Very warm and professional welcome from staff . Food on Friday night excellent . Breakfast food could have been a lot warmer . Music on Saturday night was excellent . Great atmosphere in hotel . Hopefully we will be back

We celebrated our wedding at the Everglades in October 2017 and we literally could not be more delighted with the service both we and our guests received throughout the entire weekend. From the minute we booked our wedding the service we have received has been next to none and on the actual day every member of staff was more than happy to help. For us the stand out staff were JP, Richard and Fionn. The food on the day was outstanding and both the food and service of the Everglades has been the things that our guests have commented on most. We don't think our wedding would have been as memorable without all the staff at the Everglades. Looking forward to our next excuse to visit!!

My wife and I were looking for a night away to recharge the batteries. We had a voucher for the Hastings chain and decided to stay in Derry and experience the nightlife. The receptionist was very nice and helpful, check in was very smooth and quick. On the way to the room a passing member of staff asked if we knew where we were going - very friendly and helpful. The room was on the first floor. It was nice and bright with plenty of space, it was prepared to a high standard we thought. Later we headed into town only 5 min in a taxi, if you are not familiar with the area there are lots of pubs and restaurants to choose from. We got back to the hotel later and had a great restful sleep, no noise from other guests and the road outside was quiet too. The only disappointment we had was breakfast, I had a cooked breakfast but the food was on the cool side, I didn't complain but saw another guest who did. Apart from this one blip the stay was great in a nice luxurious hotel with great staff.

We arrived early for the conference and were impressed by the facilities. The ballroom/conference room was spacious and the entrance area was also generous with tea/coffee provided by the hotel and room for exhibitors and conference reception. Check in at the hotel was at 3pm but the friendly reception arranged early access to the room. Unfortunately the room allocated was not ready but the staff (including cleaners!) quickly swung into action and we were given a new room within minutes. (I think it might also have been a better room!) The room was very comfortable and the bed was excellent. I particularly liked the big, soft pillows. As the weather was bad we stayed in the hotel for dinner. The restaurant had a pleasant ambiance and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was good pub standard and was not overly expensive. Drinks were reasonable and the bar area, with live entertainment, was an enjoyable if unsophisticated place to spend the evening. Breakfast was disappointing. Everything in the hot buffet was a bit dessicated. To be fair we arrived 30 mins before the end of the serving but to be honest that is no excuse for a four star hotel. Advice - keep everything piping hot and serve fresh eggs! Despite the few criticisms, we left relaxed and happy with our stay. Nice people, comfortable hotel complemented by decent food and reasonably-priced drinks. Looking forward to next time!

Staff are brilliant., really helpful and knowledgable. Beds are comfy. The only slight glitch is that the traffic noise can be intrusive at busy times, so ask for a room away from the main road. Lunch is excellent, as is the breakfast. Worth staying at - just in the outskirts of the city, it's a nice walk along the river to the centre, or a taxi ride £4.30.

My mum and sister in law surprised me with an overnight stay in the hotel. On arrival we were greeted by staff and informed that our afternoon tea was ready for us and that they would take out bags to our room. The staff could not do enough for us and even moved us over to a table beside the fire so we would be nice and cosy. Afternoon tea was splendid and again the staff were more than attentive to refill our tea and coffee. After tea we spent a free hours in our room which was comfortable with a big tv and a clean modern bathroom with large separate shower. Dinner was next and was very tasty. I had the monkfish but no room for desert. We then had a few cocktails in the bar. Staff there were friendly and cheery. After a great nights sleep in a big comfy bed we had a buffet breakfast the next morning. While checked out and waiting for our lift home we were approached and offered tea and coffee while we waited. It was quite simply a very luxurious stay and a large part of that is down to the amazing staff who have their customers best interests at heart from check-in to check-out. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Stayed here for five nights and had a great stay. Very comfy beds and clean rooms and the hotel it’s self is a lovely building. The breakfast was free and tasted great as for the evening meals they was reasonably priced for how good they tasted.

My first visit up to Derry and I am so so impressed! Thanks very much Dev for looking after us. Top class team, top class Hotel! Breakfast excellent - local produce and great service! Nothing worse when the staff are grumpy in the morning! This wasn’t the case here! Room clean, spacious and very nice. Library Bar beautiful, lovely to sit over a cocktail! Strawberry daiquiri and berry blast both beautiful! Thanks David. Honourable mention is for Melissa on reception! Very good at your job and I’m sad to hear you are leaving. The rest of the Staff and duty managers are top class (sorry I’m Bad with names but I will get to know them next time I stay!) Thanks again Caelan & Aimee

Enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the food and service was fabulous. Would ask for a quieter room next time as we are not used to traffic noise, but the rooms and the bathrooms were lovely.

We stayed here during a recent trip to the city to experience the now world famous Halloween celebrations. The city did not disappoint! Nor did our choice of accommodation. In The Everglades we found the perfect retreat from the crazy fun of the city centre. The Everglades is located far enough from the city centre for quiet, relaxation and calm (a lovely lunch by the fire while being soothed by easy listening music played by a live pianist) but it’s still close enough for a GOOD walk (2+miles) to where the action is. We plumped for the less energetic option so the receptionist booked a taxi for us and called us when it arrived. The staff here are so, so welcoming, friendly and polite - they seem to genuinely care that you enjoy your stay with them and give the impression that they would go to any length to ensure that you want for nothing. The choice of food & drink is pretty impressive, too. From a satisfying lunch to a more substantial evening meal, it’s nice to see they also strive to promote local produce. Very tasty!! The bedroom was comfortable, well appointed and very clean. We slept soundly - well needed after a hectic evening enjoying the sights and sounds of this magical city. All of the above was at a very competitive price, given the level of quality and luxury we found throughout the hotel. Well done, Everglades, and thank you for a wonderful hotel experience. We WILL see you again...and soon! F & P Morris
