Breakfast was a pleasant surprise to find out they also provide a waffle machine instead of just a continental breakfast. The room itself was something of a disappointment. It was narrow, smelt a bit musty, very stuffy at night and the tiny bathroom was dirty. The tub was stained and floor corners behind the door was accrued dirt. On a positive note the beds were comfortable with what seemed fresh almost new bedding, changed on second night. Staff were friendly.
Room was spacious. Staff are friendly. I like their breakfast. It would be better to have hot breakfast option too. Only thing i dont like is the other guests who were staying in the west side of the hotel building. They seems to be troublemakers.
Bathroom is not clean, bathtub is old and has wear and tear. there's hair on the bath tub and wall too. there's two dirty towels hanging behind the door ( from previous occupants), bathroom is too small as well, Bump my head so many times whenever entering the door. The bed skirt has a big mark/ stain as well and need some washing. At around 1-2 am, It is still loud outside, people talking and even heard some knocking on our door. Didnt get a good sleep at all. Swimming pool is not working during our stay. Room is spacious enough except bathroom.
We stayed over the long weekend in May and found the rooms to be clean, the bed to be new and the breakfast was as advertised. All and all good value for the money. The room had very good water pressure and lots of hot water.
We had a group booking here in May of 11 rooms. The booking process was bulky, I had assumed that we were booked based on an email response but the luckily I rechecked otherwise we would have been roomless at the time of check in. We had told them we were arriving between 2-3am and asked specifically if all would be in order. Apparently that wasn't enough for them. I have done group bookings many times for sports teams and experienced the normal care that other hotels provide. Unfortunately this Super 8 didn't compare. They required silly paper work that had already been supplied by email to be done at 230am when we were exhausted and just wanted to crash in bed. They also took exception to our late arrival despite us warning them of the time we would get there. Essentially it was a pain in their neck for us to be there instead of the "glad to see you approach" that we received in other hotels.
Good value for the price paid.Room was nice and clean. Quiet and nicely located on Mayor Magrath boulevard which is a main street in Lethbridge. Hotel is close to amenities and attractions. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was good.
We had a long drive and some troubles in Calgary, so we just continued driving to Lethbridge where our destination was. Aaron at the Front desk went above and beyond to help us and make our stay worthwhile! The room was comfortable and all we needed for 1 night stay. Also the gentleman that checked us out was a nice kind guy! We definitely would stay there again!
I have stayed at the super 8 in Lethbridge about 3 different weeks, during each of the last 2 summers(my company tends to book super 8) and I have had consistently terrible stays every time. The worst are the 2 times me and my co-worker I'm sharing the room with, stuff has been haphazardly gathered up ( jammed together) and put in storage while we're at work for the day. I'm talking about left over sushi and shampoo leaking all over his bag. This was to move us into a different room due to some booking conflicts. We can pretty much count on our key cards being invalid every second night when we get back from hard day. The pool has never been in service in the 2 different years I have stayed, and the hot tub rarely is. The gym is a joke, the towels feel like steel wool, the bathroom is tiny, you'll probably end up in one of the stinkest smoked-out rooms you've ever been in. I'm sure I could go on but the Wi-fi here at the Super 8 in Lethbridge is probably about to cut out for 10 minutes again. I will say most of the beds are pretty comfy at least.
Staff were a mixed bag: some where happy and helpful, others were curt and cold. It only takes one to turn you away. If you expect me to put up with curt and cold, you should pay me to stay there. I've stayed here three times in about two years. Twice now the pool and hot tub have been shut down for repairs. Might be just my luck, but I'd like to get a good hot soak when I travel that far.
Booked this hotel due to the advertised facilities. They advertise a pool and hot tub. However they were both out of service. The front desk manager ( Sara) said it was advertised on there website. After further investigation , I found a small disclaimer that stated the pool was out of service until March 8. It was Saturday April 1st !! She stated " Yeah, just needs to be updated but its on there " ???? Got into our room and the refrigerator and the TV did not function. They moved us to another room, however we went from 2 queens to 2 double beds. I have stayed here before on company business and had a good stay, however after this horrific, false advertised and rude staff, I will not stay here, will not recomend to anyone and will make sure no one from our company will stay here. The only positive thing I can say is that the gentleman who was cleaning rooms was very polite and helped carry our bags up the stairs.
