Moldy shower, Smelly room

The room smelled damp and terrible. Yes, he's painting the exterior where paint smell may have bleed into room, but it smelled more dirty. There was mold in the shower ceiling AND all over the shower head. The 'fridge didn't have the little freezer section so I used their freezer for ice packs. The TV was difficult to watch as the hotel internet login kept showing up during a show. The place just felt very dirty. Happy their painting the Exterior, which is needed, but maybe Best to cleanup the Interior where guests put their heads...and loved ones. Love that the motel is pet friendly.

Questionable safety

We did not expect much. The first room we were assigned was full of mattresses. The second room the window did lock - our room was on the ground floor. Also the security door to enter the building from the parking lot did not lock, no need to use a room key as anyone could come and go. Re: breakfast...very sparse offering.

OK stay, but building needs some work.

Overall OK stay. Room had a broken ceiling light, chipped portions in the ceiling, a slow moving sink drain, and a bathtub faucet that you couldn't stop. TVs are small and dated, but functional. It gave a distinct feeling that the building wasn't kept up / updated well. The breakfast was reasonable for something included in the stay. Overall, for the price ($60), it was fine and the bed was reasonably comfortable so I don't want to give the impression it was awful, it just seems like the bare minimum of effort has been employed in keeping this building going.
