Great location but over priced. cleaning was terrible asking for clean towels everyday and almost not toilet paper had to ask for it twice. Lift not working in some floors.

Construction all day long

First I was charged extra fees on my credit card because only half of the bill was charged in CAD and the other half was charged in EUR at the hotel. Second there was very loud construction all day long starting at 8am until dark a couple meters across from my room window making it impossible to sleep. There was concrete being drilled and steel being cut, etc. All the hotel offered me was another room with a shared bathroom with a complete stranger. Not happy with the stay.

Horrible, we did not have a place for towels,entrance was dirty Garbage on the stairs below,no Elevator I am 81 years old they want me to go to 4th floor they want to charge me 15 euros more very unpleasant reception I was chocked after I complained they gave me a room on second floor after I complained ..very bad For a place but not even a chair or place for a bottle of water or purse.They had to be on the floor no small light bad shower I could not use it.The area is nice but horrible when we getting on entrance is dirty.very bad appearance.dirty stairs garbage can ... no servicê at all

Room was decent for the price and very centrally located. Staff were very helpful, especially with answering questions. My only issue was that the shower took a long time to heat up and when it did heat up it was scalding and when you turned the temperature down just a little bit, it was freezing, there was no in between and the shower screen didn't work well resulting in a very wet bathroom floor! Thankfully there was a bath mat so I didn't slip over.

Se procuram um sitio onde querem ser enganados e mal-tratados, este é o sitio ideal. Fiz uma reserva com dois meses de antecedencia e quando cheguei a pensao, disseram que a reserva estava cancelada. Disseram que nao tinham mais quartos e simplesmente estavam a reservar quartos nesse mesmo momento por um valor 4 vezes mais elevado. Desde ofensas até me mandarem dormir na rua, ouvi de tudo. E por cima ainda estou sem o meu dinheiro. HORRIVEL

Booked Pensao Beira Minho but stayed in Nova Goa

I’ve booked my two night stay at Pensao Beira Minho but upon arrival, after climbing up to the old stairs to the second floor with our luggage, we were taken to Pensao Nova Goa that’s 2 blocks away, by the receptionist who took our information and said to us that that she’s bringing us to a place that’s newer and includes the breakfast. So in the end we didn’t stay at Pensao Beira Minho, but I felt glad that she did. The place looks like a very old building that requires a new and better look. Our stay at Pensao Nova Goa was ok, though I couldn’t even find the hotel on Hotel.com when I checked. The hotel requires cash payment upon arrival after I finished booking Beira Minho online and I found that very inconvenient. The hotel later emailed me separately for my CC info to confirm booking and I had to call and speak with a Hotel.com representative who then contact the hotel directly confirmed that I didn’t need to prove them CC info and that my booking was confirmed. So I didn’t stay at Beira Minho, but both places were in very good location, a few min walk from Rossio metro station, and the # 28 tram that costs $2.90 but covered by our 2-day metro pass.

Super location!

This was the first trip to Lisbon for my wife and I and we had a fantastic stay at this super conveniently located hotel. The staff were very kind and responsive to our needs.

Overpriced and scruffy

Enter via a grubby staircase and find " reception" on 2nd landing - no effort has been wasted on the decorating - continue to top floor to dismal gloomy corridors Room - bathroom acceptable, there is a coffee machine and choice of 3 beds - clean cotton sheets Floor is disintegrating Walls not decorated for years The noise in the square outside never stops There is no air-con so very little sleep Breakfast served on a tray - mainly plastic wrapped - sit on the bed to eat ?

Best location, everything in the vicinity.2 Mins from Metro and Rossio square. Stayed for a week. Comfort is bad as the beds used to crank while sleeping. Room was cleaned with new linen and towels everyday and was nice to see that way after returning from day trips.

Do not stay here. Security is compromised because anyone can get directly to every room on two (2) floors. Water leaks also are frequent as one can see in the reviews. By paying cash upon arrival one cannot place a claim for loss of property or water damage as one could with a credit card transaction.
