An exceptional stay!

My sister and I travelled around Lisbon last week and we absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Moon & Sun Lisboa. Firstly, the location was perfect for what we wanted to do. It’s super close to countless cafes, restaurants, shops and the famous Elevador de Santa Justa. Conveniently, it was only a short walk to the Baixa Chiado and Cais Do Sodré Metro stations, which meant that we had the freedom to explore more places around the town without having to rely on costly taxis and Ubers. Our stay at Hotel Moon & Sun was exceptional, the space was spotless and the staff were friendly, welcoming and hospitable. We were particularly impressed by the hotel’s facilities such as, functioning air conditioning, a Nespresso coffee machine, a TV, room service, complimentary water that was replenished daily and a hotel lift. We appreciated the special touches like the free beverage at the hotel bar on arrival and as we entered the room we were surprised with a sweet treat and a personal note. Selecting the right travel accommodation has an impact on your overall experience and we’re so relieved we chose to stay at Hotel Moon & Sun. We want to give our warmest thanks we look forward to visiting again!

Honestly can’t fault this hotel, the staff went above and beyond it felt so homely. The welcome sweat treat was the cherry on top of the cake but honestly don’t have a bad word to say, amazing location, amazing staff and amazing hotel would 100000% recommend :)

Loved this place!

Front desk staff was wonderful, helpful, and very accommodating. It’s a very cute quaint boutique hotel with a mix of modern and old charm. We loved staying here and were sad to leave. Oh & I would say it is in the perfect location for exploring the city

Absolutely amazing hotel to stay at. The was a small hiccup at check-in due to a computer issue that necessitated us move rooms on our 3rd day. Management communicated with us right away and provided appropriate compensation in the end. Close to public transportation, close to many dining choices and shopping. SERIOUS SAFETY CONCERNS - Hotel Moon & Sun, Portugal DO NOT STAY HERE Date of Incident: July 3, 2025 I am compelled to share this experience as a warning to other travelers, particularly solo female guests. What happened to me at Hotel Moon & Sun represents a fundamental failure of basic hotel security protocols that put guests in genuine danger. The incident: At 3:30 AM on July 3rd, while sleeping in my hotel room, I was awakened by the sound of someone attempting to enter my room using a key. I reached the door just in time to prevent it from opening fully. When I called out "who is there," the response was merely "I'm sorry, wrong room" with no explanation or follow-up from management that night. Critical Security Failures: This hotel has no peepholes in room doors and no interior safety locks that guests can engage - meaning once someone has a key to your room, you have no way to secure yourself inside. Despite having a "Do Not Disturb" sign posted, staff entered anyway in the middle of the night. Most Disturbing: THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE During my research after this incident, I discovered that an identical situation occurred to another female guest in September 2023. The fact that this exact scenario has repeated itself raises serious questions about the hotel's commitment to guest safety and whether these are truly "accidents." Management Inadequate Response The hotel's explanation was that their system had "rolled over" at midnight. This is unacceptable.

WARNING!! Unsafe for FEMALES. On July 3, 2025, at 3:20 am, a male employee broke into our hotel room and stood inside in the middle of night. We were so frightened that he was a rapist. After a month of emails, the hotel manager, Iris Godoy did NOTHING. They don’t care about the safety of their guests, and mock women for rightfully feeling violated by their EMPLOYEES. The hotel manager and supervisor didn’t answer to Expedia either and needs to be removed from their website. Attached is a screenshot of another female guest’s review of the same distributing break in by a male employee in the middle of the night during her 2023 stay.

This is a very clean and well-managed hotel in a very convenient section of Baixa, close to transportation and many of local visiting sites. It was recently completely renovated and provides a fantastic breakfast with lots of pastries in a beautiful and cozy dining room. Most of all, the staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable and always willing to help. Special recognition for: Francisco, Joao and Roselda for making our trip to Lisbon very meaningful.

The staff was unbelievable. We needed lots of water and it was always available. They kept me safe when we got food delivery at 3 AM. Easy to deal with when we needed extra items. Convenient walk to all things. No problem w/ getting Bolts/Ubers. We had a wonderful balcony w/ access from the bathroom and the sleeping area. AC was wonderful in the room and having a lift made things easier. Thank you for the amazing stay!
