Could not get into the apartment

Our experience was extremely disheartening and frustrating. We arrived at 6:00 in the evening and obtained our key per the instructions. We carried our luggage up three flights of stairs, put the key in the door, and it just wouldn't open. All three of us tried every way we could think of to get the door open, but it wouldn't budge. We communicated with the host for help, but he was unresponsive and incredibly unhelpful. He seemed totally uninterested in resolving our problem. We kept trying to open the door, in the meantime ordering takeout so we could eat on the stairs, until we finally gave up and made hotel arrangements after 2 hours. Egregious behavior by the host to allow this to happen.
