The room needed a good cleaning. The restroom & shower had an odor as if no disinfectant had been used in a while. The sheets were wore out and the linen on one bed was soiled. Overall, it was a typical HI Express. Location off the interstate was good.
They are very unprofessional and very dishonest. They stole a brand new expensive polo outfit out of my room while me and my boyfriend(RedNam Wilson) were out. I reported it to the front desk and they did nothing but ask the housekeeper did she see it and of course she said no. I then went further and reported to guest relations, they did the same thing and attempted to cover for their employees. And stated they did not see or touch it , they may have misplaced and hope to have business from us again. After reporting the stolen items they decided not to clean our room or any of our family members that stayed there rooms either. They said that "their Spanish housekeepers do not steal and that we needed to check with the kids that were with us , they probably stole it" They said they were not going to clean or restore our towels after we made accusations. Worst experience with this establishment. #HolidayInnExpress #stoncrest square #Lithonia,Ga
I spent a couple of nights on the second floor with no issues. The room was clean and spacious. We were warned not to venture out in the evening but we came in around 9pm with no issues. The check in staff and bartender both very friendly.
Room was OK. Staff often hard to find. Breakfast eggs terrible. Location a problem, during a weeks stay 2 murders at the nearby Stonecrest mall. Lost a nights sleep due to marijuana smoke coming into 4th floor room through bathroom vent. Staff promised to investigate. Then that evening returned to room after a long work day and upon opening bathroom door was choking on marijuana smoke again coming through vent. Was moved to a first floor room for remainder of weeks stay. Entire crew was then moved to a new hotel due to multiple complaints including an attempted entry into the room of one female.
If this was our first experience with Holiday Inn Express we WOULD NOT ever return!! Beds uncomfortable and sloped to middle. Coffee was old and bitter. Breakfast finished at 9:30 on a weekend?? Was very sad to have actually set my alarm to get down there, only to experience lackluster food. Had to call several times to ask staff to quiet down a toddler party (literal party in hotel room....)and they didn't appear to solve problem, so we requested to move at 11 pm. Olivia was nice, but rest of staff was a bit unprofessional. One lady was very nice and gave our son Yogurt and a banana, because our food delivery never came. She was the highlight of our stay.
The tripadvisor reviews of this establishment was on spot. Welcomed to a wonderful check in by Terry. Hotel is located by a mall in a row of hotels which i call hotel alley since there is a Hyatt Place, Hilton Garden Inn, Fairfield, and this wonderful establishment, the Holiday Inn Express. The rooms are equipped with plush comfortable bedding that provides a good night's rest, sufficient storage space, a large LG television, comfortable desk and chair, sofa with dining table, and a wonderful bathroom. The hot water is on demand and comes quickly. The housekeeping is on par and does a great job. Jasmine was very friendly and professional with her customer service skills plus the pantry is stacked with drinks and snacks if needed and reasonably priced. Typical H.I. breakfast but this H.I. experience was overall one of the best in line with the Hilton experiences.
Rooms were clean and pretty standard, so no surprises there, but you can’t beat the customer service. Checked in late to a full house, but even after a little hiccup with booking online (not there fault) Terry and the front desk manager fixed it right up. Then, the room assigned didn’t have a pullout sofa, so they quickly got me another room and even met us in the hallway to switch out keys! There is a hospitality promise on the mirror at all Holiday Inns, but this place really meant it! Great job.
Trying to get my son out of the hurricance in FL. Olivia at the front desk today went out of her way to help me with changing something on the booking. She was very friendly and a great help! Thank you Olivia.
Great hotel. Front desk girl very friendly and had a lot of suggestions for us on where to go for dinner. The mall is very close by if you want to go shopping. Room was very nice, beds comfortable. Only complaint that we had was that housekeeping left only one towel ( I got more at the front desk), there was a dirty cleaning rag in our bathroom sink, and the sink was dirty. Breakfast was fresh, hot and attended too.
This hotel was in the middle between the airport and my sister in law home. It is also close to restaurants and the Stonecrest Mall. I like the lay out of the room, I just wish instead of a tub that they had walk in showers for us old folks. This hotel do serve breakfast if you are looking for the waffles like I was they no longer serve waffles they do have a pancake make which dispense two at a time.
