I had a terrible experience at The Anza Hotel and would not recommend it to anyone. I barely slept during my stay because the noise level throughout the hotel was unbearable. The walls are basically paper-thin. On my first night, the guest next to me was on his phone speaking on speaker for a long time. After I patiently waited about 30 minutes, he finally quieted down — only to start howling loudly around 11:45 PM. I had no choice but to call the front desk, who thankfully moved me to another room.
Unfortunately, the second night was just as bad. The guests above me were jumping and stomping around at 3 AM, making it impossible to sleep. This seems to be a recurring issue because I’m frequently placed in handicap-accessible rooms at hotels, and I’m not sure why this keeps happening — but here it added to the frustration.
While the front desk staff were polite and tried to help, the overall environment, clientele, and noise level were extremely disrespectful and chaotic. I did not get a single decent night of sleep.
I would not stay here again. The staff is kind, but the hotel experience itself was awful.
