. The room was up to date and clean. We stayed there for USC Parent's Weekend and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to every event and not worry about trying to park on campus or for the game on Saturday. Several restaurants are also with in a short walking distance. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone attending events at USC.

The staff was friendly and the room was very clean (and the furniture seemed relatively new, at least in my room). It was a bit noisy at night and it's not in the best neighborhood (but it's not awful either). I guess it's pretty basic, but it had everything I needed and I didn't have any issues during my stay. If you need to be near USC (it's just a short walk) and don't want to pay too much, I'd definitely recommend it.
