NO smoking...major benefit to me! Not too kosher with the prison right across the street though.
The motel had everything we needed but no elevator. Our luggage was pretty heavy and cumbersome using the stairs. I thought that was a little strange. But I guess if you have a disability they put you on the first floor.
Check-in was smooth. Hotel was relatively quiet. Pretty clean. Bed was comfortable enough and didn't have any annoying squeaks or anything. The bar and grill right next door has good food. My only critiques would be that our key cards didn't work all the time. I suspect they were getting worn outo but I don't really know. Also the bathroom door in our room had a catch so it was pretty loud when you closed it. Not a huge deal. Overall, I'd give it a solid 4 out of 5. I'd stay here again.

1st : The location of the hotel was in a very seedy part of Lincoln, NE. South of the city and hard to navigate to easily from I-80. I was worried that the area would produce some slashed tires or keyed paint on my 2015 Subaru. Thankfully it didn't but the bar across the alleyway certainly had enough characters to do that or worse to my property. Not a family area, for sure. If the Quality Inn location wasn't enough to stomach, the free breakfast topped it all. My wife elected to not eat their breakfast but I dove in and boy was this an adventure. 3/4's of a day later I'm running to the restroom at our destination every 40 minutes heaving my guts out from 1:00am thru 10am. I have never had food poisoning and I've never ever been this violently ill. I was down for over 2.5 days. This was the single worst event on a vacation I've ever experienced. It luckily didn't ruin the whole of the vacation, but it put a serious energy drain on my wife as she had to help me for days after I stopped yakking. Never Again..."Quality Inn" isn't going to be on our call list for our next night in a hotel.
This hotel gets the job done. It's clean and inexpensive. It's near a prison but otherwise seemed like a fine part of town and convenient to the highway.
The hotel is under renovation as of 9/10/12. THe bed was very comfortable. THe bathroom in our room was tiny: the door hit the toilet when fully open. Only a "half"tub in bathroom. THe room was spacious but crammed with desk table and office chair, pull-out loveseat, easy-chair with ottoman, large dorm refrigerator, then regular room stuff (bed, end-tables, lamps, dresser, TV) They tried to make a small room into a suite. The result was somewhat cramped. THe staff was very nice. Not something special but good for sleeeping.
I was in Lincoln for a test so I wanted to stay close to the testing center. Location-wise the hotel was great for me. But the best part of the hotel in my opinion was the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff!! They definitely went out of their way to help me as best they could! Otherwise, kind of standard for an older hotel that is currently going through some renovations.
