We stayed here the weekend just gone. The hotel is easy to find and in a good location with restaurants nearby and also the Japanese gardens and a big park with a lake are very close by. I was a bit sceptical on arrival and entering the main staircase to go up to the room you could clearly smell cigarette smoke and what I will describe as "other smokable substances". The room was ok. Very outdated but the beds were comfy and everything wasn't in good working order. Surfaces were clean. Beds were clean. However the carpet really wasn't. We had our 8 month old with us who crawled about the room. After 5 minutes of crawling about, after a long journey stuck in a car, his hands and feet were completely black with dirt. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. My 4 year old wasn't too impressed that the swimming pool wasn't useable despite being able to see it through the window in reception. Breakfast was good. Choice of juice and coffee, cereals, toast, bagels, muffins, yoghurt, fruit etc. And it was constantly checked and filled quixkoy when things got low. All in all the stay was good. The hotel is dated but comfortable for the price you pay.
Were desperate for a hotel and got a room here for $89. The pool was broke which sucked, also the floor in the room was so dirty my toddlers feet were black from walking on it and there was hair still in the bath tub from whomever stayed before. The microwave in our room also made a horrible burning smell when we tried using it so couldnt use it.
We stayed a night here and found it very comfortable. The bed was great, and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was pretty standard, although they had a waffle maker which is nice. I'm not sure what the other reviewers are talking about, this is what I expect for a less than $100/night hotel. Maybe the other reviewers thought they were staying at a Fairmont? The room was pretty standard with a fridge and microwave, and the bathroom was a little outdated, however it was extremely clean and we had zero issues with the hotels location or any other aspect of our stay. The pool is closed which is kind of a let down, however the hot tub was open during our stay. We would stay here again for sure.
The hotel needs renovations including the baths (pieces coming off enamel). But it was clean & acceptable otherwise but on the "old" side. It is close to various restaurants so that is good. We didn't use it but there were only 3 machines to use in the exercise room. They are skimpy in the supplies..e.g. tiny soap bars...had 1 full lotion bottle & a 1/4 full shampoo bottle sitting in the bath area. Soap for the kitchenette area was in a pop bottle & just coated the bottom of it...need to add water to get any of it to use!
My room was tiny. Had a door that opened into parking lot and also into the hallway. Pool and hot tub were both broken. The front desk staff calls broken with no hope of repair "under renovation." The breakfast space was cramped. Impossible to move around. I couldn't tell if the room was dirty or just so outdated that it was hard to clean. Don't stay here.
advertised pool but on arrival we found pool is permanently closed. we unfortunately payed already online, don't make that mistake. room smells like it was sitting closed for a while. smells kinda like sitting water. room was small. the bathroom was small if you are at least 6 feet you will hit the shower curtain bar, that was annoying. i am grateful that i got to sleep in a bed rather than the car, and front counter lady was awesome and very helpful.
Worst motel we stayed at on our trip. No a/c, repair guys knew less how to fix it than the front desk. Then to top it off found pupes and bloodstains on the sheets! Went to talk to the Manager and nowhere to be found either that night or in the morning when we checked out. Left the front desk our cel number for the manager to call us but never did. Was obvious that the sheets where never changed nor washed. Would give a zero rating is possible. Front desk was of no help nor offered to refund our money! Would have moved but no rooms within 100 miles.
Well.... it's different. And not expensive. but I was at the end of the hallway and it really reminded me of The Shining. The furnishings are dated and put together a but slapdash. Most of the staff were pretty nice and effective. There are a few grumps though. Breakfast was good if you're a fan of lots of carbs.
This is my Go To in Lethbridge, and I was pleased that an organization I work with booked us there for an event. As usual, my room was clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and professional, and self serve waffles for breakfast are excellent! Two things lead me to rate it 4 instead of 5. I was in a room that could sdjoin the room next door and my neighbours' conversation could be heard through the door. Also, I never got the TV to work. I don't care much about TV, so it didn't bother me much and I didn't mention it. I'm confident the staff would have dealt with it had I told them. I'll be at the Super 8 next time I'm in Lethbridge.
Breakfast was a pleasant surprise to find out they also provide a waffle machine instead of just a continental breakfast. The room itself was something of a disappointment. It was narrow, smelt a bit musty, very stuffy at night and the tiny bathroom was dirty. The tub was stained and floor corners behind the door was accrued dirt. On a positive note the beds were comfortable with what seemed fresh almost new bedding, changed on second night. Staff were friendly.
