Will Definitely Stay Again

Cute condo with convenient location. Nice living area to relax and chat with guests. Tastefully decorated. Great communication with owner. Our stay here added to a great weekend.

Canceled After We Arrived. Left us with no place to stay.

I never give bad reviews & this was my first bad experience with a VRBO. We were visiting for Wake Forest parents weekend, drove through the hurricane, arrived at dinner, & I messaged the host because we hadn’t received our code. He replied immediately (only positive) that he was sorry & had to cancel our reservation. It was 6pm. The condo was overbooked on another platform & someone had already checked in. I don’t understand how this happens because we received VRBO emails reminding us for our upcoming stay. How did he not get reminders? We had to call multiple hotels because everything in the area was booked for family weekend. We paid double to stay in a low rate hotel. I am not sure if I can trust VRBO after this experience & I certainly wouldn’t book this one again. Beyond this we got nothing more than a 1 sentence message from the host saying “I’m sorry”… VRBO never reached out to apologize after I send direct feedback to them.
